Signs of the End of Obama's Reign?

It may be an exercise in wishful thinking, but there are clear indications that Emperor Barack Hussein Obama’s assaults on the Constitution, his wars against the wealthy and middle class, against religion, against women, against prosperity, against Israel are all taking their toll and his despotic rule may be coming to an end.




In about 146 days, to be precise.



The very welcome signs are not just the obvious ones.



Continued economic stagnation, persistently high unemployment, widespread dismay over a raft of broken promises, and public disgust over admistration scandals and the president’s gaffes, lies, vacations, and golf games certainly will play a major part in Obama’s defeat on November 6th.



However, it is the erosion of his political base that must be giving David Axelrod and Company the hebejebes, if not chronic diarrhea, and causing similar reactions for Empress Michelle. She has to be wondering who will pay for her future extravagances and whether she will remain proud of her country should her hubby lose.



Thanks to the president’s sudden evolution on same-sex marriage and his dubious success in repealing the military’s DADT policy, he still has a lock on the homosexual vote. So, too, will a large majority of Latinos, African-Americans, and Jews cast their ballots for Obama.



Blacks will again vote for him in droves primarily because he is “one of their own” and despite complaints he hasn’t done nearly enough for the black community over the past three and a half years. Latinos will again vote for him in the expectation that with more “flexibility” in a second term Obama will legalize undocumented aliens despite the fact he has failed them.



Jews will again vote for Obama mainly because they have almost always voted for Democrats and despite his well-known antagonism toward the state of Israel and its president, Benjamin Netanyahu.



However, the electoral devil is in the ethnic details.



Obama garnered an unprecedented 93% of black votes in 2008 and, assuredly, most African-Americans will follow suit in 2012 but, based on North Carolina and Spike Lee, he won’t enjoy comparable numbers this year.



According to the authoritative BusinessInsider.com, the “Democrat-leaning” Public Policy Polling has found that Republican Mitt Romney would get 20% of the African-American vote and Barack Obama 76%.



That’s a comfortable margin for the president until one considers that in 2008 he won with 95% of the N.C. tally and Romney is now beating Obama 48% to 46% in the state. (http://tinyurl.com/6tux346)

Barack Hussein Obama Will Win Re-Election (Part One)

As difficult as it is to concede, barring a disaster or intercession by an almighty power, President Barack Hussein Obama will win re-election on November 6th. The final vote tally will be far from a landslide but a sufficient proportion of the electorate will ensure the president serves another disastrous term.

That prediction is based on a variety of factors not the least of which is the widely-held expectation that Obama and all the president’s men and women will wage the dirtiest campaign since the populist Andrew Jackson beat the Democrat-Republican John Quincy Adams in 1828.

Obama will also win on a populist platform predicated on calculated distortions and misrepresentations supplemented by his hole cards of racial and class warfare and he will be bankrolled with a billion dollar campaign treasury.

However, the principal reason he will emerge victorious is not the nefarious tactics he and his minions will employ but that he has locked up various constituencies which will cast Democrat ballots because they almost always have and despite compelling reasons to vote otherwise.

Those constituencies in order of Democrat allegiance:

. African-Americans. Understandably, blacks chose a fellow, if semi, African-American in 2008 because, well, because he was almost black. If I were a black man, I would have supported him simply because of his race and centuries of oppression and disenfranchisement. However, the second time around, I would have supported the candidate who would best serve the interests of the country.

Thirteen percent of the electorate, fully 96% of blacks, voted for Obama four years ago versus 43 percent of whites. While the 96% was anticipated, the 43% reflected the amazing number of “white guilters” who felt it was time for a minority presence in the White House regardless of his lack of qualifications and experience as belated recompense for the enslavement of Obama’s forebears.

In spite of the fact the president has done as little for blacks–aside from hiring them in record numbers and for highly visible positions–as he has for other races, the African-American community is a sure bet to go for Obama in 2012 by margins approximating 2008 particularly but not exclusively due to his politicizing the tragic death of Trayvon Martin.

Chalk up around 13% for Obama.

. Jewish Americans. Jews are by nature and history liberal since they have been discriminated against even longer than blacks. They have endured oppression and slavery for thousands of years, and have been Democrats for as long as there has been an America.

