The Obamas' Race Fixation
The release–after a quarter century–of Andrew Breitbart’s video of Barack Hussein Obama during his Harvard Law School years may or may not have been a blockbuster but it does reveal the future president’s fixation on race. Likewise, another video seems to confirm that the future FLOTUS, Michelle Robinson LaVaughn Obama, was also a racial agitator at Harvard Law.
It’s understandable that one of Obama’s closest mentors in the last campaign only now has admitted “We hid this [tape] throughout the 2008 campaign. I don’t care if they find it now."
Four years later, Harvard Law professor Charles Ogletree is confident enough that the first (semi-) African-American has sufficiently bamboozled the American people into thinking he is a president of all the people and wants a color-blind society rather than a racially-divided country.
With the black vote, the mainstream media, the 20% of liberals in America, and Hollywood in Obama’s pocket, Prof. Ogletree believes the 2012 election is a shoo-in for the president and he doesn’t give a damn anymore who knows Barack was a racial agitator at Harvard.
With MSM complicity, Obama has successfully managed to fend off the truth concerning the extent of his relationships with the radical Rev. Jeremiah Wright, the revolutionists Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn, his friendship with black Muslim racist Louis Farrakhan and other unseemly buddies so why fret over his demonstrations in favor of race-based hiring at Harvard?
Why get all exercised over a video depicting Obama embracing one of his role models, Prof. Derrick Bell, who notably said, “I live to harrass white people,” endorsed a controversial magazine whose official motto is “treason to whiteness is loyalty to humanity,” and who preached divisive, black racist theories of endemic oppression by whites.
As student Obama said at the time, we should “open up our hearts and minds to the words of Professor Derrick Bell.”
We might just as well close up our hearts and minds to President Obama’s comparable preachings of racial harmony cloaked in conciliatory words and concealing his decades-old antipathy for white people to which he confessed in Dreams of My Father: “I ceased to advertise my mother’s [white] race when I began to suspect I was ingratiating myself to whites.”
And he couldn’t allow that!
Nor could he tolerate or trust white people or, as he wrote in Dreams of a fellow Chicago community organizer: “There was something about him that made me wary, a little too sure of himself, maybe. And he was white.”

President Barack Hussein Obama and his lovely bride jointly decided that daddy’s career would never supersede their desire for their childrens’ anonymity.
Some years ago, the POTUS admirably declared that Sasha and Malia Obama would and should be off limits, never to be used for political purposes, never utilized to buttress his popularity or win votes.
Apparently toward that end, Obama enrolled the girls at the “Harvard of Washington,” the uber exclusive Sidwell Friends School not to shield them from the horrors of D.C. educational system, mind you, but in order that they not be seen as political pawns attending the mostly African-American horrors to win favor in black communities.
Jimmy Carter took that risk with young Amy Carter and we all know what happened to him!
Likewise, Obama published his childrens’ book Of Thee I Sing, A Letter to My Daughters in 2010 solely as a patriotic tribute to heroes in American history since he loves his country and his kids so much. Featuring an illustration of Malia and Sasha prancing along the grass on the cover with First Dog, Bo, should not be interpreted as exploiting the First Daughters but rather as, well, simply a book cover.
Now, however, it’s a presidential election year.
2012 is easily the most significant election in our lifetimes and the Obamas are pulling out all stops, throwing all caution to the winds, and revoking all public resolves like protecting Malia and Sasha from the limelight and political exploitation by planning to pimp them out in the interests of their father winning four more years to destroy the country.
Barack Hussein Obama’s bitter half, Michelle LaVaughn Robinson Obama, has suggested the First Daughters will play a major role in the upcoming campaign, contentions of exploitation be damned.
The FLOTUS made clear that 10 year old Sasha and 13 year old Malia, understandably agitated by pop’s election uncertainties and how his possible defeat would affect them, will . . .

