The following recent news stories have been covered on CNS.com but may or may not have been reported by President Barack Hussein Obama’s mainstream media. Probably not since, after all, they are Obama’s MSM.




1. Bill Clinton’s former pollster Stanley Greenberg commented on the possibility of Gov. Mitt Romney picking Condoleeza Rice for his vice presidential running mate.



Greenberg fulfilled his role as an Obamian poseur by comparing the prospect of a Republican choosing a pro-choice VP candidate to the Democrats choosing a segregationist.



Greenberg’s obvious racial/racist reference to Ms. Rice’s African-American heritage betrayed either his gross historical ignorance or his intentional effort to adhere to the Obama’s campaign’s strategy of distorting realities.



The Republican Party was the party of blacks in America from the time Republican Abe Lincoln freed the slaves up until FDR convinced them his raw deal was in their best interests and it was the GOP that stood up against segregationist Democrats such as KKK Grand Kliegel Robert Byrd and Al Gore’s daddy to pass the Civil Rights Act of 1964.



LBJ’s Great Society, which virtually obliterated millions of black family units and rendered more millions of blacks as economic slaves dependent on the government for survival, may have solidified the African-American bloc for Democrats. However, for Greenberg to suggest the Democrat Party is not the Segregation Party is as ludicrous as suggesting Democrats give a damn about the welfare of African-Americans.



2. Clueless and devious White House Press Secretary Jay Carney made the outlandish observation last week that his boss’s 2009 $831 billion economic stimulus package is “widely recognized to have broken the back of the recession.” . . .

Politics and Profits in the Trayvon Martin Farce

NBC’s Miami affiliate reported last week that “The FBI found no racial bias behind George Zimmerman’s shooting of Miami Gardens teen Trayvon Martin, according to dozens of documents related to the case released Thursday.”




That conclusion and those documents should put an end to an already discredited, central theory in the prosecution of George Zimmerman for the shooting of Trayvon Martin, namely that the 28 year old, mixed-race Zimmerman was motivated to murder Martin on February 26th, 2012 out of racial hatred.



It must have been difficult for Sanford PD lead investigator Chris Serino to make that blockbuster announcement since he had precipitously implied four months ago that Zimmerman was a liar in claiming self-defense in the shooting and had wanted the neighborhood watchman thrown in jail posthaste.



Now, based on his investigation and statements of character witnesses, Serino thinks Zimmerman wasn’t a racist at all but rather an “overzealous” watchman with a “little hero complex.” Again, since we don’t customarily hang people because they are overzealous little heroes, the persistent, highly-political allegations that what happened in February was a hate crime should be put to rest.



Not on your life! There’s too much else at stake, like a national election, placating blacks, and making money!



President Barack Hussein Obama’s Attorney General Eric Holder’s Department of Justice, literally or figuratively intent on hanging Zimmerman as a sop to the black community and racial agitators, will continue its investigation as if Martin’s killing was a hate crime. (http://tinyurl.com/8a8bl34)

From the outset and regardless of the facts, George Zimmerman was portrayed by the mainstreamers as a bloodthirsty murderer and when evidence contradictory to that portrayal surfaced it was either ignored or, as in the case of recorded 911 calls, doctored to make him appear a mad racist intent on stalking and killing Trayvon Martin because he was black.



To supplement its Zimmerman distortions, the MSM invariably depicted Martin as an innocent, unarmed, defenseless African-American youth, a fine young man merely strolling at night through the middle class streets of Twin Lakes with a bag of Skittles when he was savagely set upon and brutally attacked.

Most people don’t care how many angels can dance on the head of a pin since the question is pinheaded and the answer almost as incalculable as the number of lies in Barack Hussein Obama’s Dreams from My Father: A Story of Race and Inheritance.




Obama’s “memoir,” first published in 1995 when the future president was all of 34 years of age and while he was still slaving away as a Chicago civil rights attorney, soared into the best-seller list after he addressed the 2004 Democrat Convention and rocketed following his election to the United States Senate in 2006 and began to make noises about running for the presidency.



Revised and re-issued in 2004 after those noises became thunderous and Obama came to believe his wild ambitions thanks to aid, encouragement, and financial support from mysterious, unidentified “friends,” Dreams became a publishing phenomenon and helped make Obama a millionaire “one-percenter.”



