WMAQ in Chicago Censors Life
Chicago, City of the Shady Shoulders, legendary for political corruption and its murder rate, can now be called Censorship City as well thanks to WMAQ-TV. In defiance of federal law, the NBC affiliate is refusing to air a pro-life Super Bowl ad sponsored by Randall Terry.
Randall Terry isn’t exactly a household name and has as much of a chance of being elected president as I do but he is very well-known in anti-abortion circles and raised sufficient funds to run the ad in 25 venues throughout the country on Super Bowl Sunday.
Despite the fact the 30-second spot was accepted and will air in Boston, Kansas City, Minneapolis, St. Louis, and in other locales, NBC’s WMAQ essentially told Terry they would break the law and refused to run it.
With reasonable cause for suspicion, Terry believes Chicago’s Democrat machine headed by Mayor Rahm Emanuel, President Barack Hussein Obama’s former Chief of Staff, is behind the WMAQ decision to repress the free and legal expression of his pro-life views.
Obama, the most avid supporter of abortion ever to sit in the White House, couldn’t very well allow his hometown to embarrass him with facts, now could he?
As a bonafide candidate for federal office, Terry is entitled under FCC regulations to sponsor the ad and stations licensed by the FCC are required to air it or said license will be subject to revocation.
Randall Terry is “legally qualified” under FCC regulations yet WMAQ is choosing to deny him his rights as an American citizen. For informational purposes, the station’s telephone number is 312.836.5555, Station Manager, Frank Whitacre, general Manager, Larry Wert. . .

When Does Tony Rezko Get Pardoned?
When Does Tony Rezko Get Pardoned?
Just in time for Thanksgiving so that deserving drug runners could be home with their families for the holiday and pick up where they left off selling cocaine and pot, President Barack Hussein Obama pardoned four of them and threw in a convicted gambler just for the jollies. It’s just too bad Antoine Rezko missed the cut.
Antoine Who?
It’s easy to forget Antoine, Tony, if you ever heard of him in the first place. His case received precious little publicity from Obama’s MSM because of close his close ties to the president. Indeed, in a lengthy Chicago Tribune article on the sentencing of the convicted extortionist, Obama’s name isn’t even mentioned.
Tony is in a disreputable class with Bill Ayers, Bernadine Dohrn, Rashid Khalidi, Floyd Mayweather, Michael Pfleger and a whole host of others, i.e., unmentionable by the mainstreamers who have been downplaying or ignoring the president’s unseemly and seamy relationships with reprobates for years in the hope that the electorate won’t notice.
And many still haven’t.
Speaking of years, the Syrian-born Rezko got 10 1/2 of them “for extorting millions of dollars from firms seeking state business or regulatory approval while he was a top fundraiser and adviser to then-Gov. Rod Blagojevich.”
Prior to that gig, he had been a good Obama buddy during his pre-White House years. Rezko, real estate developer-extortionist, was the pre-eminent Chicago Obama patron who set up the future president in his posh pad and went on to become Obama fundraising bundler extraordinaire after that smelly deal . . .