Over the years, Michelle LaVaughn Robinson Obama has often been gracious enough to express her heartfelt opinions.
From her racially-charged senior thesis at Princeton University in which she conceded feeling uncomfortable being black in a white society to her admission of never having felt any pride in her country, our First Lady has always been forthcoming and has exemplified an incisive awareness of her beloved United States of America.
Uninformed, mean-spirited critics of Mrs. Obama can launch vicious attacks on her all they want but they only display their total lack of couth and incredible ignorance when they call her names and disparage her many accomplishments, fashion sense, personal attributes, and keen knowledge.
After all, didn’t she–on national television, no less–just persuade Jay Leno to munch his first apple in 28 years!
And, was Mamie Eisenhower ever denigrated as a mooch? Was Jackie Kennedy ever described as class-less? Was Lady Bird Johnson ever castigated for wearing a purple dress to a state dinner? Was Laura Bush ever criticized for using Air Force One as her valet service? Were any other First Ladies in the last century derided merely for wanting to be involved in affairs of state?
Okay, Democrats Edith Wilson, Eleanor Roosevelt, Rosalynn Carter, and Hillary Clinton were but they were Democrat exceptions. However, attacks on Michelle are clear evidence of that racism she alluded to at Princeton.
And, the uncouth, racist meanness persists.
Dastardly accusations that Michelle Obama is a spendthrift on taxpayer money simply because she likes to vacation, claims that she is a hypocrite for advocating for better nutrition and against childhood obesity while she scarfs down grossly-fattening foods, and allegations she lies and doesn’t know what she’s talking about are absolutely unacceptable!

Writer Jodi Kantor had better watch her back. Her simply-titled book, The Obamas, set to be released January 10th, is simply a blockbuster which could bust the White House.
Described in part on Amazon as, ”Filled with riveting detail and insight into their [the Obama] partnership, emotions and personalities, and written with a keen eye for the ironies of public life, THE OBAMAS is an intimate portrait that will surprise even readers who thought they knew the President and First Lady,” the book does far more than that.
The tell-all book based on interviews with 30 administration aides exposes the First Couple as frauds and dissemblers, liars and back-biters.
Pre-release details of The Obamas have been leaking out in little dribs and major drabs and one of the latter is that during the depths of the Great Recession in 2009, Obama and Company threw a Halloween party at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue that would have rivaled anything Hollywood or Broadway could have ever conceived.
In fact, Hollywood may have conceived it. At least Tinseltown was well- represented at the Alice in Wonderland-themed event, with megastar Johnny Depp, director Tim Burton, and Star Wars’ Chewbacca along with White House staffers, military families, and D.C. kids in attendance as well as the mainstream media.
Sounds like an extravaganza, right?
Well, it seems to have been–with the state dining room decorated by Burton in full Halloween regalia, Depp decked out as the Mad Hatter, Michelle Obama as a black and yellow cat, fruit punch served in blood vials, huge stuffed animals, etc.

It’s hard to tell whether the SADHILL picture of the FLOTUS on IOwntheWorld.com looking as if she had a load in her pants has been photo-shopped or if Michelle Obama was getting ready to limbo.
Whatever the circumstances, the shot is emblematic of the controversy that has surrounded her for years. She has certainly not been controversial on the MSM which absolutely adores her and everything she does, says, and wears but more objective observers who know what our FLOTUS has done, said, and believes are aware she’s a trip.
I know, I know. It’s gauche to negatively comment on the wife of the president of the United States. Then again, America has never had a presidential wife like Michelle LaVaughn Robinson Obama–thank God!–and, unlike most of her predecessors, she invites criticism.
Not a very discreet–or stylish–woman, Mrs. Obama recently tipped her haughty hand when she conceded she rather likes being called “Your Excellency.”
Michelle appeared in a cameo role on the Nickleodeon sitcom, “iCarly” and a character refers to her as “Your Excellency.” Another character corrects him since it’s inappropriate to refer to First Ladies in such a manner. Cameo Michelle in turn corrects her by saying, “No, no, I kind of like it.”
And that she would.
“Your Excellency” melds very well in the imperial administration of her husband who recently announced his intent to rule by executive decree and bypass congressional authority. As his consort, Lady Michelle is clearly entitled to that description even if both she and Emperor Barack are oblivious of the fact the United States is a constitutional republic.
This isn’t the first time Lady O has displayed her ignorance of what the U.S. is all about. She has also caused deep suspicions as to her character, personality, and patriotism.
Her unguarded remark four years ago received little attention from the mainstream media but that didn’t mitigate how revealing it was.
Scant notice or not, along with her husband’s subconscious revelations of what he had planned for America, Michelle Obama’s 2008 confession told Americans enough to disqualify them from setting up residence in the White House.
Subsequent to Michelle’s gaffe, Barack conceded his socialistic philosophy of governance when he told “Joe the Plumber” he wanted to “share the wealth.” She, however, had outdone him in self-revelation by saying, “For the first time in my adult life, I am really proud of my country because it feels like hope is finally making a comeback.”
That admission of hopelessly living in America for 44 years devoid of any pride in America came just before the Wisconsin primary in February, 2008. It was almost inexplicable considering her background.