Nevertheless, there is ample cause for Jews to abandon their loyalties to the Democrat Party this year , . . .

I recently watched, for the second time, Steven Spielberg’s “Schindler’s List,” the movie Jerry Seinfeld largely missed because he was, umm, busy with his date in the balcony, at least on his television show.

Though not a Jew like Seinfeld, I was moved again by the unspeakable horrors depicted in “Schindler,” merciless murders by the Nazis of innocent people whose only crime was being Jewish, genocidal acts which were dwarfed by Mao Ze-Dong and Jozef Stalin but which were no less horrible.

The slaughter of six million Jews by Hitler, Himmler, and their accomplices should never be forgotten by anyone, no matter their religion. It was a crime committed not only against Jews but against humanity and all humanity was diminished by both its commission and the refusal of civilized nations to acknowledge it until it was too late.

However, despite the enormity of the Jewish Holocaust, it was far from the worst example of genocide. With over 50,000,000 victims to date and counting, abortion has to be considered the worst, even if it is now legal and socially acceptable.

Pro-life activist and founder of Operation Rescue, Randall Terry, has pointed out distinctions between Hitler’s victims and victims of abortion. A Democrat Party candidate for president in 2012, Terry rightly perceives anti-Semitism as a plague on the Earth and outlined the differences between the Jewish Holocaust and the abortion holocaust.

Citing ”the chasm of disparity between the motivation to hate any people group vs. the deliberate murder of our own flesh and blood,” Terry concludes ”that these two holocausts are not only different, but that the slaughter of unborn babies is a far worse crime against God and man.”

Unlike what is happening to millions of innocents today, Randall argues that the people Hitler slaughtered in his maniacal quest for racial purification had some defenses, however limited they were. . .

It hasn’t been been an “if” for a long time and the “when” now appears imminent. The dilemma for the United States remains, When Israel launches its long-anticipated tactical strike at Iranian nuclear facilities, what will America do?

Despite being beset with economic upheaval and by endless threats from its other Muslim neighbors, it’s nevertheless a foregone conclusion that Israel will soon replicate the September 6th, 2007 attack on Syria’s al-Kibar nuclear weapons site which effectively ended the Assad regime’s pretensions of dominating the Mideast.

There is one significant difference between the al-Kibar strike by Israel’s IAF and the expected operation to eradicate Iran’s nuke capabilities, namely, al-Kibar preceded the presidency of Barack Hussein Obama.

The latest news out of Washington is that the unilateralism-averse Obama administration has been pressuring the U.N. Security Council and the two permanent members who have opposed tougher sanctions, China and Russia, to support American initiatives intended to forestall a unilateral attack by Israel against the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Fat chance, as is the chance Israel will heed Obama’s importunings not to take out a growing and virtually-certain danger before it becomes an accomplished fact and much of the tiny Jewish state is decimated.

The latest news out of Tel Aviv is that Israel is developing ICBM capabilities and launched a test missile just two days after Israeli President Benjamin Netanyahu again warned of the threat posed by Iran’s nuclear program. Those ominous developments followed reports Netanyahu has been working to firm up his cabinet’s endorsement of a first strike.

Israel is preparing for war.

Given international and IAEA awareness of Iranian progress in both missile technology and nuclear capabilities, Iran’s persistent declarations of wiping Israel off the face of the map, and their most recent vow to inflict “heavy damages to the US as well as to the Zionist regime” in the event of a pre-emptive strike, that pre-emption is a certainty.

The only uncertainty is how the United States should react. . .

We Are All Jews, Sort of, on Rosh Hashanah

In a certain sense, Americans are all Jews, that is, if we only consider our Judeo-Christian heritage and disregard the millions of Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists, Sikhs, etc. who are American citizens. Semi-Jews at heart or no, it hasn’t been smooth sailing between those who adhere to the religion of Abraham and Christians.

The late Pope Pius XII and, by inference, the entire Catholic Church, have long been accused by Jews and the Jewish media of not merely sympathizing with WWII fascists and Nazis but of actual complicity in the Holocaust.

That calumny still exists three generations after the Holocaust and despite the historical record that Pope Pius condemned anti-Semitism, interceded on behalf of Rome’s Jews and Jewish people in Slovakia and other nations, and was even cited as a conspirator in the attempted assassination of Hitler in 1944. Still, he was accused of not doing nearly enough and not publicly denouncing the Nazis.

