Slime, Sleaze, and Levi Johnston

Levi Johnston is the kind of guy a girl should bring home to meet the family–but only if the family would beat the living daylights out of him. The reader may recall Levi, the handsome, young high school student who transformed himself into a vile snake to gain fame and make a buck.

Todd and Sarah Palin of Wasilla, Alaska and their young daughter, Bristol, were evidently taken in by Johnston in more ways than one. The Levi-Bristol relationship has become common knowledge: pre-marital teen sex, pregnancy, Baby Tripp, and two engagements, both of which Bristol broke off.

Following Tripp’s birth, Bristol worked, attended school, took care of their child, became a spokeswoman for teen sexual abstinence, advocated against abortion, wrote a “memoir,” Not Afraid of Life: My Journey So Far, and finished as a finalist on “Dancing with the Stars.”

Johnston decided he didn’t want to get his hands dirty in the Alaskan oil fields and opted for a career as a male model/actor and, since that objective wasn’t panning out too well, embarked on a mission to smear the Palin family. He, too, wrote a book, a yet-to-be-released tome with the slanderously-loaded title, Deer in the Headlights: My Life in Sarah Palin’s Crosshairs.

Try 58 year old John Ellis “Jeb” Bush, successful businessman, charity activist, rock climber, convert to Catholicism, Third Degree Knight of Columbus, married 37 years to Columba Garnica Gallo, proud father of three grown children, and two-term 43rd governor of the State of Florida.

Jeb, however, has his negatives, chiefly his name. He’s the second son of former President George Herbert Walker Bush and brother to former President George Walker Bush which in itself is sufficient to give conniptions if not cause diarrhea in the bowels of America’s liberal, leftist, Democrats, a description that sadly today covers most Dems.

The Dem-MSM deconstruction machine is no doubt in full throttle already, digging, “investigating,” and fabricating when those digs and investigations turn up dry, doing all it can to manufacture dirt and lies to discredit this new Bush, this new Bush-bane to their existence. . .

Lefties will surely uncover “dirt” of some sort or the other whether they discover anything unsavory in his past or not. They will trot out candid photos to make him appear a jerk. They may even suggest he married a hispanic in 1974 for the sole purpose of ingratiating himself with the Latino community decades later. They certainly will make liberal hay of his daughter Noelle’s drug habit, as they do a dube and snort a line.

The bottom line is that Jeb Bush is by far the best qualified candidate the Republican Party has to offer to roundly trounce Barack Hussein Obama next year. . .

There are so many eligible candidates for 2011′s April Fools Awards that it’s difficult to choose the most worthy but I have narrowed down the best by limiting them to the most current in their various fields. . . Fools rush in where angels fear to tread. April Fools such as Barack Obama, Harry Reid, Charlie Sheen, Bill Maher, David Ferrer, Barry Bonds, and the NYPD rush in when propriety, honesty, decency, and common sense are tossed. Some people are just slow learners.

The New York Republican Party establishment, in which “Rockefeller Republicans” still hold sway, falls into that category. Someone should remind them of what happened nationwide on November 2nd when a resurgent conservative movement gave notice that there was a resurgent conservative movement.

You may recall that old brand of liberal, pseudo-Republicanism dating back to the late fifties which included such illuminati as Nelson Rockefeller, Jacob Javits, and Louis Lefkowitz who were all confirmed RINOs long before the term was created. To a man, they opposed Barry Goldwater for president in 1964 and managed over the years to make the New York Republican Party indistinguishable from the Democrats.

Back in 2009, new age RINOs demonstrated they still knew how to win elections–for Democrats. Then, the New York Conservative Party nominated Doug Hoffman for Congress in a special election in the upstate 23rd CD. Backed by Sarah Palin and the Tea Party and opposed by confirmed RINO Dede Scozzafava and by GOP bigwigs, Hoffman was the clear favorite.

Long story short: Scozzafava dropped out of the race, appropriately on Halloween, endorsed Democrat Bill Owen, and Owen won by 2.3%

Fast forward to 2011 and another upstate special election, in New York’s 26th CD, the seat vacated by Chris Lee after he opted to audition as a centerfold instead of continuing as a congressman. . .

Not only was the “comedian” not rebuked or censored for his witticism by the “NBA on TNT” commentators, among whom was NBA great, Charles Barkley, made on a sports show yet, but the liberal National Organization for Women has uttered nary a peep about Morgan snidely reducing a woman to a sick, sex object.