The latest talk in Washington mostly concerns sizes–the size of tax cuts and Michelle’s posterior even after the president’s bitter half made a startling admission to Barbara Walters on “20/20.”
The FLOTUS hasn’t publicly responded to Rep. Jim Sensenbrenner’s ungentlemanly observation that she is a hypocrite for preaching the evils of obesity while sporting significant rear baggage. Admitting her self-absorption is a bigger story, anyway.
In a “20-20″ interview, Barbara Walters suggested Michelle Obama’s statement that she is her own highest priority sounded just a tad selfish. Unfazed, Lady O denied the selfishness while conceding busy women tend to “slip pretty low on our own priority list because we’re so busy caring for everyone else.”
The FLOTUS just thinks it’s “practical” to place herself on top because, well, because, like Stuart Smalley, she thinks she deserves it.
Nothing selfish there. Mrs. Obama is currently busy on vacation in Hawaii working on her top priority.
On the other hand, her hubby has never lost sight of his number one priority: Barack Hussein Obama.
It’s a given that anyone who feels in his or her heart of hearts that he or she is qualified to be president of the United States, leader of the free world, and representative of the interests of the last superpower left on Earth must have an ego the size of Alaska.
Or, a priority list with him or her at the pinnacle.
It’s another given that anyone with little to no experience or credentials who presumes to seek the nomination of a major political party to the office of the American presidency must either be addled or egomaniacal beyond comprehensibility.
Since Barack Hussein Obama often appears to be exceptionally muddled and since he won the presidency principally due to his race and white guilt, he has to be judged the greatest deluded egomaniac ever to sit in the Oval Office. The greatest, overt egomaniac ever to hold the un-elected position as America’s First Lady resides upstairs–when she’s not vacationing on the taxpayers’ dimes.
President Obama has all-too-frequently demonstrated both ineptitude and delusionary perceptions of common realities by his inability to think and function absent scripted teleprompterings. Add to those serious flaws a transparent obliviousness to the ramifications of his domestic and international policies and it becomes obvious he needs a huge ego to counterbalance them.
And he has it.
Twice recently, Obama reinforced the view that he would have been better off continuing his career as a Chicago community organizer and America would be far better off not saddled with his misplaced egotism. . .

NYT Outs Obama's Class-Race Warfare
Sometimes the mainstream media merely substantiate common knowledge and sometimes the New York Times demonstrates a degree of journalistic ethics by publishing that common knowledge instead of always slanting the truth.
Such is the case with Thomas B. Edsall’s piece, “The Future of the Obama Coalition” which appeared in the Times‘ Sunday “Opinion Pages.”
Summarized, that future involves Obama abandoning hopes of again winning anything approaching the 43% of all white votes he won in 2008 “in favor of cementing a center-left coalition.”
According to Edsall, that coalition consists of people generally considered professionals, including everyone from professors to teachers to therapists plus “a substantial constituency of lower-income voters who are disproportionately African-American and Hispanic,” in other words, a coalition composed of two very disparate groups, the highly-educated and the largely uneducated poor.
What Edsall does not incorporate in his article is a recognition that all but Obama’s MSM idolators and those they influenced to vote for him were aware long before the last general election that Barack Hussein Obama was a radical, socialist racist for whom divisiveness and class warfare were tactics he and the Democrat Party would employ when the 2008 coalitions disintegrated.
Oddly, or not so oddly considering Edsall was writing for the Times, he omits any reference to the president’s support for the latest exemplars of socialistic class warmongers, the Occupy Wall Street nutzos.
Three years ago, candidate Obama succeeded in cashing in on white guilt, the oft-denied sentiment which motivated millions of white voters to cast their ballots for him as a form of reparations paid to African-Americans, to demonstrate they were not bigots, to show they were sorry for the national sin of slavery even though none of them had ever owned a slave.
By virtue of that sentiment, the half-black Obama managed to gain 2% more of the white electorate than did John Kerry in 2004. Those voters have witnessed Obama in action for three years now and the president’s handlers realize many of them, hopefully millions of them, refuse to fall for Obama’s charade again.
They have seen his incompetence, his lack of leadership, his rigid, leftist ideology but most of all they have seen through his pretenses of creating a new era of racial harmony. Beneath Obama’s mellifluous, telepromptered words, they have finally seen the black racism that both he and his wife proudly admitted years ago.

