Islamic Insights into Islam

Some people firmly believe that we are known by the company we keep. I’m not certain whether that qualifies as an established truism but we can certainly be known by the manner in which we treat our own.

Islam, Islamic nations, Muslims generally treat “their own” dismally at best and often inhumanely.

Take, for example, Islamic Pakistan which is currently being almost being flooded out of existence.

One would think that fellow Islamic nations, a number of which are wealthy beyond imagining, would be lined up to offer financial and humanitarian assistance to the millions of Pakistanis.

If one so thought, one would be miserably wrong. What aid is being sent is predominantly being provided by private Muslim groups, not Muslim countries which, for the most part, are practicing a policy of benign neglect toward fellow Islamic Pakistan.

That would be the same policy of neglect applied to Muslim Palestinians whose plight is bemoaned by the Islamic world at the same time it makes no effort to alleviate Palestinian suffering.

However, Islamists also demonstrate their inhumanity toward their own in a number of other ways. . .
