What Hath Obama Wrought?
Okay, let’s give the man some credit, but not too much.
President Barack Hussein Obama is claiming his drawdown of America’s forces in Afghanistan enabled the capture and summary execution by Navy Seal Team Six of Osama bin Laden and he has announced the complete withdrawal of American troops from Iraq by year’s end.
The former is a stretch but plausible even if then-CIA Director Leon Panetta actually gave the order to get Osama while Obama went to bed. At least the president didn’t obstruct the operation.
The Iraq bug-out will constitute an accomplishment only if our departure doesn’t send a signal to neighboring Iran to fill the vacuum, a distinct possibility that terrifies many Iraqis and may make them long for the good, old days of Saddam Hussein and his sadistic sons.
When Obama concludes what he called the “necessary war” in Afghanistan and withdraws our troops from that sorry land, a comparable disaster could ensue.
Demonstrating his contempt for the nation that put him in power, Afghani President Hamid Karzai has already declared an alliance with another former U.S. friend, Pakistan, and when his government implodes under the weight of corruption, America will find itself back to square one in the region.
Yet another questionable plus in the Obama column is his non-interference with the drone that took out the terrorist Anwar al-Awlaki. Obama hasn’t boasted much about that action since al-Awlaki was an American citizen and killing him is widely interpreted as an unconstitutional abuse of power by our constitutional-scholar president.
None of those accomplishments-by-inaction will endear him to peaceniks in his Democrat Party nor to members of the committee that awarded Obama a Nobel Peace Prize but that’s a whole other story as is whether they will help him win re-election with the American economy mired in the doldrums.
After the plaudits for those questionable coups subside, the most immediate issue on Obama’s foreign policy table right now is, What has he wrought in the Mideast?
What comes to mind is the age-old aphorism that the devil you know sure beats the devil you don’t. America’s current president has rescued a number of devils at the same time he has sent some to Hell.
What hath Obama wrought?
In the Libyan non-war, the euphemestic “kinetic military action” Obama swore would last days not weeks and went on for seven months, our Tomahawk missiles and drones softened up the defenses of Col. Khadafi’s loyalists and put him on the run until rebel forces trapped him in a sewer drain and executed him.
Libya thus rid itself and the world of the mad dog, a man who had called Obama ”our son” and whose friendship was reciprocated by our president before he turned on his “dad.” In turn, Rev. Louis Farrakhan, who used to address Obama as “brother,” then asked his bro, “Who the hell do you think you are?”
More pertinent questions now would be, What have you done, who and what are taking Khadafi’s place, and what now? . . .

Libya--the Mideast Cuba?
Libya--the Mideast Cuba?
I was just a teenager back in 1959 but I can still recall the great hullabaloo, predominantly positive hulabaloo, over Fidel Castro, with the media referring to him as the “George Washington of Cuba” and exulting over their darling’s victory over the evil Fulgencio Batista, with teachers all a-bubble with excitement since Cuba was finally free.
Not only was Batista, El Hombre, a dictator but he had illegally seized power, had consorted with gamblers and known criminals, and suffered from the severe liability (to American leftists) of being friendly toward the United States.
Similar to the 2008 hype for Barack Hussein Obama, his successor, Fidel Castro was hailed a a savior, a man of the people who would bring joy and prosperity to his island nation. Fidel couldn’t quite walk on water as Obama could but he seemed to share most other Obama qualities and oratorical skills, sans teleprompters.
Not known at the time, with the able assistance of his fellow Marxist revolutionary, Che Guevara, Fidel would imprison and murder tens of thousands of his countrymen, come close to initiating World War III, and reduce Cuba to an economic basket case.
An added bonus for leftist Castrophiles is that, unlike Batista, Fidel hates America.
Although they may not smoke cigars because Islam and Allah frown on tobacco products, the Libyan rebels now on the verge of deposing Muammar Khadaffi and hopefully doing unto him what Iraqis did unto Saddam Hussein may very well turn out to be far worse for U.S. interests than both “mad dog of the Middle East” and the mad dog of the Caribbean.
Khadaffi was certainly not one of America’s best buddies and continued to support international Islamic terrorism yet he, allegedly, abandoned his efforts to develop weapons of mass destruction in 2003, after America massively visited mass destruction on Afghanistan and Hussein’s regime.
Nevertheless, “The devil you know . . . ” and Libyan rebel devils may soon make the United States yearn for the good, old Muammar days.
Our president, peace-lover that he is, refused to concede that our war in Libya was even a war.
The White House opted to describe the conflict as a “kinetic military action” while we kinetically led NATO forces against Khadaffi loyalists, launched hundreds of kinetic Tomahawk cruise missiles against Tripoli and loyalist strongholds, and gave Syria’s equally-treacherous Bashar al-Assad a free pass.
You see, war bad, kinetic military action good in Obamaese. As for Assad, the Obamians haven’t a clue what to do.
Like Fidel Castro who was deemed good contrasted with Fulgencio Batista, the Libyan rebels are likewise considered the good guys compared to Khadaffi. Like Castro, they are likely to bite America on its collective arse, only more severely. . .