Living in Benito Mussolini’s fascist, an ally of Adolph Hitler’s Nazi Germany, it’s entirely possible that had he protested much more the Vatican could have been reduced to a mass of rubble.

Not to be forgotten either is that hundreds of Catholics protected and saved the lives of thousands of Jews and literally hundreds of thousands of Catholics surrendered their lives during the Second World War in the cause of freedom and, not incidentally, freed millions of Jews from oppression and concentration camps.

The Second Vatican Council (1962-1965) marked a watershed in Catholic-Jewish relations by instituting reforms which included an outreach to Jews in an attempt to salve the wounds of centuries of antipathies, misunderstandings, and lack of inter-communication.

Whether all of Vatican II’s reforms and changes were beneficial to the Church is still a matter of conjecture although the effort to institute a dialogue with Jews and dispel age-old beliefs of Jews as Jesus-killers who subsequently committed atrocities against Christian children in the Middle Ages was clearly a step forward but, apparently, some Jewish people wanted more and bigger steps.

Some years ago, the radical Jewish Defense League adopted the slogan “Never Forget!” meaning Jews would never forget the horrors of the Holocaust and, by implication, would never tolerate its repetition. Both were eminently reasonable, if unnecessary, goals.

They were reasonable for obvious reasons but unnecessary since Jews and Jewish groups the world over have never forgotten and, in fact, all too often invoke memories of Hitler’s “Final Solution” whenever an issue arises which they perceive as somehow exhibiting anti-Semitism.

A major drawback to those repetitive, kneejerk reactions is that they serve to worsen rather than alleviate the problem, especially today when anti-Jewish sentiment and incidents are becoming increasingly common in various European nations.

In addition, when Jews use the Holocaust as an instrument to interfere with the internal affairs of the Catholic Church, they are foolishly overstepping the bounds of reconciliation.

Unfortunately, some Jewish groups have done precisely that by protesting the Vatican’s attempt to heal its own house by engaging in dialogue with the traditionalist Society of Pius X and trying to reunite that “breakaway” sect with the Church. . . .

There’s long been more than a sneaking suspicion that President Barack Hussein Obama is a dyed-in-the-wool anti-Semite although there’s no doubt he is more prone to gaffes than even George W. Bush. His closet anti-Semitism may have met his “gaffery” over the weekend at the Congressional Black Caucus awards in Washington.

Quickly scrubbed from the official transcript of Obama’s speech advocating class warfare–technically, he was addressing what he called a growing disparity of wealth in the United States–the president mixed up Jews and janitors before he realized his Freudian slip but he had already been caught by the tale of the (video)tape.

I guess it’s easy to confuse the two. After all, both words begin with a “J.”

Not that much of the mainstream media will make mention of Obama’s “Jews janitors” flub; they’re still more interested in Bush gaffes.

The Jewish vote is, of course, critical to his re-election, not as critical as the black, union, and homosexual votes but very significant nonetheless. He needs money from all of them to hit his goal of a billion dollar campaign chest.

Blacks, unionists, and gays are guaranteed supporters but those Jewish backers have been slip, slip, slipping away in view of the administration’s policies on the Mideast and his kowtowing to Arab potentates and catering to Muslim interests at home. The last thing he needed at this point was to demean Jews but he did so anyway, assuming that confusing Jews with janitors is demeaning.

In Obama’s talk to the CBC, he was in the middle of another rant against the rich when he blurted out, “If asking a billionaire to pay the same tax rate as a Jew uhh as a janitor . . .

Years ago, the extremist Jewish Defense League adopted a catchphrase to denote their refusal to ever allow a repetition of the horror of the Nazi Holocaust which claimed the lives of some 6,000,000 Jewish lives : Never again! The JDL may be extreme but that slogan is anything but.

The slogan should be adopted with equivalent vehemence by the government of the United States and, if our government refuses to publicly proclaim the motto, “Never again!” in response to potential future holocausts such as those committed against America on September 11th, 2001, Americans should rise up and demand it be incorporated into our national foreign and domestic policies.

Subsequent attacks on our homeland could make what happened to the Jews seem like a minor blip in the history of humanity’s carnage.