Chicago, Chicago, It's a Fouled-up Town!
Chicago, Chicago, It's a Fouled-up Town!
You may have been able “to lose the blues in Chicago” in Sinatra’s day but nowadays you’re just as likely to lose your life.
Our president hails from the Windy City–by way of New York, California, Hawaii, and some still say Kenya–as do many of his top advisers and Chicago is now ruled by the heavy hand of his former Chief of Staff, Rahm “Dead Fish” Emanuel. Coincidentally, neither Obama nor Emanuel is doing very well.
Known for its beef, mobsters, and dead people voting, the Chicago metropolitan area with almost 10 million residents and the city proper with almost 3 million were awarded the dubious title of “Murder Capital of America.” Its murder stats show Chicago triples the rate of New York City and they’re near the top in robberies and aggravated assaults.
As for rapes, no one knows since for some reason Chicago doesn’t keep track of those numbers. Too many to count, maybe, or maybe it’s not worth the bother.
All in all, Chicago isn’t just Sinatra’s “toddling town,” it’s a teetering town.
Interestingly, considering developments in the Big Apple’s Zuccotti Park and across the nation, a mere 10 years ago Barack Obama was busily supporting and addressing Chicago anti-war protests comparable in acrimony if not the unruliness of the Occupy Wall Streeters. Twenty years ago, he would have organized them, according to Stanley Kurtz.
Today, Chicagoland is witnessing a resurgence of similar civil protests which go far beyond the relatively peaceful Occupy Chicago demonstrations. Those protests stand in sharp contrast to their fellows in New York, Portland, and elsewhere where the crazies have taken over and anarchy prevails.
Chicago, on the other hand, is experiencing something almost worse, a breakdown of both civil and moral behavior, a total disregard for common decency, a foreboding of things to come resulting from Mayor Emanuel’s weak-kneed response to violence in his city and his former boss’ endorsement of un-civil OWSers.
Back in April, an elderly man was standing on the platform of the Chicago Avenue Red Line subway station. . .

Riotous Times in America
Riotous Times in America
When is a riot not a riot? When it’s “borderline,” of course. When does civil unrest have a racial component? Hardly ever since that component is rarely reported, of course.
It’s not even summer but things are rapidly heating up in more ways than one, a year before former Clinton adviser, James “The Snake” Carville, has predicted “imminently possible” civil unrest. Feel free to translate that dire prediction as riots in the streets.
Appearing on ”Imus in the Morning,” Carville predicated his remarks on the continuing high unemployment rate and the piddling job growth and despite President Barack Hussein Obama’s efforts to paint the dismal job figures as little more than a bump on the road to recovery. The president didn’t mention VP Joe Biden’s astute description last spring–that would be 2010–that America was set to experience “Recovery Summer.” So much for Biden and recovery.
Certain segments of society are way ahead of Carville insofar as “civil unrest” is concerned but don’t dare call them rioters.
In Bessemer, Alabama, police were forced to temporarily shutter the Alabama Adventure theme park after chaos broke out with numerous fights throughout the park.
One park patron ”described it as a ‘borderline riot.’ He witnessed at least eight different fights, including chair throwing in the water park, and at least three people taken out of the park on gurneys, . . . ’Every time we turned around, there was a fight.’ “
Craig Randolph, vice president and general manager for Alabama Adventure, saw it all differently saying, “We did have a few kids get out hand. We had some scuffles here and there,” and couldn’t speculate on whether anyone was injured or arrested. (http://bit.ly/jivjIu)
Presumably, the ambulances and gurneys were purely precautionary and certainly not indications of injuries sustained during a “borderline riot.”
Were Bessemer the only riot locale, James Carville could be correct, that civil unrest, a euphemism for widespread, uncontrolled violence, isn’t due until next year.
In fact, though not nearly on the scale of the 6-day Watts upheaval in 1965 or the deadly mayhem that followed the assassination of Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. and the Rodney King chaos or the numerous other incidents of unrest in America’s history, smaller scale riots have been occurring with disturbing frequency of late.
They’re all the more disturbing in view of official malfeasance by indifference and distortion and because most of the current violence is being committed by black teens two plus years into President Obama’s proclaimed “post-racial America.”
(Obama also said in Dreams from My Father, pp. 99-100, that he disapproved of what he called, “half-breeds” who gravitated toward whites but that may be a whole other story.)
For example, what are being termed “random attacks” by black Chicago street gangs are becoming less and less random. . . .