According to Edsall, that coalition consists of people generally considered professionals, including everyone from professors to teachers to therapists plus “a substantial constituency of lower-income voters who are disproportionately African-American and Hispanic,” in other words, a coalition composed of two very disparate groups, the highly-educated and the largely uneducated poor.
What Edsall does not incorporate in his article is a recognition that all but Obama’s MSM idolators and those they influenced to vote for him were aware long before the last general election that Barack Hussein Obama was a radical, socialist racist for whom divisiveness and class warfare were tactics he and the Democrat Party would employ when the 2008 coalitions disintegrated.
Oddly, or not so oddly considering Edsall was writing for the Times, he omits any reference to the president’s support for the latest exemplars of socialistic class warmongers, the Occupy Wall Street nutzos.
Three years ago, candidate Obama succeeded in cashing in on white guilt, the oft-denied sentiment which motivated millions of white voters to cast their ballots for him as a form of reparations paid to African-Americans, to demonstrate they were not bigots, to show they were sorry for the national sin of slavery even though none of them had ever owned a slave.
By virtue of that sentiment, the half-black Obama managed to gain 2% more of the white electorate than did John Kerry in 2004. Those voters have witnessed Obama in action for three years now and the president’s handlers realize many of them, hopefully millions of them, refuse to fall for Obama’s charade again.
They have seen his incompetence, his lack of leadership, his rigid, leftist ideology but most of all they have seen through his pretenses of creating a new era of racial harmony. Beneath Obama’s mellifluous, telepromptered words, they have finally seen the black racism that both he and his wife proudly admitted years ago.

Sorry to disillusion anyone but things aren’t always what they seem to be and are rarely what some people wish to be. That sad note of enlightenment applies especially to Michelle LaVaughn Robinson Obama.
All those fat kids out there whom the FLOTUS has been weaning off burgers and fries and turning on to kale wraps and grilled hummus will be disillusioned. All those kids who knocked on the door at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue on Halloween and were given raisins and dried fruit by President Barack Hussein Obama’s wife will be disheartened.
Nevertheless, truth must be told: Michelle Obama isn’t a very nice person and I know, I know, it’s ungentlemanly and rude to say such a thing.
Likewise, it’s unladylike to trash the nation that accorded you the opportunity to feel special by saying, a mere three years ago, “For the first time in my adult lifetime, I’m really proud of my country” and telling Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, the bride of the president of the French Republic, a few months later what she thought of her First Lady job: “Don’t ask! It’s hell. I can’t stand it!”
Harry S Truman once said, “If you can’t stand the heat, get out of the kitchen!” I would say, if you’re a malcontent, go back to Chicago!
I somehow doubt Mrs. Obama visits the White House kitchen very often except maybe to tell the chefs to be sure to check calorie counts on meals they prepare for the president–even as she gobbled up (1500 calorie, 141 grams of fat) braised short ribs while on one of her many vacations at Vail Village, Colorado and downed 1565 calories (cheeseburger, fries, chocolate shake,) on her July visit to D.C.’s Shake Shack.
LiveStrong.com described the ribs meal as “decadent.” They don’t know the half of Michellian decadence, and hypocrisy.
When any woman, any man, repetitively and publicly demonstrates a distaste for his or her country and her position, brazenly milks that unelected post for all it’s worth, and preaches one thing while practicing another, her class, her integrity, and her ”ladyhood” as well as her patrioism are called into question.
Michelle LaVaughn Robinson began life in modest surroundings as the daughter of a civil servant and a secretary. She rode that modesty to Princeton where she truly blossomed–into the closet radical she is today, a fact she hides admirably well.
However, try as she did, she couldn’t hide her senior thesis and her racially-charged praise for the Black Panthers, her endorsement of “the need for Blacks to separate themselves from White society in order to strengthen the Black community,” and assailed the “white cultural and social structure that will only allow me to remain on the periphery of society.”

