Rush Limbaugh's Sweet Victory
After the FOX News Channel, Rush Limbaugh has been the most potent voice of conservatism in America for a generation, a virtual dagger in the sides of liberals who, until the advent of FOX and the growth and popularity of talk radio, had enjoyed a decades-long monopoly on what and how news was reported and whose opinions would be heard by the public.
FOX has long been in the liberal crosshairs as has Limbaugh but, most recently, Rush has been the liberal target of choice since they believe they could more easily take down and destroy an individual than a billion dollar cable network.
As with the lib campaign to discredit Glenn Beck, who completely recovered after a concerted effort by Media Matters for America, George Soros’ MoveOn.org, and other left wing organizations to silence him, they have failed miserably in their quest to destroy Limbaugh by targeting his advertisers.
The Washington Post’s Paul Farhi admitted that the claim that over a hundred advertisers had dumped Limbaugh was a fraud and he conceded the defeat of the left’s six week boycott on those advertisers even if they haven’t yet given up the fight.
The end result of the battle? Rush lost 2 small market stations of the 600 total that carry his show and 5 advertisers, some of which have tried to return and have been told where to go, and it isn’t to Rush.

For some very explicable reason, true conservatives give liberals the heebie-jeebies.
Of course, the Obama attack machine consisting of the DNC and all his re-election affiliates and the president’s mainstream media is geared to rip any and all Republicans daring to oppose or speak ill of The Anointed One but their venom really gushes out when the threat is a conservative.
The attack machine mobilized its prodigious forces when Michelle Bachmann, Herman Cain, and Rick Perry scrambled to the top of the crowded Republican field and shot down each in turn, digging, digging, digging until they could find some dirt on the candidates and, when they couldn’t dirt, simply manufactured the venom.
They scored big time with Cain who seemed to have almost as many lady friends as their living icon, Bubba Clinton, and had to settle for undefined character assassination and baseless abuse of Bachmann’s and Perry’s I.Q.s.
In the week leading up to the Iowa caucuses, former Senator Richard John Santorum gained some traction and moved to the top of the Democrat hit list.
As Iowans trudge off to their caucuses, it’s worthwhile to re-consider the burning question, What is it about conservatives that gives liberals those heebie-jeebies. . .

Former Republican Speaker of the House Newton Leroy Gingrich lugs around almost as much baggage as a former candidate for the presidency lugged around before he won that office in 1992.
The chief difference between Gingrich and William Jefferson Blythe Clinton is that the former’s dirty linens will probably deny him the Republican nomination in 2012 and the latter’s less-fastidious Democrats elected him twice.
Both developments are damned shames.
Despite Democrat claims to be the Party of the People, which may have been true when they were led by FDR and the people were desperate and later involved in a war FDR manipulated, since at least 1964 the GOP has better reflected the dominant sentiment of Americans in all matters save failed social experiments.
Over the years, muddled-thinking wags have suggested that the best of all political worlds would see a Democrat in charge of domestic policy and a Republican conducting foreign affairs. Aside from the unconstitutionality of such a scenario, the country would be bankrupted by Democrats and so destitute we would be unable to function beyond our borders.
However, none of that speculation is relevant to a Newt Gingrich presidency since Republicans are more inclined to lose than to hold their noses and vote for a guy who isn’t perfect.

Obama's Zuccotti Gamble
Perhaps feeling they have little to lose at this stage of his failed presidency, Barack Hussein Obama and his band of merry mutilators of the American Dream have decided to risk everything and throw their lot in with the people who most closely represent the president’s political and social philosophies.
No, it’s not the labor unions whose support is in the bag as long as this administration endorses salary and benefits in lieu of fiscal sanity. No, it’s not African-Americans who though outwardly disenchanted with the president will still cast over 70% of their ballots for him next year. And no, it’s not his other core constituencies, the homosexuals, hispanics, Jews, and the Wall Street moneybaggers.
Obama knows that gays are still giddy over the repeal of DADT, hispanics are aware his failure to put legalizing illegals on the front burner is a ploy to be remedied in his second term, many Jews think he doesn’t really hate Israel, and that enough of the people he called “fat cats” will open their fat wallets sufficiently wide to enable him to fill his billion dollar campaign war chest.
Still, the Dems are taking a terrific gamble.
It may be that the dogmatic Obama and his ideologically-driven advisers are so consumed by their arrogant sense of Alinskyite superiority that they have been blinded to the folly of offering tacit approval and advocating for the nihilism of America’s nouveau hippies, the twenty-first century’s version of Woodstock, the so-called “Occupy Wall Street” crowd.
Dems are so confused over the protestors that pols such as Vice President Biden have compared them to the conservative Tea Party movement. Such a comparison only holds water if they somehow see similarities between the slovenly, insurrectionist, nihilistic Occupiers and the clean, respectful, patriotic Tea Partiers who wave American flags while the protestors wave dirty underwear.
Nevertheless, I hope the Obamians hang in there with their support. Their backing of the anarchic groups who have infested Zuccotti Park in New York City for weeks and their compatriots throughout the country is a virtual endorsement of next year’s Republican ticket.
Tuesday’s march movin’ on uptown to the deluxe pads of the rich in the sky won’t get them a piece of George Jefferson’s pie but should provide further insight into the extremist motives of the protestors and another boost to GOP prospects.
To be sure, the Occupy Wall Street demonstrators have some valid gripes; no society is perfect and any conscious human being has at least a few complaints, valid grievances over something or other. In a democratic republic, bellyaching is properly addressed at the ballot box.