The Homosexual-Abortionist Symbiosis
The Homosexual-Abortionist Symbiosis
Symbiosis or symbiotic behavior is usually regarded as relationships confined to the animal, insect, and plant worlds such as is seen with suckerfish attached to sharks, plovers feeding on leeches embedded in crocodile gums, pea aphids draining the juices from a host plant.
However, symbiotic behavior also exists in the human species as, for example, in mother-infant interaction and other relationships in which two fundamentally dissimilar organisms or groups exist together to their mutual benefit although symbiosis most often benefits one more than the other. In psychiatry, two people dependent on and reinforced by one another, for better or worse, are said to be symbiotic.
I’m not qualified to speculate on the specific nature of the symbiosis that exists between the homosexual community and the Abortion Lobby but I can definitely say that both groups feed off one another. Which benefits most is difficult to say. I’d call it a dead heat.
Symbiosis, loosely defined as close and often long-term interactions between different biological species, seems to advantage both gays and abortionists in that both thrive by being linked by their abnormal behavior and, with strength in greater numbers, are therefore able to suffer the slings and arrows of societal disapprobation.
Admittedly, those slings and arrows are becoming more and more rare, which fact can be credited to their union, their promotion by the entertainment and mass media, and inroads being made into their route to eventual, universal acceptance as normal, through America’s youth and in our schools.
A recent, loud, demonstration on the streets of Chicago strongly reinforces the contention that gays and abortionists, though of different genders, transgenders, and appearances, are one and the same. Gays are dedicated to the natural sterility of the homosexual lifestyle, abortionists committed to unnaturally aborting pre-born life.
In a sense. it’s reasonable that gays and pro-abortionists form an alliance: Homosexuals can’t procreate, abortionists may or may not be able to procreate but advocate the killing of an already-created human being. Both groups . . .

Smarmy and Sleazy, Fish Head and Chicago
Smarmy and Sleazy, Fish Head and Chicago
“Smarmy” and “Sleazy” aren’t two long-lost cousins of Dopey and Grumpy but rather words redolent with connotation and caustically pungent with multiple levels of meaning which can be used to describe any number of public figures. Defined, “smarmy” means “hypocritically, complacently, or effusively earnest; unctuous,” while “sleazy” is defined as “shabby, dirty, and vulgar; tawdry.”
Public figures fitting those definitions would currently include former Rep. Chris Lee who bared half his all for all the world to see, canned MSNBC commentator Keith Olbermann who finally found his niche on Algore’s Current TV network which no one watches except Al Gore, and Italy’s PM Silvio Berlusconi who finds it difficult to keep his pants zipped around girls young enough to be his granddaughters.
In spite of the hefty competition, Former Obama Chief of Staff Rahm Israel Emanuel jumps to mind immediately when considering both smarmy and sleazy. This, however, is not an attempt to further elaborate on those Rahm qualities, which need no elaboration, but rather an attempt to clarify what happened recently when Emanuel flirted with honesty and decency, and failed . . .

Proofs that God Is Good
Proofs that God Is Good
Sometimes in the topsy-turvy world in which we live it becomes easy to believe in a Prime Mover, a Creator Who set the universe in motion and Who then sat back, detached from it all, and let us do our thing. That may be the case but recent political developments may suggest He had His hand in the mix.
(That’s a vast overstatement since He also gave us Obama but it’s nice to think, anyway.)
What happened to Rahm Emanuel in Chicago on Monday was even worse than what happened to Chicago on Sunday when the Packers beat the Bears 21-14. For the Bears, there’s always next year for another shot at the Super Bowl. For Rahm, he was left stewing in his fish heads and regretting he ever left the cozy confines of his Chief of Staff office in the White House.
On Monday, the Cook County Appellate Court by a vote of 2-1 threw Emanuel off the ballot for the upcoming Chicago mayoralty election for failure to meet residency requirements for the office. Later, adding an exclamation mark to that decision, the Chicago Board of Elections ordered two million Rahm-less ballots for Election Day.
Team Emanuel immediately announced an intent to appeal the Appellates to get their boy back in contention for that big chunk of Chicago pie that is the mayor’s office with all its perks and patronage and corruption: http://tiny.cc/tpe94
God’s hand or no, what made the Rahm-dump even sweeter was that it followed by less than 3 months Illinois voters turning over the old senate seat of their adopted son, Barack, to Republicans.
Also recently sweet was MSNBC’s finally counting out Keith Olbermann’s “Countdown.” . . .