People Say the Darndest Things, Part Two
. . . For example, with Steve Jobs’ body barely cold, Gawker.com punctured numerous holes in the popular conception of the legacy and the persona of the man whose genius has been compared with DaVinci, Edison, and Einstein.
In brief, Gawker delved into “the dark side of Steve Jobs and the company he founded.”
While praising his innovation and achievement in “What Everyone Is too Polite to Say about Steve Jobs,” Gawker rips virtually everything else about him and Apple Inc.
Gawker contends that the innovative achiever was a tyranical, mean-spirited employer who publicly humiliated underlings, that Apple unfairly repressed information and competition, was guilty of knowingly violating child labor laws and human rights by establishing ”sweat shops” in China, that Jobs’ personal life was something of a mess, and he and his company were stingy with their billions.
Those are some darned harsh things to say, even if they are true.
Americans are accustomed to politicians uttering the darndest things–cynics would call them lies–especially during an election campaign and the current re-election campaign which began the day Barack Hussein Obama was elected president is no exception.
Still, some utterances by the POTUS–the president–and the FLOTUS–his wife stagger the imagination as much for the repetitive nature of their truth-stretching as for the pair’s blithe disregard for honesty.
Call them falsehoods, fabrications, misstatements, or the less-politic lies, our president has accumulated legions of them, few if any of which have been reported by his mainstream media.
Obama’s most recent mendacity was obviously intended tug at the heartstrings of a major constituency, public school teachers, at the same time he was trying to pull at congressional purse strings to get more billions to waste on his “jobs bill.”
At a pseudo-White House press conference on Friday, pseudo since it was really just another campaign stop, Obama cited a well-credentialed but jobless teacher Robert Baroz whom the president said he had met. As pointed out by BostonHerald.com, the president fudged the whole thing. He never met Baroz and Baroz isn’t unemployed at all, unless Boston’s K-8 Curley School in Jamaica Plain is paying him in error.
Ever true to his union and to Obama, Baroz dismissed the fudging as a mere oversight and still fully supports the president. True to their dedication to his re-election, not a soul in the MSM called Obama on his misrepresentations at the presser and once again skated away from his lies.
No stranger to prevarications, First Lady Michelle LaVaughn Robinson Obama also pulled a swifty last week at a Rhode Island fundraiser raising funds for, what else, her hubby’s re-election, . . .

Dang! I Missed Obama's Birthday Bash!
Dang! I Missed Obama's Birthday Bash!
I’m annoyed with myself beyond words!
Not only did I miss the event of the week, if not the month, but I had received a personal, not engraved and emailed but still special, invite from Mrs. Barack Hussein Obama–Michelle Robinson LaVaughn Obama–to say a few words on a 50th birthday card congratulations to her hubby.
And I forgot!
I wasn’t invited to the party itself but from all reports it was the shindig of the summer season, a bacchanal rivaling Emperor Nero without the sex part of a true bacchanalia but befitting the honored Obama and the distinguished guests. Everyone who is anyone in Hollywood and the worlds of hip hop, music, television and politics was there and they were even dancing barefoot in the Rose Garden!
No one reported seeing any common folk there nor observing America’s new emperor fiddling although the fires from America burning could be seen from a distance. However, back to my invite.
Adding to the seductive qualities of the invitation, Michelle assured respondents that their comments would be delivered to the president–and who could resist that attraction, aside from those who would send him carefully chosen observations that would result in a visit from the Secret Service?
As Mrs. O. so graciously expressed it on her invitation, she and “the girls,” presumably those same girls, Sasha and Malia Obama, whom Barry had repeatedly pledged never to exploit for political purposes, wanted me and, okay, a few others, ”to wish him a happy birthday by signing his card, and sharing why you’re on this journey with us.”
The only “journey” I know Barry and his clan are leading us on is to Hell so I was surprised at Michelle’s offer to allow me to send him my greetings.
The FLOTUS also made specific mention of her hub’s stresses and aging under the pressure of taking the nation down the road to perdition, although she didn’t phrase it exactly that way. What she did say was that the aging process was “more proof that he’s earning every last one of those gray hairs.”
Working 25 hours a day, 8 days a week can do that to a guy and it’s hard to see how Obama does it, in between his golf outings and vacations, but she wouldn’t lie even if she made no reference to the age-enhancing properties of unbleached flour. . .

