Liberals in Action: Beating Conservatives and MSNBC
Liberals are always in action in one way or another. Whether they’re fixing elections, slandering conservatives, protesting on behalf of homosexuals, condemning pro-lifers, or marching in state capitals and in Washington, they’re always up to something.
They also subscribe to the non-axiomatic philosophy that if you won’t join them, then just beat them. Literally beat them.
At least that was the experience of the senior editor for Human Events.com, Emily Miller, when she attempted to interview beleagured Harlem congressman, Charlie Rangel, at the October 2nd “One Nation Working Together” rally in D.C.
That misnomered description of the rally, intended to counterbalance Glenn Beck’s September rally at the capital but which was a sparsely-attended failure compared to Beck’s despite unions busing in thousands, was as incongruous as Charlie still being permitted to hold his seat in the House of Representatives but those are whole other stories.
Ms. Miller, former State Department deputy press secretary and former associate producer at ABC News, is a petite woman unaccustomed to literal knock-down-drag-outs that are more appropriate for Harlem bars at closing time than for a political gathering yet she was almost subjected to a knock-down at that ultra-liberal rally.
Fortunately, the assault and battery by the black, liberal “activist” was videotaped.
Let Human Events reporter Jason Mattera describe what happened: “Emily Miller was first hit from behind while she was taping Rangel . . . Miss Miller is heard on the video saying, ‘Please don’t hit me.’ The protester proceeds to yell at [Miller], ‘Well get out of the way! What do you think this is? A–hole.’ Miss Miller continued videotaping the event, when suddenly the same unhinged protester lunged at her, hit her on the arm, and yelled, ‘Don’t take my picture!’
It got better, or worse from Ms. Miller’s point of view.