John Davison “Jay” Rockefeller IV, more commonly known as Senator Jay Rockefeller, has given further testimony to the need for a mandatory congressional retirement age or, at the minimum, congressional term limits.
The 73 year old liberal Democrat, former governor and current senior senator from West Virginia, has demonstrated once again that either his advancing age or flashbacks from a misbegotten youth spent indulging in magic mushrooms, or both, have addled his aristocratic brain.
How else to explain his bizarre statement during a senate subcommitte hearing: “There’s a little bug inside of me which wants to get the FCC to say to FOX and to MSNBC: ‘Out. Off. End. Goodbye.’ It would be a big favor to political discourse; our ability to do our work here in Congress, and to the American people, to be able to talk with each other and have some faith in their government and more importantly, in their future. It would be a big favor to political discourse . . . and to the American people”?
Is that the sound of dictatorship in the background?
First of all, mentioning FOX and MSNBC in the same sentence clearly shows a woeful ignorance–or is it those shrooms, again?–of the nature of those two cable television news networks, the one, FOX, which presents a wide disparity of balanced news and commentary, the other, MSNBC, which presents an exclusively imbalanced, leftist viewpoint which has become an embarrassment even to its parent company, NBC.
Granted, though balanced with such liberal personalities as Juan Williams, Bob Beckel, Kirsten Powers, Susan Estrich, Pat Caddell, and Alan Colmes before he hooked his own show, and Harold Ford, Jr. before he headed for MSNBC, FOX does have a conservative slant in that the network features news the liberal stations such as MNBC, CNN, ABC, CBS, NBC–and MSNBC–prefer to quash in fear that the viewing public learns the truth.
Secondly, consider what Rockefeller is actually saying . . .

Forty eight year old Christopher James “Chris” Christie is the leftist Democrat Party’s worst nightmare since Sarah Louise Palin.
The 55th governor of New Jersey and the 11th governor of the state of Alaska have a great deal in common and therein lies the scabrous rub for Democrats: They’re both deep-dyed conservatives, both committed to their families and to the pre-born, and both are in the liberal crosshairs for the same reason, the left is scared excrement-less of them.
However, libs will find it considerably more challenging to take down Christie than it was for them to smear, slander, and ridicule Palin. Even their late night undesignated hatchet man, David Letterman, who still hardly misses a show without attacking Governor Palin–or former President G.W. Bush–in some way has yet to take on Governor Christie.
Lately, it’s been incessant ridicule of TLC’s highly-successful “Sarah Palin’s Alaska,” which Letterman repetitively insists he won’t watch, just as he had repetitively said he wouldn’t read her best-selling book, Going Rogue, just as he now repeatedly says he won’t read Bush’s Decision Points.
Who really cares what you watch or don’t watch or read or don’t read, Dave, except for your sycophantic audience who are so enamored of your repetitive wit that they don’t realize how repetitious you and your writers are?
Chris Christie, whose very name and Roman Catholic religion rankles the left, is a whole other story for Letterman and his cronies, though. They can’t touch him or suggest he’s a dim bulb since he’s already proven that untrue and they won’t use that tactic even if he says he can see D.C. from his back porch in Mendham Township, N.J. . .

Liberals are always in action in one way or another. Whether they’re fixing elections, slandering conservatives, protesting on behalf of homosexuals, condemning pro-lifers, or marching in state capitals and in Washington, they’re always up to something.
They also subscribe to the non-axiomatic philosophy that if you won’t join them, then just beat them. Literally beat them.
At least that was the experience of the senior editor for Human Events.com, Emily Miller, when she attempted to interview beleagured Harlem congressman, Charlie Rangel, at the October 2nd “One Nation Working Together” rally in D.C.
That misnomered description of the rally, intended to counterbalance Glenn Beck’s September rally at the capital but which was a sparsely-attended failure compared to Beck’s despite unions busing in thousands, was as incongruous as Charlie still being permitted to hold his seat in the House of Representatives but those are whole other stories.
Ms. Miller, former State Department deputy press secretary and former associate producer at ABC News, is a petite woman unaccustomed to literal knock-down-drag-outs that are more appropriate for Harlem bars at closing time than for a political gathering yet she was almost subjected to a knock-down at that ultra-liberal rally.
Fortunately, the assault and battery by the black, liberal “activist” was videotaped.
Let Human Events reporter Jason Mattera describe what happened: “Emily Miller was first hit from behind while she was taping Rangel . . . Miss Miller is heard on the video saying, ‘Please don’t hit me.’ The protester proceeds to yell at [Miller], ‘Well get out of the way! What do you think this is? A–hole.’ Miss Miller continued videotaping the event, when suddenly the same unhinged protester lunged at her, hit her on the arm, and yelled, ‘Don’t take my picture!’
It got better, or worse from Ms. Miller’s point of view.