Nor has the NOW crowd peeped even after Morgan reinforced his sexual slur by adding, “the glasses and all of that . . . great masturbation material,” which evoked rollicking guffaws at his crude one-liner from Barkley and his buddies.

I re-posted the article on various websites and received the following verbatim critique:

It was a curious response, to say the least, curious for various reasons among which is that I wasn’t trying “to convince people to vote for Palin because some liberals are stupid” or “ignorant.” I was simply trying to demonstrate the depths to which liberals stoop to denigrate her. Secondly, Palin is not my candidate and hasn’t declared her candidacy for any office, anyway.

Presumed and obviously very angry liberal “SharonH” did lead me to wonder why a liberal would defensively assume I felt those on the Left were either stupid or ignorant. After a little research, I came to understand “SharonH’s” defensiveness and I can now conclude that libs are both stupid and ignorant. They may have more advanced degrees than the average conservative in flyover country which does not mean they are smarter; it just means they go to school more.

As a relatively literate and informed person, I was initially mystified, and annoyed, at the latest brickbat tossed Sarah Palin’s way, until it all started to make devious, sick sense.

It wasn’t nearly sufficient to continue to accuse the former Alaska governor of the canard of almost singlehandedly causing fruitcake Jared Loughner to go berserk in Tucson. She now is being accused of anti-Semitism because she used the common term “blood libel,” a charge as patently ridiculous and baseless as the allegation that she in any way influenced Loughner or his rampage.

Historically, the term was applied against Jews and related to the ancient myth that they murdered innocents, usually children, for the purpose of ritualistically drinking their blood and making matzohs. However, it’s not unusual today to employ the term to mean a degrading falsehood as Palin used it in saying her detractors “manufactured a blood libel” against her.

A more sane reaction to the “blood libel” insanity came from none other than Jewish activist and arch-liberal attorney, Alan Dershowitz, who asserted Palin used the term correctly.

It’s relevant to quote Dershowitz at some length on the subject: “The term ‘blood libel’ has taken on a broad metaphorical meaning in public discourse . . . its current use has become part of the English parlance to refer to anyone being falsely accused.” Dershowitz added, “I myself have used it . . .

On Wednesday, President Obama visited gravely wounded Rep. Gabrielle Giffords in her hospital room and later revealed during his address at a memorial service for the slain and injured in Tucsonthe very good news that Giffords had opened her eyes for the first time since she was shot.

In his speech, he called for America’s healing even as his Secretary of State was preaching more divisiveness.

Obama pleaded for national healing in the aftermath of the tragedy which resulted in 6 deaths and 13 wounded, allegedly by Jared Loughner wielding a Glock 19. CBS’ late night clown David Letterman was reportedly so distraught over 9/11 that he contemplated discontinuing the “Late Show with David Letterman,” reportedly. It would have been a good move.

Nevertheless, Dave braved on.

He eventually married his long-time live-in and mother of his son, Regina Lasko, when son Harry was around six. He evidently didn’t want Harry going through life with that bastard label etched on his back.

He managed well enough to forget his grief, as well as his wife and son, and squeeze in multiple assignations in his coop at the Ed Sullivan Theater, including a long-term affair with his perky intern, Stephanie Birkitt, who was young enough to be his granddaughter.

He seemed to forget his upset over 9/11 when he slandered former Republican vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin as a slut and her daughters as little slut-ettes, for which he caught some flak but for which he was summarily forgiven by the feminist set which only takes offense if abnormal females are maligned.

Since skating on that slander, Letterman has been on a vendetta against Mrs. Palin and her kin ever since Palin told him what to do with his phony apologies. That vengeful blood feud intensified and became a “comic” staple of his show. More so even than he attacks his nemesis, Jay Leno, who beat him out, twice, for Dave’s nirvana, The Tonight Show, Letterman reviles Palin’s appearance, her books, her television show, and her family, all in good fun, of course.

Maybe he feels women are an easier target and/or that she won’t run him over with one of Leno’s classic cars?

Letterman does have an advantage over Leno in one respect. This is not to suggest that Leno is a Republican lackey but Dave, apparently, has been assigned the semi-exclusive right, assignment, and duty to rip the GOP and all its members which duty he fulfills incessantly and redundantly. . .