Our Pathetic, War-Mongering White House
Our Pathetic, War-Mongering White House
The Obama White House may go down as the most corrupt administration since another Democrat, Lyndon Baines Johnson, sat in the Oval Office, setting all-time records for grasping, manipulative, overreaching conduct, actions which are matched by its tackiness.
Regarding the tacky, and disregarding Rep. Anthony Tweeterman Weiner in that category, the president exhibited his roots this week by raffling himself off for five bucks a chance. More specifically, by participating in a presidential sweepstakes, four lucky winners could win a dinner with the Chief Executive of the United States of America, time and locale to be determined.
Obama made the unique, limited time, offer in a campaign email to his millions of minions in which he appealed for financial assistance toward his re-election saying, in part, “We rely on everyday Americans giving whatever they can afford–and I want to spend time with a few of you. So if you make a donation today, you’ll be automatically entered for a chance to be one of the four supporters to sit down with me for dinner. Please donate $5 or more today.”
Winners will also receive free air fare and accommodations for the “casual meal among friends” and they aren’t even required to contribute, although that detail was hidden where all scammers hide their scam, in the fine print. (http://bit.ly/lFs5Mi)
The heart quickens at the prospect, the stomach churns at the vulgar tastelessness, not of the meal necessarily but of the lack of dignity and class.
Were lack of taste and class the only Obamian flaws, they could be overlooked, if not forgiven. Lord knows Americans are well acquainted with this crew’s crudeness by now.
We could even overlook the report on Politico.com that Google.com has granted “special access” to Obama’s re-election campaign, denied to Republicans, which would provide information on Googlers for the edification of Obama’s campaigners. Google claimed to Politico that it was simply an experimental program and definitely not a “special deal” accorded to Obama. (http://politi.co/iD7HK6)
Heaven forbid that Google would favor the Obamians! It’s surely just an experiment, that will be concluded on or about November 6, 2012.
However, again, as with a tacky presidential lottery, Americans can overlook Google’s anti-GOP bias since we’re so used to it. What we can’t and should never become accustomed to is this president’s usurpation of power. . .

2011 April Fools
2011 April Fools
There are so many eligible candidates for 2011′s April Fools Awards that it’s difficult to choose the most worthy but I have narrowed down the best by limiting them to the most current in their various fields. . . Fools rush in where angels fear to tread. April Fools such as Barack Obama, Harry Reid, Charlie Sheen, Bill Maher, David Ferrer, Barry Bonds, and the NYPD rush in when propriety, honesty, decency, and common sense are tossed. Give me good, old fashioned circus clowns anyday!