If for nothing else, credit should be given to the First Lady of the United States, our FLOTUS, and the president of the United States, our POTUS, for their ability to make jokes, real knee-slappers sometimes, and often without cracking a smile. The former Michelle LaVaughan Robinson is especially adept at amusing an audience although Barack Hussein Obama isn’t far behind.
Far and away funny has been Mrs. Obama’s bizarre sense of style, sort of a cross between Chicago-ghetto and nouveau Lady Gaga but her delivery of straight lines is remarkably riotous. The one during the campaign about never before feeling pride in her country was a real corker! It had to be a joke, right?
The FLOTUS more than ably demonstrated her ability to risibly entertain without betraying the slightest degree of irony at a Southern Cal fundraiser when she feigned concern for her overworked hubby’s work ethic. She described him as “tireless . . . [and] better prepared than the people briefing him,” which would seem to render any briefings superfluous, and then dropped her bombshell yuk when she said, “This man doesn’t take a day off.” (http://politi.co/jCSlnx)
Presuming “this man” referred to the POTUS, Mrs. O. should have had them rolling in the aisles at the thousand dollar a ticket Southern California Women for Obama event although, reportedly, no one laughed. Michelle’s humor is very subtle and the obtuse women may have missed her joke about a president who has vacationed more and golfed more in 27 months than any chief executive in American history.
Of course, we know that those were all working vacations to Chicago, Martha’s Vineyard, Hawaii, America’s West and Southwest, Florida, etc. as were our globetrotting prez and the family’s $200 million passage to India, trips to China, Japan, England, Germany, Saudi Arabia, Latin America, et al. And who’s to say he didn’t discuss affairs of state on his 70+ golf outings?
“This man doesn’t take a day off.” Good one, Michelle!

The company we keep and the company which keeps us tend to define the kept. That point of popular wisdom may not always be true in real life but in political lives it is a constnt and invariably as valid as political treachery.
As they should, most political wives studiously maintain a low profile. Usually.
First ladies, especially, tend to busy themselves with innocuous causes and projects ranging from Jackie Kennedy’s White House beautification after the dowdy Mamie Eisenhower ruled that roost to former librarian Laura Bush’s campaign for education and literacy to Michelle Obama’s quest to eradicate fat kids from the American landscape.
Michelle, however, despite her childhood obesity fixation and her White House vegetable garden. planned, no doubt, to inspire America’s youth to forego Clintonian Big Macs and to discover the joy of veggies, is a FLOTUS literally and figuratively of a whole different color.
No stranger to controversy before and during her White House tenure, the president’s bride continues to outdo herself. From her “racially-conscious” Princeton undergrad thesis to her stated lack of national pride before Barack ascended to the presidency to her extravagant vacations on the taxpayer dime and borderline bizarre tastes in first lady garb during her personal reign, Mrs. Obama has been a real trip.
Any more than Barack’s gaffes. inanities, and “misquotes” get much MSM play, few of Michelle’s questionably-proper activities and statements get much attention from her husband’s mainstream media, which doesn’t mitigate Michelle’s improprieties any more than they do her husband’s. Both seem to abide by the conviction that they do and say what they do and say because they can.
For example, how many Americans have heard of Mrs. Obama’s electioneering outside a Chicago polling place in 2008? How many have read about such breaches of protocol as her touching Indonesian Information Minister Tifatul Sembiring last year, something which simply is not done with Indonesian men? President George W. Bush was ridiculed for winking at Queen Elizabeth II but Michelle Obama actually slapping a big hug on the Queen of England was attributed to her natural inclination of just being folksy.
Still, those are small potatoes in the greater scheme of political things . . .