Your Governments in Action
Your Governments in Action
Anyone who thinks that governments, whether federal, state, or local, have become albatrosses around the necks of the citizenry need only consider some recent news items which prove that governments aren’t albatrosses at all. We shouldn’t insult the poor endangered albatross which was given a bad name by S.T. Coleridge two centuries ago.
Governments are much more akin to venomous vipers, blood and money-sucking leeches, and all-devouring vultures. The chief trouble with governments is that in democracies the bureaucrats and functionaries tend to forget who put them where they are, in totalitarian regimes they begin as lowlives. Sometimes in America it’s a challenge to distinguish the forgetful from the low.
Take, for example, Darby Township, PA. where township fathers have hit on a revenue-producing scheme.
It’s bad enough that Darbyites have to live in proximity to Philadelphia and have to try to survive a brutal winter in our global warming world but now, when Darbyites do the township’s job of snow removal and disinter their vehicles from a ton of the white stuff, they can’t claim the space they cleared as their own–unless they want to be fined $300 for the privilege.
Long a tradition in Darby, . . .

Tidbits: Toilets, Whitey, and Whoopi
Tidbits: Toilets, Whitey, and Whoopi
Toilets: Decisions, Decisions, Decisions
Under 3-term Mayor Michael Boomboom/Bloomberg, New York City is fast evolving into the Nanny Capital of America. Smoking is banned virtually everywhere, sodium-salt is restricted in restaurants, and sugary foods are next on the hit list as Bloomberg continues his quest to care for every health need of New Yorkers, at the expense of depriving them of the right to decide when and where they will puff and what they can eat.
Big Mike is watching you!
Perhaps bowing to complaints that the city is becoming a mini-nanny state with arbitrary rules imposed by an supposedly omniscient, authoritarian government, New York is now getting into toilets, actually into all things watery.
Already all the rage in Europe, “dual flush” toilets are coming to a New York bathroom near you.
As part of a wide-ranging water conservation law passed by the City Council this past week, “new toilets will have to be high water efficient or ‘dual-flush,’ which allow users to choose between a high pressure flush for solid waste, and a low-pressure flush for liquid:” http://tiny.cc/ao674
See! Bloomberg can now say, we allow individual decision-making, even if that decision is rather simple except in certain cases when toilet users . . . Well, use your own personal experience and imagination.
No word yet on whether thousands of new city workers will have to be hired to monitor strict compliance with the liquid-solid rules.
Whitey or Whitney?
Speaking of toilets, America’s educational system may be immersed in one but . . .

Memorial Day 2010
Memorial Day 2010
Our president may not have enough of a sense of tradition to lay a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetery on Memorial Day but the rest of us commoners can still honor that day on Monday.
As we prepare to celebrate Memorial Day 2010, a day that has become synonymous with nothing more than the launching of summer, let’s try to remember what it’s all about.
Originally called Decoration Day, the holiday dates to 1868 and is intended to remind us all of those who gave their all in service to this great nation. It is especially meaningful, or should be, during wartime while our men and women are dying in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Nevertheless, vacation time in his adopted city of Chicago is more important to Barack Hussein Obama than bothering himself with . . .

Blago and Spitzo, Part One
Blago and Spitzo, Part One
Okay, agreed, they’re both dirty and sleazy but there are different degrees of dirt and sleaze, as any washerwoman and political reporter knows. I refer to Blago and Spitzo who are not 2 long lost Marx brothers or the 4th and 5th stooges.
I refer to the latest duo of disgraced Democrat governors: Milorad R. “Rod” Blagojevich of Illinois and Eliot Laurence Spitzer of New York. Blagojevich, affectionately known as Blago, and Spitzer, not affectionately known by anyone, are both back in the news again.
You may recall Blago, he of the Donald Trump hairdo but darker and fuller, and his bride, the former Patricia Mell, both captured on reams of audio tape using language that would embarrass Joe Biden. The specifics of those tapes were sufficient for U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald to pull a raid on the home of the Illinois governor and his family in December, 2008.
Accused of stealing all but the kitchen sink, Blago was subsequently removed from office by the Illinois legislature and has been anything but the obsequious criminal ever since. He’s appeared on various television shows, including Letterman, always preaching the same story, that he was framed, yada, yada, yada, and that the truth will out come his trial which is scheduled to begin on June 3rd. . .