A Preview of Obama's Libya Speech
A Preview of Obama's Libya Speech
Our president plans, finally, to address the nation on his actions, and inactions, regarding Moammar Khadafy, Libya, maybe the United Nations, maybe NATO, maybe Hillary, maybe the price of keffiyehs in Tripoli.
Speech well-prepared, trusty teleprompters at the ready, President Barack Hussein Obama will take the Oval Office seat, long disinfected of Clinton droppings, and try to explain . . .
It was amusing when Prissy famously said in GWTW, ”I don’t know nothin’ ’bout birthin’ babies.” It’s terrifying when an American president effectively says, ”I don’t know nothin’ ’bout what tha hell is goin’ on in the world.” He also knows nothin’ ’bout being president.

Obama's Fiscal Armageddon
Obama's Fiscal Armageddon
No one could possibly say that this president of ours isn’t always on the job, highly-attuned to his responsibilities, committed to serving the American people. As incontrovertible proof of all that, he abbreviated his South and Central American jaunt and headed home–a full two hours earlier than planned.
Nevermind those allegations that heading off with family in tow for Brazil when Japan was on the verge of exploding, when Libya was in critical meltdown, when Wisconsin was in revolt was ill-conceived and outrageously-timed. Obama’s finger was on the pulse of national and world events at all times. He even passed up an excursion to Mayan ruins to accent his dedication and jetted home from his 5 day trip–two hours early.
Who knows what inspired the sudden attack of awareness that he should be in Washington rather than in Latin America? After all, he was as well capable of tending to the affairs of state in Brazil, Chile, and El Salvador as he was in the White House. And never you mind, you naysayers and Obama-bashers carping that he never should have left D.C. in the first place during upheavals at home and abroad! Just disregard the messages of detachment and disinterest sent by an American president going on another vacation during these tempestuous times.
Malia and Sasha were on spring break. He had to take them somewhere!
But, the enigma remains: Why the rush back? Lord help us if it were because of Liz Taylor’s death! That’s doubtful, although anything is possible with a star-struck president so enamored with the Hollywood set.
Perhaps he had to get back because his Libyan coalition which had never really coalesced was rapidly disintegrating or because word had leaked out that the administration is considering for FBI chief a candidate who would make Gaius Caligula’s appointment of his horse as Roman senator seem like a stroke of genius.
Then, again, Obama’s Libyan war that is not a war couldn’t be the cause of his hasty retreat home since his non-war strategy couldn’t be any murkier whether he was in the lands of latinos or in the White House. And, as for short-listing Jamie Gorelick . . .

Misperceptions and Misconceptions on War and Oil
Misperceptions and Misconceptions on War and Oil
Old Heraclitus knew the only constant was change. Most moderns also perceive the undeniable truth that nothing stands still and that nothing endures indefinitely. One need only refer to politicians to understand the mutability of their most deep-seated beliefs.
Take America’s distinctly non-Heraclitean Vice President Joseph Robinette Biden. Good Ol’ Joe has never been at a loss for words, especially when he can mangle them and his thoughts better than his boss or when he can simply be obtuse.
Like his boss, his beliefs and opinions are written on the wind and he was markedly windy when, among other utterances, and after deep study of the Constitution, he eruditely concluded that, ”The Founding Fathers had vested the power to authorize even the limited use of military force in the Congress not the president—unless it was necessary for the president to act swiftly to repel an attack on the United States or to rescue U.S. citizens:” http://bit.ly/h8uSRp
That was then, in 1998 as the senior senator from the State of Delaware. Now, as VP during the reign of Obama, he remains eerily silent as the president launches an undeclared war in Lybia without so much as an obeisance, a request for a consult, or a May I? from Congress. For all his faults, GWB did his constitutional duty with Iraq and Afghanistan and received the advice and consent of Congress before going to war.
The more things change, the more Joe changes as does President Changeling, the constitutional scholar, who also flipflopped on the Constitution last weekend.
When asked on December 20th, 2007 during his campaign for the presidency when a president “would have the authority to bomb Iran without first seeking authorization from Congress,” candidate Obama was adamant in declaring virtually never: “The President does not have power under the Constitution to unilaterally authorize a military attack in a situation that does not involve stopping an actual or imminent threat to the nation:” http://bit.ly/eGkLhT
George W. Bush was commander in chief in December 2007, Barack Hussein Obama in March 2011. Either Libya was about to attack America last week or Obama acted in violation of the Constitution when we hurled Tomahawk missiles at Khadafy. Or, everyone, including members of his own party, are misreading the law of the land.
Another misconceived perception is the illogical belief that if America pumps more oil, we would have more oil. . .