Call a death panel a doctor sitdown or end of life care or an elder consult, it all means the same thing, the same thing for which Sarah Palin was mocked for even suggesting, the same thing the Obamians swore on all that was holy was not and would not ever be a feature of Obamacare, the same thing that was the hidden centerpiece of that monstrous 2000+ page legislation passed last year which no one read.

Being obnoxious and being presumptuous often go hand in hand and both are annoying. Michelle Obama and Barbara Walters are notorious for having melded the two annoying qualities.

The ungainly “Lady O,” best known for lacking pride in her country for most of her adult life. in her current role as First Lady or FLOTUS has been trashing about for something else to make her proud and finally hit on it this year. In her unpaid but perk-stuffed role as presidential wife, she must have felt she had to do something.

Former FLOTUSES have dedicated themselves to pretending to be president, (Eleanor Roosevelt and Hillary Clinton)), to keeping their hats on straight, (Bess Truman and Mamie Eisenhower), to White House beautification, (Jackie Kennedy), to environmental enhancement, (Lady Bird Johnson), and to literacy, (Laura Bush).

Michelle Obama’s new found niche is fat kids.

Now, it may be true that childhood obesity is a serious problem in America but hardly the national security, indeed, national survival illusion, issue that Mrs. Obama seems to want it to be. Still, it’s a worthy project for a first lady–until she veered into the obnoxious-presumptuous sphere by believing in her self-importance and brilliance.

She veered into that sphere when, typically dropping her “g’s” in such words as “tryna” and “doin,” she lectured America on nutrition. It’s far different than that “something” about Cameron Diaz’s Mary but it’s pretty evident that the Left has something about Bristol, Palin, that is.

The latest something oozed out of the mouth of second-rate, proud member of the “D-List” comedienne, Kathy Griffin, currently on tour in Afghanistan allegedly to entertain the troops.

She failed miserably to entertain them, shaming the memories of Bob Hope and hundreds of other real entertainers over the years who went “over there” to bring some laughs and support from those of us “over here.”

In the process, she pissed them off and they responded accordingly with resounding rounds of boos when she tried to diss Bristol Palin, oldest daughter of Sarah Palin, by saying Bristol was fat, and not just fat but “Precious” fat, ”the only contestant in the history of ["Dancing with the Stars"] who actually gained weight.”

Oddly, she did get some yuks by joking about deformities to the troops when she inanely quipped, “I know. Individual deformities. Uh, sue me, but that shit’s funny. Hear me out. My left boob is actually bigger than my right boob . . . And let me tell you something—20 minutes ago backstage, when I was giving a topless lap dance to the commanding officer—you know, I had my deformity. We were laughing about it. Well, no, “that” wasn’t a joke on their C.O. as much as on Griffin, herself. The troops were laughing at her not with her.

Griffin tried to overcome the chorus of boos resulting from her fat joke on Bristol by adding, “She gained like 30 pounds a week, I swear to God. She’s like the white Precious,” which she felt was so witty she repeated, “like the white Precious.” After saying she loved their booing, Griffin sought refuge by introducing the cast of “Jersey Shore” which finally quelled the disapprobation.

I’m certain Kathy Griffin has never even met Bristol Palin, as certain as I am that Griffin is a tasteless, useless appendage to the USO troupe. But what exactly is it about Bristol that invites such gratuitous, senseless carping which echoed Margaret Cho’s attacks a week earlier on her “friend” Bristol?

Together with Griffin, Cho defines feminine unattractiveness but the cause must be deeper than that.

The 42 year old has-been-who-never-was, Margaret Cho, the Korean American feminist and avid supporter of all things gay let loose a barrage of unsubstantiated lies against her fellow “DWTS” contestant, including the baseless allegation that Sarah Palin blamed Bristol for her loss in 2008 and that her mother forced Bristol to appear on “DWTS.”

In her column, “Pistol Whipped,” Cho demonstrated the fine, Oriental art of setting up her target by saying, “She’s warm and incredibly supportive, and I think that she looks beautiful out on the dance floor. It’s heartbreaking that people are so awful to her about her weight.” Then she goes for the jugular . . .

Dunn suggests the “quitter governor” maligns both the president and his bride in the book.