Barack Obama’s childhood dream of leading the Free World his Marxist father so detested was on the near horizon; America’s Left and America’s book-sellers welcomed him with open arms, open wallets, and open adulation.



Gushing acclaim followed. The book was variously praised as “extraordinary,” “daring,” “evocative,” “honest,” “lyrical,” and “candid” and was dutifully awarded a place on Time magazine’s list of the top 100 English non-fiction books written since 1923.



Heady accolades, indeed!



The chief problem with Dreams from My Father is that the book is largely fiction in the guise of a memoir. Overflowing with lies and misrepresentations, Dreams went unvetted by the mainstream media most of whom obviously never read it before virtually proclaiming it the greatest autobiography penned since Johannes Gutenberg invented the printing press in A.D. 1440.



Why vet a book when you don’t bother to vet its alleged author?



Dreams from My Father has evolved into a transparent nightmare for our misbegotten president as his prevarications have become public knowledge.



LIE NUMBER ONE. First came the suspicions of people who did read Dreams and noticed distinct stylistic and ideological similarities with the writings and thinking of the confessed, unrepentant domestic terrorist, Bill Ayers.



To this day, Obama contends he barely knew Ayers, who lived in his neighborhood and with whom he served on the 9-member Woods Fund of Chicago and whose family reputedly financed his Harvard Law School education.



When Google recognized Ayers as the ghost writer of Dreams and Ayers confirmed writing the book last year, the matter of the authorship of the “autobiography” should have been closed.



It wasn’t. Obama’s acolytes wouldn’t allow their hero to be tarred with truth no matter how extensive that truth.



LIE NUMBER TWO. As with many African-Americans, including semi-African-Americans, the young, mixed-race Barack evidently preferred dating white girls.



In Dreams, Ayers wrote of Obama’s “New York girlfriend,” another mystery, “Genevieve Cook,” who never existed as an individual, yet he was able to clearly describe her looks, voice, and mannerisms.



David Maraniss’ recently-published biography, Barack Obama: The Story, has been characterized by the Huffington Post as questioning “the accuracy of the president’s memoir.” In fact, Maraniss did nothing of the sort. He didn’t question the accuracy of Dreams. More precisely, he. . .

In case you missed it, in the middle of its sixth season, NBC’s highly vaunted hit comedy, ”30 Rock”, which is neither a hit nor very comedic, hit rockbottom last Thursday by featuring a reversion to blackface.




If you did miss the show, you have plenty of company since almost everyone else did too.



Despite being a big fave among leftist elites, “30 Rock” has been an abysmal flop.



With Nielsen rankings starting at 102 in its initial season, climbing all the way to 94, 69, 86, then flopping back to 106 last year, its death throes could be heard last week as “Mad Men’s” guest star Jon Hamm donned black makeup in a sketch ostensibly aimed at satirizing racism in the television industry.



Confident in the liberal misconception that libs can’t be racists any more than blacks can, the live episode was more a desperate attempt to boost ”30 Rock’s” ratings by mocking African-Americans under the guise of satire.



Hamm, decked out in an afro and mimicking stereotypical black speech, would have been driven into the same entertainment oblivion as “Seinfeld’s” Michael Richards just a few years ago but, apparently, blackface is now back in vogue.



The use of blackface–white performers such as Al Jolsen coloring their faces in dark paint or charcoal makeup in order to appear as what were then called Negroes–dates back to the days of 19th century minstrel shows. Blackface, always cloaked in humor, later became symbolic of every slander committed against black people.



As it did in 2010, “30 Rock” once again revived the previously-condemned practice of whites ridiculing blacks by appearing in blackface as comedic fodder even though, along with the word “nigger,” which is also making a regrettable comeback, it has been banished as a gross example of racism.



It was a counterintuitive gambit to satirize discrimination against blacks on television since anyone who watches TV has to be aware that African-Americans have been represented in dramas, sitcoms, and commercials far in excess of their 13% of America’s population ever since Rev. Jesse Jackson complained blacks were being given short shrift in the entertainment industry. . .

The Trayvon Martin Bonfire

Themes of Tom Wolfe’s blockbuster 1987 novel, The Bonfire of the Vanities, are being played out in real time in Sanford, Florida with the tragic death of Trayvon Martin serving as background and inspiration.

In Bonfire, white bond-trading “Master of the Universe” Sherman McCoy is falsely confused of killing a poor, black Bronx youth in a hit-and-run accident.