Okay, agreed, they’re both dirty and sleazy but there are different degrees of dirt and sleaze, as any washerwoman and political reporter knows. I refer to Blago and Spitzo who are not 2 long lost Marx brothers or the 4th and 5th stooges.

Lifetime Achievement Award Goes to Reverend Michael Pfleger?
Lifetime Achievement Award Goes to Reverend Michael Pfleger?
As if the Catholic Church doesn’t have enough scandal on its hands, in Chicago it seems to go begging for even more.
The Church’s “lifetime achievement award” has been conferred on a known radical racist, good pal of Prof. Cornel West and of the Revs. Jeremiah Wright, Louis Farrakhan, and Al Sharpton, Chicago’s defiant priest and self-loathing white man, Father Michael Pfleger.
Aptly-termed “Obama’s white cheerleader” by Michelle Malkin, Pfleger defied Chicago’s previous Catholic bishop, Joseph Cardinal Cody by adopting and living with two local boys, and current leader Francis Cardinal George has now rewarded him with a prestigious honor despite his chequered past, and present. . .

Barack, Outed and Scorned?
Barack, Outed and Scorned?
Pay careful attention to the expressions on the faces of Rahm Emanuel and the Anointed One lately.
They both look more than a tad scared.
Not only is former Chicago ally, disgraced Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich, affectionately known as Blago, ready, willing, and able to expose the president and his thuggees but now Obama’s prime idolators, his buddies in the extreme liberal fringe are turning on him like rabid pitbulls.
Moveon.org may have sounded the clarion with its call to its adherents to scuttle Obamacare to which the SEIU obediently complied but Blago was way ahead of them.
A week ago, Governor Blago’s lawyers demanded in federal court to make public “notes, transcripts and reports” of interviews with the Obamas, Emanuel, Valerie Jarrett and SEIU chiefs Thomas Balanoff and Andy Stern.
Blago’s defenders also sought FBI information on First Lady Michelle Obama, America’s Evita, but were advised she had not been interviewed by the Bureau.
Too bad.
Precisely what dirt could be gleaned from the feds’ interviews would be conjectural at this point but given the nature of Chicago and Illinois politics, it should be interesting at the least, emancipating for Blago at the best.
I still expect hapless Rod to be offed before he or his lawyers . . .

Taboo! The Truth About Black Crime Part One
Taboo! The Truth About Black Crime: Part I
With news that 4 youths have been arrested in the brutal murder of a student at Fenger High in Chicago which follows by a week an attack on student aboard a school bus in Missouri, the issue of crime in America has once again been moved to the top of the page.
The horrendous Chicago act involved a Black boy, Derrion Albert, an innocent bystander to a wild ruckus, who was set upon by fellow Blacks for no apparent reason and beaten, kicked, and pummeled to death.
Derrion happened to be in a very wrong place at an extremely wrong time and died because of it.
That story and video, not intended for the faint of heart, can be seen here: http://bit.ly/Z5SJK.
The earlier St. Louis incident involved a White boy in search of a seat on the bus who was furiously beaten by a Black boy for that impertinence. Fortunately, with no thanks to the school bus driver, the unidentified White boy wasn’t murdered and his assailants were later arrested.
That incident was first cited as a hate crime but after police authorities reviewed the tape, and consulted with their superiors, that charge was dropped in favor of simple assault and a charge of bullying.
I really doubt that assault would be described as mere bullying by the assaulted, especially during his vicious pummeling, but on reconsideration of his survival probabilities had he pushed for hate crime charges, he didn’t push.
That story and video can be viewed here: http://bit.ly/1mPFSo.
The chief parallels between those 2 stories are senseless violence and that subject which has been relegated to non-PC status, Black crime in America.
Not too many years ago, the FBI’s Uniform Crime Reports Program, UCR, broke down crime stats according to race. That ended even before the logical, reasonable practice of racial profiling was technically banned because pressure groups protested against the stats and profiling.
And a law enforcement deterrent logic was flushed.
Bill Cosby is one Black who has spoken out against the rampant violence in Black communities thoughout America. . . .