Dunn is especially incensed over the following passage, this “cheap shot,” about the Obama’s: “Certainly his wife expressed this view when she said during the 2008 campaign that she had never felt proud of her country until her husband started winning elections. In retrospect, I guess this shouldn’t surprise us, since both of them spent almost two decades in the pews of the Reverend Jeremiah Wright’s church listening to his rants against America and white people.”

The view in question is Palin’s contention that President Barack Hussein Obama, (Dunn notably omits Barry’s middle name), “seems to believe” that “America–at least America as it currently exists–is a fundamentally unjust and unequal country.”

Now where could the quitter governor possibly have construed that?

In a much different context, Tennessee Williams wrote in The Glass Menagerie that “The mass of men lead lives of quiet desparation,” which may or not be true.

However, it is very true that masses of Democrats, both Dem pols and the unholy mass of MSM Democrats, are currently leading desparate lives as they fret with good reason over the probable loss of the House of Representatives and possible loss of the Senate. It is also true that desparation leads to desparate acts and, thanks to “early voting” we have already witnessed many of those acts with many more to come before the obese lady sings on Election Day.

The leftist organization, ACORN, which raised voter fraud to the level of a virtual art form, may technically be gone but ACORNers are alive and well and practicing their art as are George Soros’ MoveOn.org and the New Black Panther Party which is ready and more than willing to again intimidate white voters with billy clubs.

In case that wouldn’t be sufficient to sway the election, the liberal television media has been getting more intimately involved with promoting voter discouragement and disaffection.

With the besieged Republican, Tea Party candidate in Delaware, Christine O’Donnell, that effort took the form of networks alleging they weren’t given sufficient notice to air her paid, television spot. When she turned to public access channel, Delaware Channel 28, as a last resort, that station, umm, forgot to air the 30 minute tape.

Tim Qualls, executive producer at the channel contended the O’Donnell “people” didn’t meet his deadline. He also said he was a Republican who had planned to vote for O’Donnell but changed his mind after “the tape situation:” http://tiny.cc/687nl

Right, a Republican would change his mind on which candidate was better for the state of Delaware based on a “tape situation.” And pigs can not only fly but can sing the “Violetta Aria” in La Traviata far better than Maria Callas ever could.

One person beyond fed-up is former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin. She lost her cool on the Fox News Channel on Sunday in a furious reaction to another instance of clear Dem-lib desparation. Whatever the Left says about former Alaska governor Sarah Palin, and they say a great deal, they can never say she fails to speak her mind.

You betcha, she does!

Like VP Joe Biden, but devoid of Biden’s inanity, Palin tends to think out loud as she did on “Fox News Sunday” in commenting on President Obama and his administration’s selective enforcement of the law.

When Governor Jan Brewer and the state of Arizona elected to enforce federal immigration law since the federal government has failed to do so, Obama and his Justice Department and the Department of Homeland Security denounced the Arizona statute, SB1070, without bothering to read it, then went to court to sue a sovereign state.

Essentially, the administration contended that Arizona had no right to usurp federal law which superseded state law. They won a temporary injunction levied by United States District Court Judge Susan Bolton.

Governor Palin objected not only to the lawsuit but to the federal government’s failure to enforce its own laws equally. Arizona was deemed not in compliance but the 31 American cities which are self-designated “sanctuary cities” and which have instituted ordinances, effectively local laws, in violation of federal laws were given a free pass.

Aside from the technical impossibility of a woman possessing those male appurtenances, Palin’s remark is right on the money. (Incidentally, before liberals start attacking Palin for having a potty mouth, then-U.N. ambassador Madelyn Albright used the same graphic terminology in reference to Cubans back in 1996.)

Ok, we’ve known since she was nominated as McCain’s pick for VP that the Left was salivating to get at Sarah Palin, in more ways than one.

They had a presumed Republican novice in their sights and they collectively zoned in on the governor of Alaska.

Even they felt uncomfortable trashing an American hero, John McCain, aside from saying he was an old fart who didn’t know the internet from a hairnet, much like Joe Biden who thought websites have phone numbers.

However, Palin was more than fair game and they proceeded with vicious ad hominem, family, and political attacks since, closet-sexists as Lefties are, they felt they could freely pummel her and she would roll over and play dead or roll over and let them have their figurative will with her.

They failed in both ambitions.

Sarah Palin proved to be the best choice McCain could have made, drawing far bigger and far more enthusiastic crowds of true Republicans, true conservatives than the wishy-washy war hero.