“You are what you eat” is one of those maxims we like to think sprang from the minds of modernists whereas, like most truths, it is virtually eternal dating back thousands of years to the era when Ayurveda, “the complete knowledge for long life,” was first conceived in India.
That trivia tidbit directly relates to America’s First Lady, Michelle Obama, an anti-obesity proponent currently working off excess calories on the ski trails of Vail–and setting a poor example for America’s present and future fatties. No piker when it comes to indulging at taxpayer expense, Michelle has been preaching healthy eating as her first lady legacy but doesn’t always, if ever, practice what she preaches.
Evidently no slouch either when it comes to food, Rush Limbaugh has criticized Mrs. Obama for an après-ski trip to the exclusive Restaurant Kelly Liken in Vail Village where she and her girls indulged in a pickled pumpkin salad with arugula and a braised ancho-chile short rib with hominy wild mushrooms and sauteed kale. The salad and kale didn’t bother Limbaugh nearly as much as the rib.
As the conservative commentator said, “The problem is, and I dare say this, it doesn’t look like Michelle Obama follows her own nutritionary, dietary advice. And then we hear that she’s out eating ribs at 1,500 calories a serving and 141 grams of fat per serving,” an indulgence Limbaugh calls hypocrisy: http://tiny.cc/7oeec
Needless to say, Kelly Liken, owner of the eponymous restaurant, sprang to Michelle’s defense as did the president’s mainstream media. “A braised short rib is a relatively lean cut of beef, braised with most of the fat cooked off. The 5-ounce serving runs about 600 calories, Liken said– a far cry from the 1,500 calories and 141 grams of fat it’s accused of. Obamian Vacations: Good Sign, Bad Example
Most Americans are lucky if they can get away for for a week at the shore or in the mountains. Some cherish even a few days at a beach or just a day or two away from their daily grind. Then, again, most Americans aren’t the POTUS or the FLOTUS.
President Obama and his family are in process of setting records for vacation time and that’s a good thing at the same time it’s a terrible example.
On the one hand, for those who think he should never have been elected in the first place, any time Obama is not in Washington gives hope that he’s not able to easily compound his many failures to date with additional failures. One can always hope.
Also, his and the first family’s repetitive misuse of executive vacation perks suggest Barack must have a strong inkling that the electorate have finally come to their senses and won’t re-elect him and allow him to continue to thumb his nose at the American people. He may figure that he and his clan might as well milk his position for all its worth.
While our Clown Prince VP is sopping up the rays in Key West, Michelle Obama again took her brood to the slopes of Vail, CO, for the kidlets’ and her winter break, to get away while they can on the taxpayers’ dimes. As usual, when Michelle gets away, she does it up big time, on this occasion getting her R&R at the exclusive Sebastian Hotel on Vail Mountain where rooms range from $605 to $2,000 per night.
FLOTUS was in dire need of a vacation. She hadn’t taken one since way back in December when she and POTUS rented a Hawaiian mansion and racked up something in the area of $100,000 in expenses, compliments of those taxpayers: http://tiny.cc/tp5v6
Hey, look, we all deserve a break today and whenever and I don’t begrudge the Obamas their days on the slopes or in the sun or on the beaches or in Hawaii or Europe or India or England. Some random 2011 thoughts on various administration personages and on what might have been:
WHAT IF Barack Hussein Obama had never met and wed Michelle Lavaughn Robinson? Would he have settled for a white girl like his mother and devoted his life to promoting Marxist principles like his father? Or would he have devoted his life to becoming president of the United States, promoting–and implementing–Marxist principles?
WHAT IF the president’s parents had never met, copulated, and wed, or if his mother had rejected his advances and marriage proposal because he was already a bigamist? Since she did seem to have a thing for Muslim men, what if Stanley Ann Dunham had married a Muslim other than Barack Hussein Obama Senior and never conceived Barry?
WHAT IF Hillary Clinton actually suffered from PMDD, premenstrual dysphoric disorder, . . .