McCoy is arrested, hounded by the media, crooked politicians, and African-American activists into bankruptcy. He loses his family and contemplates suicide, not because of anything he actually did but because of what may best be described as a bizarre societal frenzy.

Henry Lamb, the dead victim in Bonfires, becomes the central character in a circus of political and racial dysfunction; Trayvon Martin has become the center of shameful exploitation of a young man’s unfortunate death.

Characterized by the MSM and his other supporters as an innocent, high school honors student who wouldn’t hurt a fly even though his death occurred late at night when he and a friend approached McCoy’s vehicle on a dark Bronx street in what most people would regard a threatening fashion, Lamb is all but canonized in the book as Martin has been in real life.

Neither was a saint anymore than Sherman McCoy or George Zimmerman were saintly.

Certainly, few comparisons can be drawn between the cocksure millionaire McCoy and Zimmerman, except for the comparably baseless campaign of villification by the media and professional black exploiters.

Based on available evidence and eyewitnesses, twenty-eight year old, half-Latino, Neighborhood Watch captain, George Zimmerman, is being unjustly crucified.

He has been painted as a murderer. The New Black Panther Party has posted “Wanted Dead or Alive” signs in Sanford. Spike Lee has tweeted his home address and he has been forced to go into hiding. The usual provocateurs have descended on Sanford to instigate hatred and discord.

Adding a farcical note, the president of the United States leapt into the fray. Barack Hussein Obama tends to do that when he scents a political advantage as he did in the Rush Limbaugh-Sandra Fluke matter. Obama ostensibly wanted to insure a fair and just investigation into Martin’s death, implying that local and state authorities would have whitewashed the incident had he not intervened.

Adding an almost comic touch to the month-old tragedy, Trayvon’s grieving mother laid out $650 to trademark “Digital materials, namely, CDs and DVDs featuring Trayvon Martin,” etc. not, mind you, so she could cash in on her son’s death. (http://bit.ly/GRXC29)

Aside from turning a tragedy into a travesty, Trayvon Martin’s shooting has evolved into yet another example of African-Americans turning a regrettable incident into a world-class debacle.

Much like Wolfe’s novel concerning Sherman McCoy and Henry Lamb, local and national media depicted Trayvon Martin as an innocent young man who was merely carrying a package of Skittles and a can of iced tea home to a younger sibling when he was senselessly accosted, followed, and shot by a trigger-happy Zimmerman.

America Is No Longer America!

Those naive souls who foolishly believe that the United States of America is still a free and independent nation, that we should be proud of who and what we are and what we have achieved, that we are one nation under God had better read the newspapers.

Thanks to America’s Left and to the United States Congress, those foolish beliefs have been undermined for decades and, since the accession to the presidency of Barack Hussein Obama on January 20th, 2009, they have been proven absurd.

A few recent instances, which have been covered by Obama’s mainstream media with its usual spin:

Obama’s Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta confirmed the reality that this administration regards American sovereignty as much a thing of the past as gasoline.

Panetta appeared before the Senate Armed Services Committee and effectively declared that the congress’ constitutional responsibility to declare war and the president’s power to wage war null and void.

In reference to calls for military intervention in the newest Islamic cesspool, Syria, Panetta said that the “goal would be to seek international permission . . . Whether or not we would want to get permission from the Congress–I think those are issues we would have to discuss as we decide what to do here.”

“Whether or not?”

Translated: The USA would require the “permission” of the corrupt, Third World-infested United Nations before we interceded in Syria, which would supersede any constitutional provisions.

So much for independence and soverignty.

An even more telling incident demonstrating that our country isn’t what it used to be occurred at a basketball game in San Antonio, Texas.

The Alamo Heights boys’ basketball team trounced San Antonio Edison and the student crowd erupted with chants of “USA, USA, USA!”

That enthusiastic show of patriotism was condemned by the press, the coach, and by Alamo Heights’ administrators as “racist” on the sole basis that the Alamo Heights team is predominantly white and Edison is mostly hispanic and, therefore, the chant must have been racially inspired.

KSAT.com reported the enthusiasm as a “racial incident” and district spokesperson, Lesley Price, said, “This is very disrespectful to our students. It is surprising and it’s disappointing to hear that anyone would be out there making those kind of remarks.”

Again, those disrespectful remarks were, “USA! USA! USA!” . . .