Extreme? In a little-publicized comment, President Barack Hussein Obama concurred with America’s resident Muslim quisling, Fareed Zakaria, that the United States could “bounce back” even from terrorist nuclear attacks on our cities since we are so “resilient.”

There exists a common, mostly Christian, belief that good people should “forgive those who trespass” against them.

“Trespassing” can mean many things from intruding on our property to violating national borders with the intent of doing us harm; forgiving can refer to pardoning those who insult us to sparing the lives of those who murder Americans either on our soil or in a just war.

General Norman Schwarzkopf, retired commander of coalition forces in the first Persian Gulf War, succinctly reflected on the latter by saying, “Forgiveness is up to God. I just hope we hurry up the meeting.”

Allah may forgive Islamists. It’s doubtful a true God would, . . .

Israel Reconfigured and Reconsidered

“Obama Is No Friend of Israel” blared the headline on SayAnything.com with variations on other blogs and in the print media in the wake of the president’s announcement that he was effectively screwing the Jewish nation. His “final solution” for Israel’s border wars, though he dare not use that term, would make everyone in the area happy and peaceful and ready to play together in perpetual peace and harmony.

Confirmed and reinforced in his tense Friday sit-down with Israel’s furious, diplomatically-assertive Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Obama’s scheme is to have Israel return to its pre-6 Day War, 1967 borders, tantamount in this age of sophisticated rocketry in the bloody hands of Hamas to asking Israel to commit national suicide.

That said, two questions: One, why is it such a surprise to so many that Israel is not at the top of Obama’s buddy list and, two, why should he be? The answers to both queries are complex with the first less so than the second.

It’s either incredibly naive or amazingly stupid to be surprised that the president cares not a whit about the nation of Israel. Whether he would prefer it to be totally submerged in the Mediterranean as Arab states wish is debatable but his affinity for those states and all things and people Islamic is not. An excellent rule of thumb to gauge Obama is to note carefully what he says and then to compare and contrast those statements with what he does, has done, and refuses to do.

They’re remarkably different.

Obama tows the line with what he says, mouthing platitudes and the conventional pap about how much America loves Israel, how important an ally it is, how our support is unwavering, etc. etc. At the same time, he adamantly refuses to acknowledge a worldwide war against Islamic terrorism, he bows to Saudi potentates, he inexplicably instructs NASA to focus not on space but on building Arab self-esteem. Is pushing for a Palestinian state such a stretch? . . .

A Tribute, of Sorts, to Helen Thomas

I guess Helen Thomas figured that if Jimmy Carter could do it, so could she, not lusting in her heart as Jimmy admitted but consenting to an interview in Playboy Magazine.

Poor 90 year old Helen.

Grand Old Dame of the White House Press Corps, (“corpse” to Obama), 57 year UPI veteran, first female member of the Gridiron Club along with a host of other firsts, was ousted from her prestigious position in the front row at presidential pressers as well as from everything else last May after making off-the-cuff comments about Israel, Jews, and Palestinians.

Harridan when it came to haranguing Republican presidents, creampuff when it came to Democrats, Helen should have known better than to stray off PC message on issues near and dear to the hearts of the Jewish Lobby. Of Lebanese Arab extraction, she committed the unforgivable political faux pas of letting slip the truth as she saw it regarding Israel, “Tell them to get the hell out of Palestine,” embellished with a few other gems.

Banished to retirement if not oblivion for her indiscretion, Thomas re-emerges in the April Playboy to defend and reiterate her May opinions. Feisty to the end, she says, “I knew exactly what I was doing–I was going for broke. I had reached the point of no return. You finally get fed up. . . I finally wanted to speak the truth.”

Most of that is baloney; she just slipped up without thinking of the repercussions.

However, to her credit, she hasn’t backed down, saying in the interview that, “Sure, the Israelis have a right to exist–but where they were born, not to come and take someone else’s home.” She also expresses her admiration for the “wonderful” Jewish people: ”They were leaders in civil rights. They’ve always had the heart for others but not for Arabs, for some reason. I’m not anti-Jewish; I’m anti-Zionist.”

More baloney but all well and good, so far.