The Sick Comedy of Barry and Mo
The Sick Comedy of Barry and Mo
A few generations ago, ”Obama and Gadhafi” or “Barry and Mo” might have suggested a comedy team or comic strip characters. No more. Now there may be comedic elements in that pair but there’s little that’s really funny about either of them.
Thanks to his mainstream media, President Barack Hussein Obama may be riotously gaffe-prone with his references to America’s 57 or 58 states, his use of “corpse,” twice, in lieu of “corps,” his stupidity in calling a Cambridge cop stupid, and a host of other ignorant statements, they are all little known and/or soon buried by his MSM.
Leno and Letterman still crack Bushisms. They dare not touch Obama.
Muammar Abu Minyar al-Gaddafi, better known as Gadhafi, Khadafy, or just plain Mo and Daffy to some, could be the straight man in that comedy duo since he isn’t nearly as funny as Barry–unless one views maniacal behavior as amusing. Recent events in Mo’s Libya could also be seen as amusing–if one can get past repression, slaughter, and mayhem.
Mo isn’t new to the world of comedy, either. His 2009 United Nations’ speech defending the Taliban and Somali pirates has to be considered a comedy classic, especially since one of his boys, Ali Treki, was then President of the U.N. General Assembly, a situation made even funnier by Libya’s subsequent placement on the U.N. Human Rights Council.
Positively rollicking stuff! Then, along comes Barry and war to steal Mo’s comedic, absurdist-comedic, thunder.
America’s Hamlet-function-alike president, torn between his Muslim roots and his presidential responsibilities, was all verklempt over Egypt’s Mubarak but more so about his bud, Mo. I’m not suggesting Barry is or ever has been a Muslim. . .

Obama, "Who the Hell Do You Think You Are?"
Obama, "Who the Hell Do You Think You Are?"
For some while now–about two years or so–I’ve been thinking that things can’t really be as bad as my perceptions tell me, that the United States isn’t respected internationally, that the economy and unemployment rate aren’t improving, that our commander in chief was so far in under his head that he can’t tell which side is up, that he is a committed ideologue whose commitments supersede by far the interests of America, that he is a loser par excellence.
My suspicions are rapidly being confirmed and Rasmussen.com confirms the American people are on to Barack Hussein Obama, the pseudo-American apotheosis, as well.
If they still hold firm to the belief that he is deserving of even minimal respect, witness the disrepectful reflections of an unacknowledged buddy and intimate of his former pastor, Jeremiah “God Damn America” Wright and Moammar “Daffy” Gadhafy, Rev. Louis “Calypso Louis” Farrakhan: http://bit.ly/hKWHwt.
For those not curious enough to click on that story and video, Nation of Islam leader Farrakhan addresses his brother Obama and says, among other things, ”I warn my brother do you [sic] let these wicked demons move you in a direction that will absolutely ruin your future with your people in Africa and throughout the world. . . Why don’t you organize a group of respected Americans and ask for a meeting with Qaddafi, you can’t order him to step down and get out.”
Calypso Louie then totally disses his bro, the President of the United States, with the rhetorical question, “Who the hell do you think you are?”
Disapprobation by one’s bros may be acceptable to fellow bros. Statistics may not be.
The highly-respected pollster Rasmussen.com has tracked Obama’s approval ratings literally from Day One, January 21, 2009 when his approval index was 28 with a whopping 44% of Americans strongly approving the president and 65% in the total approving column and a mere 16% strongly disapproving, 30% total disapproval.
Contrast those numbers with March 19, 2011 . .