Joe Biden and Cornell Belcher, Liberal Desperados

Desperate people have a tendency to say desperate things to conceal their desperation but don’t tell the Obamians their desperation is showing. It’s becoming increasingly difficult, though, not to get exasperated over their disregard for truth and their ruthless invective.

Liberals are getting more anxious by the day as their hopes for four more years of Obamamania diminish with every downtick in their leader’s approval ratings, every uptick in the unemployment numbers, every news item revealing the multiple scandals and disarray enveloping their hero’s administration, and evidence the president is becoming isolated and withdrawn.

Still, the extremes to which liberals have been going lately and the outlandish rhetoric they employ suggest a serious disconnect from reality that should be disturbing to liberals and rational people alike.

Vice President Joe Biden and Obama adviser Cornell Belcher are two cases in point of liberals and their thought processes sliding into a dark hole of bleak desperation.

Never at a loss for words, always at a loss for rationality, Biden let slip another doozey last week during his ongoing push for passage of Obama’s ”jobs bill,” which even his Democrat Senate refuses to consider, as he trashed about for excuses for an economy in the toilet.

He is now blaming the Chinese.

More specifically, during an interview with NBC’s David Gregory, America’s clown prince attributed the nation’s worsening economy at least in part to Chinese real estate. He might just as well have blamed the price of tea in the Middle Kingdom. As Biden explained, “There are roughly, depending on the estimate, 30 to 50 million apartment units in China that are vacant and people are worried about the real estate bubble there.”

So, vacant apartments in China are hurting America’s economy? I’m no more an economist than Clueless Joe but attributing any degree of our mess to a Chinese bubble of any sort borders on madness, or Bidenness.

Biden went on to define the cure for what ails us: passage of Obama’s American Jobs Act which would add up to 2 million new jobs to America’s work force. If true and based on previous exaggerations it isn’t, CNS.com points out they would be mostly government jobs, anyway, and the cost of the legislation would probably outweigh its benefits. For his part, interviewer Gregory showed a marked lack of inquisitiveness by letting Biden get away with his claims. Had the interviewee been G.W. Bush a few years ago, Gregory and his MSM coterie would have verbally beaten Bush over the head and shoulders for such outlandishness.

Last month, Obama lackey Cornell Belcher showed an even greater disregard for common sense than Biden when he, an African-American, charged GOP presidential candidate Herman Cain, an African-American, with being a racist bigot toward African-Americans. . .

Bureaucrats at the Department of Justice deny hosting conferences featuring cupcakes for which the department paid $16. apiece–not to mention $10. for cookies, coffee at a buck an ounce and snacks at $32. a head–even after its own Inspector General rebuked them for excessive spending and the DoJ agreed to monitor such expenditures more closely.

As per Obamian protocol, the DoJ recovered its fumble, then punted–to the previous administration contending most of the conferences in question took place under George W. Bush’s watch. In effect, Attorney General Eric Holder’s department said, We didn’t do it, Bush did it, but we won’t do it again.

With all the charges of racism, gun running, and lying that have been lodged against Holder, $16. muffins and $10. cookies, etc. are the least of his, and our, problems but, still, it must be confer an extraordinary sense of entitlement to be able to waste precious tax monies when the nation is gasping.

Closely related to what CBS dubbed “Muffingate” is the allegedly-racist Berkeley cupcakes scandal; both muffins and cupcakes are baked goods.

NPR, which technically stands for National Public Radio but could more accurately be described as Nationally-susidized Public Radicals, took great umbrage at last month’s demonstration of racism in action at the extreme University of California at Berkeley. NPR’s Michel Martin felt the campus Republicans were unoriginal, intellectually dishonest, willfully ignorant of what minorities have endured in the past, and should “man up.”

What Martin didn’t say was that this was Obamatime, payback time, so suck it up, honkies!

The Berkeley College Republicans–yes, there are a few sane kids out on the Left Coast–had hosted a “diversity bake sale,” which seems innocuous enough. However, it was the dastardly right wing pricing structure for the cupcakes that got NPR’s collective shorts in a wad.

The goodies were offered for sale to white students at $2. each, to Asian-Americans at $1.50, to hispanics for $1.00, to women for $1.25, to African-Americans for seventy five cents, and to Native Americans for a quarter, quite the bargain for the ladies, Latinos, blacks, and Indians, not so much for Asians and Caucasians.