The so-called “women’s movement” became more a bowel movement when it came to supporting a conservative woman candidate.

Give us your tired, your poor, your huddled masses but don’t even think of giving us a woman who revels in her husband and her womanhood, despises abortion, and who professes conservative values.

Sarah Palin scared the Democratic Left to its rotten core in 2008. In 2009, with the publication of Going Rogue: An American Life, she has petrified them.

With the able assistance of fellow McCain RINOS who are still seeking a scapegoat for their ignominious loss and disastrous screw-ups, the campaign to destroy Sarah Palin, begun 15 months ago, has intensified.

McCain strategist Steve Schmidt joined the Left in lambasting Going Rogue.

With a history of masterfully strategizing defeat on state and national levels, (cf. Tim Leslie, Matt Fong, and Lamar Alexander), Schmidt should have slunk off to the Home for Loser Strategists last November 5th.

Instead, he chose to lie in wait and to snipe at Palin in an attempt to save his sorry rep.

“Total fiction” and disappointing, bleated Schmidt about Going Rogue. This from the same man who undermined Palin’s candidacy from the start by alleging she suffered from post-partum depression.

He went on to almost single-handedly guide the McCain-Palin ticket into a humiliating electoral nosedive last year. Sore loser extraordinaire Schmidt is now whining because Palin had the fortitude to out him and his failures.

Is it any wonder he would be p*ssed?

Schmidt’s getting his nose out of joint over Going Rogue is paled by the Left’s anticipated antipathy toward Palin and her book. It is as if it were a revised edition of Mein Kampf.

Epitomized by the rush to publication of Going Rouge: An American Nightmare, the lividity of the Left over Palin is as transparent as their hero, Obama, is opaque.

Dave Letterman likes to spread out his venom.

His tiresome, vengeful attacks on Sarah Palin, his defense against her reaction to his calling her and her daughter virtual sluts and a reflection of his cockiness after skating through his own sex scandals, were getting old and his writers were getting stale in their digs.

They were rescued by the publication of her best seller, Going Rogue, which at once became an ancillary target with Letterman’s brief nightly skit, “Things Better than Reading Sarah Palin’s Book.”

Those film attacks show cars crashing into trees, having one’s head explode in a microvave, and other inane, tasteless disasters as preferable to reading Palin’s book.

They’re getting old as well so last night’s “Top 10″ list on Obama’s interview on FNC branched out by attacking another conservative subject: Coming in at Number One was, “Agreeing that Glenn Beck is a dump.”

Not much better can be expected from crass, dirty Dave and his foul abuse of Beck was not unanticipated given the obsession liberals have with destroying him.

Still, it reinforces an interesting phenomenon, namely that when conservatives becomes too threatening, Leftists like Letterman and others go into spasms in their efforts to bring them down into their own muck and mire.

Mrs. Palin, with her incredible popularity and crowd appeal still tops the Leftist Attack Charts. However, Glenn Beck has gotten way up in their craws, too.

Polls showing Beck’s topping Larry King, Anderson Cooper, Keith Olberman, and Chris Matthews’ combined scores just may be playing a factor in the Left’s angst and venom.

You can always tell a Leftist. You can’t tell them much but you can always tell them.

Ok, that’s an old line but a line as true with regard to the Left as the day it was first uttered.

Sarah Palin’s book, Going Rogue: An American Life, due for public release on November 17th was probably targeted by the Forces of Darkness, the Left/liberals/mainstream media/Democratic Party, as soon as HarperCollins announced its publication.

Ever on the alert to discover conservative flaws and errors, the Associated Press assigned no less than eleven attack dogs to fact check the book and came up with little ammunition–6 alleged inaccuracies in the memoir’s 413 pages. Fact-checking the AP fact checkers, the revelations are exposed as mostly reporter opinions and misrepresentations.

The Saturday Night Live Appearance: Palin bodaciously admits that as a teen, she snuck around under her parents’ radar to catch ”SNL” and jumped at the opportunity to appear on the show where Tina Fey had been surreally impersonating her. She was to experience “a nice mom moment” with Fey and Fey’s daughter. To her credit, she snubbed another guest on the show that night, director and re-interpreter of history, Oliver Stone, because of his hero-worship for Hugo Chavez. Why she didn’t also snub another guest, Alec Baldwin, is a mystery but I guess she figured she had to talk to someone on the SNL set.