Then, Thomas reverts to her May indiscretions, hitting sacrosanct Jewish beliefs: “The slaughter of Jews stopped with World War II . . . They were liberated since then. And yet they carry on the victimization. American people do not know that the Israeli lobbyists have intimidated them into believing every Jew is a persecuted victim forever–while they are victimizing Palestinians . . . Why do they inflict the same pain on people who did nothing to them?”

As if that were not enough to ensure she will never get back her front row seat at White House press conferences–which was pretty unlikely, anyway–Hellacious Helen took on the Holocaust. . .

It seems that, even as I came across as a Jew-hater to some, others interpreted my sentiments in “What’s With All the Jew-Bashing?” (http://www.genelalor.com/blog1/?p=3756) as evidence I am an Israel-apologist.

In truth, I am neither.

Rather, I am an American Firster revivified, someone who believes to his core in the United States, in all it is, in all it stands for, and in all I hope it will be. I also subscribe to the antiquated notion that those who are not with us are against us. If we include “those against us” as any nation or people who have disparate aims from ours and would be more than willing to sacrifice the United States to their ultimate goals then I would have to say they are against us.

If that profile fits Israel, so be it.

That said, the following angry yet comical diatribe was posted as a comment on the Jew-bashing article. It’s too preciously inane, vitriolic, and wrong to be incorporated as a mere addendum to previous postings and deserves some extra attention if only to illustrate the inanity, the vitriol, and the wrong-ness out there in blogland.

There’s a certain undercurrent out there which seems more and more to be bubbling up to surface current status and it’s not good news for those of the Jewish extraction.

In Europe, where anti-Semitism reached its apogee in Germany and Austria following the punitive features of the Treaty of Versailles and the rise of Naziism, England has now become a hotbed of violence against Jews and the ADL is reporting significant anti-Semitism in France, Poland, and Hungary, as well as in Germany and Austria.

Here at home, Mel Gibson’s drunken tirade against a Jewish cop in Malibu in 2006 in which he allegedly said, “F**king Jews . . The Jews are responsible for all the wars in the world,” made headlines worldwide and his girlfriend, Oksana Grigorieva dug his Hollywood hole even deeper when she revealed he once said, ”I want Jew blood on my hands.” Gibson is now gone, Oksana is suing him, he’s countersuing, and the cop, Deputy James Mee, is suing the LAPD.

Anyone else need a scorecard? It never seems to end, not just the court battles but the tirades.

Last summer, the leftist and Buddhist movie director Oliver Stone seemed to be channeling Gibson when he said, “Hitler did far more damage to the Russians than the Jewish people.”

Stone asked then answered his own question, “Why such a focus on the Holocaust then? The Jewish domination of the media. . ."

Evil has been defined as “morally reprehensible.” That definition fails to do justice to the evil that is George Soros.

There are few words more pejorative and demeaning than the word “evil.” The word conjures up disturbing, devilish visions of unremitting wickedness and abject immorality. ”Evil” should not be used lightly but when deeds or individuals defy more benign description it must be used. György Schwartz, aka George Soros, is evil incarnate.

Variously described as a financier and philanthropist, on his website, and as a bizarre, manipulative, nefarious, soul-less psychopath and criminal anarchist by more objective sources, Schwartz-Soros, a Hungarian-born Jew, actually facilitated the Nazi occupation of his native country and persecution of his fellow Jews, an insidious propensity for treachery and treasonous behavior he later brought to England and America.

Even before young György’s father renounced Judaism, György capitalized on the Holocaust-in-progress by collaborating with the Nazi occupiers in Hungary. Fully aware they were being transported to their deaths, he helped facilitate the shipment of Jews to concentration camps in order to confiscate their property. As if abandoning his heritage, his people, and his nation weren’t sufficiently evil, just last month Soros freely confessed he didn’t give a damn about anything he did and offered no regrets for his actions.

In an article titled, “George Soros, Nazi Obsessive,” Kyle-Anne Shiver discusses Soros’–and his equally-amoral father’s–financial skullduggeries in Budapest and cites some of György’s recent descents into evil in America. His senseless, repugnant comparisons of President George W. Bush to Hitler, after young György had prospered as a Nazi enabler, and his attack machine, MoveOn.org’s, vicious abuse of General David Petraeus as “General Betrayus” only emphasized Soros’ character flaws and deficits as a human being.