The Ambiguous Faces of Bias and Discrimination

We all discriminate and have biases.

When we choose what color to wear, when we pick one political candidate over another, when we buy certain apples instead of other apples, we’re discriminating and exercising our biases. It’s only when discrimination relates to race, gender, national origin, religion and, lately, to sexual orientation that it becomes societally ugly and unacceptable.

To its great credit, America has evolved significantly from our bad old, bigoted days yet bias still exists in large part because people are people and don’t necessarily think their beliefs reflect bias as much as realism and they feel their views are both warranted and true. Then, too, bias and discrimination are often in the eyes of the beholder.

Complicating matters even more, some bias and discrimination are considered less vile than others.

In America’s bad old days, African-Americans were consigned to the back seats of buses, women were welcomed as corporate secretaries but not as company bosses, “Irish Need Not Apply” signs decorated doors of employers, Jews were allowed to loan us money but not own banks, and people like Chaz Bono were regarded as freaks, not dancers.

To be sure, outdated ideas haven’t all died away but whether they are all intrinsically “bad” is debatable.

The Cherokee Nation, a 300,000-strong tribe of semi-autonymous American Indians, just decided that only Cherokees are qualified to vote in their elections, which seems reasonable enough. However, that decision effectively disenfranchised some 2,800 “freedmen,” non-Cherokee descendants of slaves owned by tribesmen prior to the Civil War.

Doing what it does best, the federal government interfered in Cherokee internal affairs on behalf of the 2,800 and the tribal elections are now in Indian limbo.

Was the decision by the Cherokee Nation discriminatory? On its face, apparently so although it would seem that voting in Cherokee elections should be restricted to Cherokees, no? Was it bias? Only if tribal unity is a biased concept.

Demonstrating that the bane of political correctness is not confined to our shores, a more transparent and reprehensible discrimination with no shades of ambiguity is occurring in England. There, in the name of political correctness, children as young as three are being labeled for life with the stigma of being racists and homophobes for the sin of, well, acting like kids.

The Brits have seen fit to register over 30,000 mostly primary-school age children in a government database, a tainted record which will follow them wherever they go, due to such horrid schoolyard infractions as calling another child a “broccoli head” and for improperly using the terms “gay,” “lesbian,” and “gaylord.” . . . Is it racist to report the news truthfully and honestly?

President Barack Hussein Obama’s mainstream media doesn’t think so, as demonstrated in various articles on this weblog and as attested to by a rare and honorable African-American, Professor Walter E. Williams. Williams frankly acknowledges that the MSM censors and expurgates news by downplaying racial agitation and omitting the racial identities of criminals for a variety of reasons, most of which relate to political correctness dictating what Americans are entitled to know.

Nevertheless, the racial beat goes on.

Good Obamabuddy Reverend Louis Farrakhan, aka Calypso Louie, aka Louis Eugene Wolcott, aka the Prince of Rage, aka grand poohbah of the black racist-separatist Nation of Islam, by all indications is still a good buddy despite having asked the president of the United States, “Who the hell do you think you are?” for ostensibly opposing Libya’s Daffy Qaddafi.

Louie has again crawled out from under one of his palace rocks to stir his anti-American pot.

This time, Obama’s bud is beating the drum for the Fort Hood mass murderer Major Nidal Malik Hasan who, like Farrakhan and his tribe, is really a good Muslim despite having slaughtered 13 people and wounding 30 others as he screamed, “Allahu Akbar!” Farrakhan defends the major since Hasan was only attacking American soldiers who are all raping and murderering Muslim women, and men, in the Mideast.

Never fazed by truth, Calypso Louie ignores the facts that 7 of Hasan’s victims were civilians and that the vast majority of our troops would never go near hygienically-challenged Iraqis and Afghanis unless they had to shoot them in the line of duty.

All are as intent on subverting American justice, our laws, and our sense of equitable treatment of all citizens regardless of race and religion as Farrakhan, Wright, and Major Hasan.

A Minnesota school district, after laying off 94 teachers due to budget cuts, paid $160 per to send a group of teachers to a 3-day “White Privilege Conference” in Minneapolis focused on the proposition that America was ”built on the premise that the U.S. was started by white people for white people.”

Conference founder Eddie Moore Jr., PhD explained the purpose of the gathering. His screed reads like something out of the New Black Panther handbook.