Obama's ACORN, the Early Years
Obama’s ACORN: The Early Days
Mighty oaks naturally grow from tiny acorns and mighty empires can grow from little acorns as well. Those oaks may be mighty and those little acorns can foretell the disintegration of the empires they supplant.
The empire in immediate question is the Obamian Empire which was largely founded on the group known as ACORN, the Association for Community Organizations for Reform Now. ACORN’s pretentious name is actually a euphemism for an organization dedicated to destroying the American way of life as we have long known it.
Hyperbole? Read on.
Its website grandiosly declares its reputed aims: “The Real ACORN [as opposed to the false ACORN?] is a showcase for ACORN’s consistent presence as a voice for working families since 1970. It is a hub for ACORN members, leaders, and the general public to learn more about the dynamic work the organization is undertaking to win victories on issues like living wage jobs, affordable housing, health care, education, and confronting the global financial crisis.”
Grand, indeed. Showcase, indeed. Dynamic, indeed. Those adjectives only apply if one considers sedition, lies, fraud, and other criminal activities to be grand, dynamic, showcases.
Whoever wrote that ACORN blurb had either a great sense of humor or possessed a diabolic ability to malign and distort the truth.
It’s how ACORN has gone about achieving those aims that has repeatedly gotten the group into the hot waters of election fraud and voter misrepresentations, and into various criminal and civil courts in some 13 states.
In brief, ACORN stops at nothing to effect the changes in America that candidate Obama preached in very general, vague terminology. ACORN was and is Obama’s primary instrument of specificity, a specificity that reveals more about our president than he has ever revealed about himself.
Obama has had a virtual love affair with ACORN literally for decades. His reward for his romantic efforts in that affair was the presidency of the United States. Miss ACORN’s reward has been awards of Spitzer-like payments of hundreds of millions of dollars in taxpayer funding over the course of the liaison.
The only ones really screwed in the Obama-ACORN relationship have been those self-same taxpayers unless, that is, they were direct financial beneficiaries of the liaison in a sick sort of menage a trois with Obama and Miss ACORN.
Beneficiaries of ACORN, i.e. of taxpayer monies, include this sampling: AARP, to finance more abortion efforts; the National Urban League, to agitate for Obamacare; La Raza, to aid Mexicans in re-claiming American lands; Chicago’s Project Vote, organized by Obama to sway elections; and ACORN’s own mortgage company, to allow it to work to bring down the banking industry by pressuring banks to lend to unqualified, sub-prime mortgagors: http://bit.ly/xcktQ
After graduating from Columbia, Obama fished around for a venue in which he would be accepted and which would afford him the opportunity to properly exercise and execute his father’s Marxist precepts he had learned from his mother and which had been certified by his Columbia professors.
Voila! In 1984, he settled where else but in Chicago where corrupt politicians were notorious and where dead and non-existent people had miraculously been known to vote. . .