On what basis Soros felt qualified to call himself one of “us,” as an American, is as much an enigmatic evil as Soros.

What Shiver does not emphasize in her excellent article is the overriding danger and threat George Soros poses for the nation he presumptuously calls his own. She goes much too easy on him. She quotes him telling a reporter in 2003 the many reasons he despised GWB and saying, “My experiences under Nazi and Soviet rule have sensitized me” to Bush’s alleged Nazi proclivities: http://tiny.cc/0gd5y

The thought of Soros being “sensitized” to anything aside from Soros is beyond absurd.

Shiver contends that Soros “has a Nazi problem,” which he does, as well as severe and chronic ethical and moral problems. Anyone who can say, as Soros did later in life, that the year 1944 during which he aided, abetted, and profited from the mass . . .

The little I saw of him, Rick Sanchez, formerly host of “Rick’s List” in CNN’s 3-5 p.m. time slot, seemed like a sincere, straightforward, personable enough sort. He was more than a tad too straightforward in a radio interview, hence the reason he’s a former host.

I don’t think I’m in danger of stereotyping when I say Sanchez, a Cuban-born American with no obvious accent, shared a common trait among latinos, that of being passionate, passionate enough to lose his cool–and his job of 6 years with CNN. He got pissed during a Serius/XM radio interview with Pete Dominick and let loose with some opinions which were considered dismissal-worthy by his CNN bosses.

Sanchez’ comments about discrimination in general, about bias against women and Hispanics in particular, and concerning Comedy Central’s “Daily Show” host Jon Stewart whom he called a bigot, probably wouldn’t have gotten him canned since there’s a provable element of truth in such accusations.

What got him bunches of free time to plug his new book, Conventional Idiocy, Why the New America Is Sick of Old Politics, was not just touching but grabbing onto the third rail with his intimations that Jews controlled the media and with such statements as, “I can’t see somebody not getting a job somewhere because they’re Jewish.”

To that last, Dominick quipped, “Well, then you’ve never been to Nebraska,” but the damage was already done.

I’ve never been to Nebraska, either, nor do I plan on traveling there in the near future or during this lifetime, so I can’t reflect on job opportunities for Jews in the Cornhusker State but I think Sanchez was speaking in generalities with that pretty accurate comment.

Less general were his views on alleged Jewish control of the media. . . .

“The United States of America is the only country in history to have defined itself as Judeo-Christian,” according to JewishWorldReview,com, which goes on to say, “That is why American coins feature these two messages: ‘In G-d we trust’ and ‘Liberty.’ “

I think the first statement above is untrue and the second, meant to distinguish us from Christian European nations, is a non-sequitur not logically derived from the first.

The “definition” of America as “Judeo-Christian” has a fairly recent history advanced by those who wish it were so. Trusting in a “Christian God” as well as believing in liberty were foundational concepts of our Revolution and in the establishment of our Constitution and are certainly not attributable to any Jewish influence.

Granted, the Founding Fathers were well aware of the Jewish heritage and of Christianity’s relationship to that heritage and many, including Franklin, Jefferson, and Madison, were Deists or dabblers in Deism. Deism, the popular monotheistic, religious fad of the Age of Enlightenment held that God was some detached ”Supreme Architect” of the universe rather than an involved Supreme Being, a Prime Mover not a personal God.

Point is, none of the Founders ever referred to the new nation they created as Judeo-Christian. They all knew their Bible well, both Old and New Testaments, but were, at worst, closet Christians; Jefferson even wrote The Life and Morals of Jesus of Nazareth.

This is all relevant today, two and a quarter centuries later, as our president, an ambivalent Christian at best, is suspected of being a closet Muslim. If that in fact is true, he’s covered his tracks well, getting married and having his daughters christened in an ostensibly Christian church and, when his popularity plummetted and mid-term elections loomed, actually attending a D.C. church service.

Whether his trusty teleprompter was in the repair shop or he just felt flush from his recent bamboozling of the American people, Mr. Obama went to Muslim Turkey six months after his election and disabused the Turks and the world and America’s 225 million Christians of the notion that America was any longer a Christian nation. . .

Almost exactly four years ago, director/actor Mel Gibson was pulled over by a cop in L.A. on suspicion of driving while three sheets to the wind, an ancient nautical term for being drunk as a skunk.