“White supremacy, white privilege, racism and other forms of oppression,” he says, ”are designed for your destruction, designed to kill you, so what I want this conference to help people of color to understand is how that system works. How it can create little bitty things that add up, that cause hypertension . . . that cause you to maybe eat unhealthy [sic] or not exercise.”

Niger Innis, national spokesman for the Congress of Racial Equality and Bucknell University professor James Peterson debated the fiscal propriety and rationale of the conference on FNC’s “Hannity.”

Sean Hannity called the expenditure in the face of $7 million school district cuts “outrageous.” Innis termed the misuse of taxpayer dollars for such a conference “absurd” and “disgusting” and decried the purpose of creating a sense of “victimization” among blacks. Peterson concurred with Moore’s contention that “white privilege” exists in America and that the conference represented a wise use of scarce school funds because blacks have different “concerns” than whites.

The National Enquirer which prints a lot of news the New York (PC) Times doesn’t deem fit to print, such as anything liberals find unflattering, has just revealed that the only child of Hillary Rodham and Bill Clinton, Chelsea Victoria Clinton Mezvinsky, has been dumped by her hubby of six months, former Wall Street wannabe mogul, Marc Mezvinsky. He opted out of moguldom and now apparently out of marriage in favor of becoming a ski bum in Jackson Hole.

Aptly named after the swinging Chelsea section of London, Chelsea Clinton Mezvinsky’s parentage seems to have had little or no influence on hubby Marc or on the couple’s marital pleges. He, allegedly, kicked the former presidential first daughter to the curb after a dispute over procreating a former-presidential-first-daughter-grandchild: http://tiny.cc/zkcwx

If all true, it’s hard to say who’s the winner and who’s the loser in all this: Momma Hillary who professed to wanting a grandchild more than the presidency, Chelsea who reportedly now wants an annulment, Daddy Bubba who probably doesn’t give a flying sheat about any of it, or Marc.

I’d have to award winner status to Marc and the rest of the Clinton rabble can scrabble for the remains of losership.

A definite winner is James E. Graves, Mississippi Supreme Court justice who has been renominated by President Obama for a spot on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. In view of his record, Graves’ renomination can only be seen as a transparent effort by the president to reinforce his joke of promising to institute a post-racial, color-blind new America. . .

Okay, I thought USDA official Shirley Sherrod proved herself a typical racist, black bigot based on that 20 second snippet of video tape that originally went viral. After all, she did say, “I was struggling with the fact that so many black people have lost their farmland and here I was faced with having to help a white person save their land–so I didn’t give him the full force of what I could do. I did enough.”

A lot of other people thought the same including conservative publisher-commentator Andrew Breitbart, Tom Vilsack, U.S. Secretary of Agriculture, Benjamin Todd Jealous, CEO of the NAACP, and, most disturbingly, Barack Obama, president of the United States.

Since the truth came out on Tuesday, almost everyone has been falling all over themselves in a rush to issue apologies after their rush to judgment.

President Obama promised Americans that if he were elected, this nation would experience “a post-racial society” for the first time in our history. As with so many other of his changes and buzz words, he never bothered to define what he meant by “post-racial.”

It was widely assumed that he meant that he would work to accomplish that which Dr. Martin Luther King only dreamed of, “a nation where men will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.”

More relevant today is another quotation, “When you assume, you make an ass out of you and me,” because any white person who believed Obama and his administration would strive to effect a truly color-blind society would have to be considered a total ass.

Indeed, what we have witnessed in only the first 18 months of Obama World has been the absolute antithesis of color-blindness and post-racialism. It’s been more like retribution time and payback time; reparations time can’t be too far down the road. . .

Have Tea Partiers Stopped Beating Their Wives?

A classic, deceptive rhetorical device involves asking if your opponent has stopped beating his wife yet. The question presupposes that he has beaten his wife in the past and thereby a yes or no response condemns the opponent as a wife-beater.

Nice trick.

Vice President Joe Biden used a variation on the wife-beating trick in his ostensible defense of the Tea Party movement as not a “racist organization” a cute, deceptive rhetorical device. It presupposes that at least some people believe the Tea Party is in fact a racist organization and for those who hadn’t heard that slander, it serves to get it out on the public table.