You Go, Blago!
You Go, Blago!
I’ve gotten to like semi-deposed Illinois Governor, Rod Blagojevich.
No, I’m not mentally deranged, I don’t think. Nor am I of Serbian extraction as the mop-haired ex-gov is. Nor do I suggest he’s innocent of any charges against him, although he’s not been charged with any; after all, the guy is from Illinois, home state of the most corrupt town in the country, if not on the planet, so he has to be guilty of everything.
And, yes, I’m up to here with 24/7 Blago news as much as I am with Madoff news and Britney news. But, I’ve come to like Rod’s overall style, if not his hairstyle–and how this Chicago-born Democrat has been sticking it to his fellow Dems far and wide.
I furthermore believe that he’s not a “cuckoo,” as Mayor Daley II has called him twice, the same mayor who supported him twice for the governorship and with whom he palled around and with whom he sat on numberless daises, etc. I think also that Rod has a couple tricks still up his well-tailored sleeve as well as a plan to keep himself out of the hoosegow. He may have risen from humble roots, but he seems to have a grand exit plan.
True, he’s brash, obnoxious, foul-mouthed, sleazy, greedy, and glib, all of which are standard attributes for Illinois political success. He also seems supremely confident for some reason and for that reason, the Powers-that-be in Illinois and Chicago are determined to bring him down. I think those Powers are mightily afraid of what Blago knows and aware that he has no compunctions about spilling all he knows.
Let’s look at the record, as the venerable former New York Governor Al Smith used to say, not Blagojevich’s record in Springfield but the record since December 9th when what he has termed his personal Pearl Harbor began.
The poor guy was rousted from the warm bed he shares with the equally-greedy and equally-foul-mouthed Mrs. Patricia B. on that cold December morning in 2008, barely a month after Barack Obama’s election as president. With his two young kids, hopefully, still sleeping at 6:15 a.m, ...

THE JACKSON DUO AND PRESIDENT BIDEN
THE JACKSON DUO AND PRESIDENT BIDEN
I guess I shouldn’t talk since I live in a liberal cesspool, Nueva York, but I’ve at least been blessed not to live in Illinois or, God forbid, in the murder capital of the nation, Chicago.
I admit that until recently I knew next to jacksquat about the son of the “Reverend” Jesse Jackson. Mostly I knew he was the son of Jesse Jackson Senior and shares his daddy’s name, which is reason enough to doubt his honesty and integrity.
Whether he truly shares his daddy’s character, Jesse Senior’s penchant for sexual shenanigans, his shakedown skills, his proven hypocrisy, and his facile prevarications, has yet to be determined but nuts usually don’t fall far from the tree.
The elder Jesse is known for many things. Witness to MLK’s assassination, he cashed on that quirk of history by launching a life as agitator and extortionist to help fund his RainbowPUSH (People United to Save/Serve Humanity) Coalition and he has been very successful at it.
He made abortive runs for the Democratic nomination for president in 1984 and 1988, garnering “impressive . . . surprising” totals of 450 and 1000 delegates, respectively. However, whether those numbers were truly impressive and surprising is debatable given the racial makeup of the Democrats delegate base.
After frequent denials, he finally fessed up in 1998 to conceiving a “love child” with staffer Karin Stanford in 1996 while serving as Bill Clinton’s “spiritual advisor” in the wake of the Monica Lewinsky scandal. RainbowPUSH paid her off: (http://query.nytimes.com/gst/fullpage.html?res=9800E1DF153CF933A15752C0A9679C8B63)
The irony of Jesse Jackson Senior serving as a spiritual advisor to anyone is beyond precious.
Undeterred, he went into temporary seclusion and returned to his “ministry” some time later. No word on whether his wife of 46 years, Jacqueline, shared his retreat.
He most recently was seen weeping at Barack Hussein Obama’s post-election festivities in Grant Park, Chicago, tears shed either for his earlier failures to win the presidency, for Obama’s “transformational” election, or for both.
Prior to that, his reference to nuts made in front of an open mic during the campaign justly earned him more notoriety. His wish to castrate the presidential nominee, articulated in gutter language, (cutting Barack’s nuts off), which was very irreverent for a “reverend,” resulted in no Secret Service investigation: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g57ORgDUgYs.
Apparently, the Secret Service cut Jesse Senior some slack since Jesse was just ...