Mad Mel let loose a memorable, obscene tirade almost as memorable and obscene as his taped conversations with former lover Oksana Grigorieva. Back in 2006, however, the object of his disaffection was not slutty behavior on the part of his former lover but the militaristic behavior on the part of an entire people, Jews.

“Jews are responsible for all the war in the world,” he allegedly said to a police officer among other F-word-laced, no doubt slurred comments.

Gibson subsequently apologized profusely and, if not forgiven, was dismissed as yet another anti-Semite.

It must have something to do with the weather this time of year out on the Left Coast or due to something in the water supplied by the L.A. Department of Water and Power but another Hollywood type has just ripped those same people.

This time it was a liberal darling, none other than screen writer/director/iconoclast Oliver Stone, a man who has devoted much of his career to puncturing holes in American beliefs and values. Stone went much further in ripping Jews than Gibson ever dreamed of doing in his frank remarks to the Sunday London Times. Among his gems: . . .

It’s long past time for America to consider the heretical idea of amending the Constitution and make new openings on the Supreme Court term-limited if not elective offices.

When the Founding Fathers devised the Constitution in the late eighteenth century, life expectancy at birth, thanks to rampant diseases, was a mere 24 years although, depending on where one lived, it could range up to 60 in New England, 45 in the Middle Colonies and 35 in the South. Those figures are according to Encyclopedia.com.

Averaging the 3 locales, a person could expect to live 46.7 years, with a little bit of luck. Today, thanks to the marvels of modern science and medicine, Americans can reasonably expect to live well into their seventies and beyond and late eighties and nineties are no longer unusual.

Oh, great someone or something way up there high in the sky we ask your blessings. Amen.

That wasn’t precisely the prayer dictated by the Commonwealth of Virginia in 2008. In fact, no prayer was dictated but the tradition of permitting Virginia State Police chaplains to invoke the name of Jesus Christ was ended in favor of a non-denominational “prayer,” if it could be called a prayer, to be offered at all official police functions.

Favored by then-governor Tim Kaine (D), the new rule effectively ended a policy in place since the founding of the volunteer police chaplains organization in 1979. The old rule was just re-instituted by Republican Governor Bob McDonnell.

The new governor said through a spokesman that, “The Governor does not believe the state should tell chaplains of any faith how to pray,” adding, “The Governor believes that longstanding bipartisan policy is the appropriate one. There’s still hope out there, folks, for those of you who have verged on despair over the secularism, materialism, and the “I want-ism” of your kids over the last few weeks but that hope won’t be found in many Blue States.

Further west, in the belly of the beast, a Redding, California substitute teacher was far more bodacious in her objections to “working in [public] schools where students aren’t allowed to sing Christmas songs that are religious in nature.”

Aptly named and christened Merry Hyatt is proposing “a ballot initiative that would require all public schools in California to give children the opportunity to sing or listen to Christmas carols:” http://bit.ly/58pPQS

The first order of business here should be to give Merry a sanity hearing, not for her proposal but for her clear intent of committing teaching-substitute suicide by advocating a return to the age-old Christian tradition of America’s private–and public–schools celebrations of the holy holiday of Christmas in song.

The second order of business will be left to the ACLU and like anti-American organizations who will fight to your death to defend our Constitution’s alleged prohibition against an intermixing of church and state, what they claim is a strict prohibition against anything smacking of religion and especially of christianity.

I defy any of that ilk to find any language in our Constitution to that effect.

Nevertheless, the fight goes on and will go on in perpetuity until America returns to its Christian roots, those same roots that made us what we are, or were up until January 20 . . .

One of the many beauties of our great democratic republic is America’s tolerance for kookery. Another is America’s encouragement of reasoned dissent.

I rarely if ever find myself siding with those who support groups and individuals who advocate against other groups which blatantly campaign against the best interests of the United States but in this case I must make a very limited exception.

The Westboro Baptist Congregation, the WBC, so thrives on outlandish and hateful propaganda that it must be regarded as one of the worst organizations in the nation in terms of vicious radicalism.

Make no mistake, the WBC has countless hate-peers. Nevertheless, it’s a standout performer, in a class by itself, especially when it comes to attacks on homosexuals and Jews.