As he said on “This Week,” with typically-jumbled syntax, ”The truth is that at least elements that were involved in some of the Tea Party folks have expressed racist views. We saw that on television . . . There are individuals who are either members of or on the periphery of some of their things . . . that have expressed really unfortunate comments:” http://tiny.cc/8h7ws

He didn’t explain and wasn’t asked what he saw on TV.

Nor did he criticize outright racism as it exists in the administration’s own Justice Department . . .

“The Bush Civil Rights Division was willing to protect all Americans from racial discrimination; during the Obama years, the Holder years, only some Americans will be protected. Americans have a right to know and judge the racial policies of the administration they elected in 2008.”

Those are the words of someone who should know, a fellow by the name of J. Christian Adams who served as an election lawyer in the Civil Rights section of the Department of Justice for many years, until he witnessed what to a dedicated lawyer was a subversion of justice.

That subversion related to various cases the Obama/Holder DOJ has mishandled and especially the case of the New Black Panthers and the undisguised–and official–favoritism being extended to black defendants by our new Department of Justice.

In a resignation letter dated May 14, 2010 Adams cited the merits . . .

Cops, Race, and the Law

“A policeman’s lot is not a happy one” wrote Arthur Sullivan of Gilbert and Sullivan fame in The Pirates of Penzance.

And that was a century before Arizona’s new immigration law was signed by Governor Jan Brewer. Life under the new statute is bound to get unhappier for cops, sheriffs, state troopers, and other lawman in the Grand Canyon State after July 29th, 2010, its effective date since the eyes of the country and the world will be focused on their every action.

That scrutiny will be aimed at insuring that the law is implemented as written, that no one will be stopped and searched based simply on the hue of their skin. That would be profiling which is a no-no.

That central provision of SB 1070 is a feature never mentioned by the likes of Al Sharpton who is hell bent on getting the law repealed even before it becomes effective so he and other race mongers can claim a victory along with the publicity they crave.

Fat chance, Reverend Al.

Sharpton and his ilk should look closer to home if they want to complain about racism and point to the New York Police Department and its crime statistics. Those NYPD stats aren’t any more racist than Arizona’s SB 1070 but facts and truth have never been an obstacle to Sharpton before so why start now? . . .

The Double Standard in Action

My fellow Americans, we have a crucial election coming up in November, an election which can turn the tide against an administration which has turned its back on America. In order to win that election, we must unite. We must reconnect with all those people who deserted us in 2008 and those who were with us but in insufficient numbers and join together to defeat the party of Obama and all they stand for. We call upon every eligible and ineligible voter who is middle aged or older, who is white, not Latino, and who is male to support us this coming November to overcome the Democrats and take back our great republic from the forces of darkness.

Would the above be considered an outrageous appeal to racism, ageism, and sexism? It damned well would and should be but President Barack Obama gets a free pass when he says much the same thing and plays the race card. . .

Harry Reid and the Racist Democrat Party, Part II

The winds of rage from Democrats over Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s racist remarks about Obama have already subsided.

They were more like zephyrs, anyway, since it is widely known that Democrats can say virtually anything–racially insensitive, sedititiously un-American, drunkenly raucous– and they’re always welcomed back into the fold, into that huge Democratic tent where everyone from Jesse Jackson to Robert Byrd are “family.”

Sunday morning, less than a day after Harry’s comments hit the fan, Donna Brazile in a debate with Liz Cheney on CNN was already saying that Reid’s commendable record on civil rights affords him a pass on racial slurs and that she will campaign for his re-election.

Besides, Brazile noted, Harry was bloviating in the context of praising candidate Obama meaning, I presume, that racist comments are fine and dandy as long as the commentator makes nice to the subject of his racism.

And, as long as the commentator is a Democrat.

The capacity for Black Democrats to forgive their fellow Democrats . . .

Muhammed Bites the Dust

The “Beltway Sniper” is no longer with us. Nor are the 10 innocent people John Allen Muhammed chose to eliminate from the face of the Earth seven years ago.

As has been pointed out, Muhammed had the opportunity to bid his final farewells to those near and dear to him.

His slain victims, at best, were able to say things like, “Bye, I’m going out shopping/to work/to visit Aunt Milly,” and that was about it. They never returned. The three who survived the shootings were luckier and only have to live the rest of their lives with the memories.

Just over 24 hours ago, denied a final mercy and as hand-wringers over capital punishment were in full force . . .