Two instances of people destined to have a lousy Christmas: Iraqi Christian refugees in Sweden and FLOTUS:
Sweden, the country that still preaches Muslim inclusion even after an Islamic terrorist tried but failed to blow up Stockholm just last week, apparently is very selective as to finding room at their inn. Iraqi Christian refugees need not apply.
Sweden’s policy toward Christian refugees my be predicated on practical, if nonsensical, reasons, namely that there’s little angst there over screwing over Christians since Christians aren’t likely to protest by planting bombs in the Swedish capital, so those irrepressible–and dumbass–Swedes “are deporting Iraqi Christians fleeing their 2000 year homeland seeking refuge in Sweden because of murderous attacks against them by Iraqi Muslims in Iraq.”
Follow the Swedish logic?
Sweden and most of Western Europe, (and, to a lesser extent, the United States), are virtually under siege by their burgeoning Islamic populations so, what to do? Well, of course, and just in time for Christmas, show those Muslims who’s in charge! Muslims.

Being obnoxious and being presumptuous often go hand in hand and both are annoying. Michelle Obama and Barbara Walters are notorious for having melded the two annoying qualities.
The ungainly “Lady O,” best known for lacking pride in her country for most of her adult life. in her current role as First Lady or FLOTUS has been trashing about for something else to make her proud and finally hit on it this year. In her unpaid but perk-stuffed role as presidential wife, she must have felt she had to do something.
Former FLOTUSES have dedicated themselves to pretending to be president, (Eleanor Roosevelt and Hillary Clinton)), to keeping their hats on straight, (Bess Truman and Mamie Eisenhower), to White House beautification, (Jackie Kennedy), to environmental enhancement, (Lady Bird Johnson), and to literacy, (Laura Bush).
Michelle Obama’s new found niche is fat kids.
Now, it may be true that childhood obesity is a serious problem in America but hardly the national security, indeed, national survival illusion, issue that Mrs. Obama seems to want it to be. Still, it’s a worthy project for a first lady–until she veered into the obnoxious-presumptuous sphere by believing in her self-importance and brilliance.
She veered into that sphere when, typically dropping her “g’s” in such words as “tryna” and “doin,” she lectured America on nutrition. While acknowledging it was “ultimately the responsibility of parents,” she ripped a page from Hillary’s “Village” by saying, “We can’t just leave it up to the parents:” http://tiny.cc/wz7cv . . .

I readily and happily admit I’m no fashion maven and readily concede I long thought a “fashion plate” was a complimentary way of referring to a nice piece of dinnerware.
I also admit that I once published an opinion, http://tiny.cc/sgsbf, that hailing America’s First Lady Michelle Obama as one of 2009′s “100 Hottest Women,” according to Maxim, was grossly mistaken at best, bizarre at worst. Even if she didn’t make Maxim’s hotness cut in 2010, on reconsideration, I guess that’s yet another example of beauty–and hotness–existing in the minds and perceptions of beholders.
However, I draw the line at Vogue’s recent designation of Michelle Obama as among the world’s 10 ”best dressed” women. Looking all gussied up de-planing in Mexico City, she placed third behind Blake Lively and Marion Cotillard and just before Jessica Biel and Alexa Chung: http://tiny.cc/qbnp2
If males can be catty, I guess that’s catty, as well as rude and mean-spirited, commenting on a woman’s appearance, but in the case of the pretentious Michelle Obama, it’s merited.

I mean, seriously, really, Michelle Obama as “best dressed?” Best dressed for where? . . .

Ya think President Barack Hussein Obama smells an election coming and knows his Dems just may suffer a historic defeat on November 2? I do.
I concluded an earlier article on Barack Obama’s new-found religiosity–and it’s NOT the Islamic religion, I’ll have you know!–with the following: ”The mainstream, the center, is the source of all good things for politicians and in that center are 225,000,000 American Christians. Obama is tracking in that direction and thinks he can go ‘a hundred miles an hour’ as long as he has his plastic Jesus on board.”
That was a reference to Obama’s semi-retreat on his earlier pronouncement to the Muslim world that America was not a Christian nation, his statement last month that the U.S. is “still predominantly Christian,” his packing up the family to attend services at St. John’s Episcopal on September 14th, and telling a New Mexico audience (71% Christian) how deeply influenced he was ”by the precepts of Jesus Christ.”