The results are in on Saturday’s Restoring Honor rally in Washington and the news isn’t good for the news media.
The MSM seem to become arithmetically-challenged when it comes to counting heads at conservative gatherings or, dare I suggest, once again biased against reporting the truth at those get-togethers for the purpose of slanting their reporting.
It happened just over a year ago at the 2009 “9/12 Project’s” March on Washington organized by former Repubican Rep. Dick Armey, the Freedom Works Foundation, and Glenn Beck which drew upwards of a million participants to D.C. The mainstream media reported that thousands and upwards of 100,000 were in attendance.
Now, that’s a highly significant undercount especially since hundreds of pictures clearly revealed that the crowds were far more massive than “thousands” or even a paltry hundred thousand.
Why the liberal mainstream media feel compelled to lie and distort attendance numbers, inflating liberal rally figures and deflating conservative turn-outs, is no mystery.
That compulsion and that distortion are rooted in a deep-seated insecurity as to the honesty and validity of their leftist beliefs but, even worse, they reflect a contempt for the integrity of their journalistic profession and a total disregard for their ethical responsibilities.
It happened again at the Beck non-partisan Restoring Honor rally last Saturday which by happenstance took place on the 47th anniversary of Martin Luther King’s memorable “I Have a Dream” speech and at the same venue of that address, the Lincoln Memorial.
CBS estimated the crowd at 83,000, ABC at “more than 100,000,” NBC said, “tens, perhaps hundreds of thousands, the Associated Press described a ”sea of people standing shoulder to shoulder” as a crowd numbering “tens of thousands.” Beck and special guest Sarah Palin guessed anywhere from 300,000 to 600,000 and Rep. History and the Evolution of Conservatives and Liberals

For those that don’t know anything about history, the following is a condensed version: Humans originally existed as members of small bands of nomadic hunters/gatherers. They lived on deer in the mountains during the summer and would go to the coast and live on fish and lobster in the winter.
The two most important events in all of history were the invention of beer and the invention of the wheel. The wheel was invented to get man to the beer. These were the foundations of modern civilization and together were the catalyst for the splitting of humanity into two distinct subgroups, liberals and conservatives. Once beer was discovered, it required grain and that was the beginning of agriculture. Neither the glass bottle nor aluminum can were invented yet so while early humans were sitting around waiting for them to be invented, they just stayed close to the brewery. That’s how villages were formed.
Some men spent their days tracking and killing animals to BBQ at night while they were drinking beer. This was the beginning of what is known as the Conservative Movement.
Other men who were weaker and less skilled at hunting learned to live off the conservatives by showing up for the nightly BBQ’s and doing the sewing, fetching, and hair dressing. This was the beginning of the Liberal Movement.
Some of these liberal men eventually evolved into women. They became known as girlie-men. Some noteworthy liberal achievements include the domestication of cats, the invention of group therapy, group hugs, and the concept of democratic voting to decide how to divide the meat and beer that conservatives provided.

Conservatives and Show Biz
“There’s no business like show business like no business I know . . .” (Irving Berlin)
You got that right, Irving, even if your next 2 lines, “Everything about it is appealing, everything that traffic will allow/ Nowhere could you get that happy feeling when you are stealing that extra bow,” no longer apply.
To the average American, show biz in the 21st century is far less appealing than it ever was and is less involved in projecting happy feelings than it is in proselytizing, demeaning our culture, and propagandizing.
Oh, add to that making money, BIG money.
I know that’s an overly broad and subjective allegation which must be tempered by many exceptions but it’s still difficult to refute that in A.D. 2010 the entertainment industry, show business, stage, television, and Hollywood, are more sociopolitically polarized than ever and is almost exclusively dominated by liberal-leftists engaged as deeply in outright or subconscious “educating” as in entertaining.
Consequently, show biz is a hugely challenging life for conservatives.
If a right winger dare advertise his or her politics, social views and mores, he and she are often shut out of entertainment’s inner circles and pathways to success and stardom. It becomes tempting for those wannabes with a conservative bent to either conceal their personal philosophies or to live lives of baldfaced lies.
Again, there are exceptions, there are always exceptions to general rules.
The late Charlton Heston, Clint Eastwood, Jon Voight, Kelsey Grammer, Gary Sinise, Patricia Heaton, and the good Baldwin brother, Stephen, come to mind.
However, they are generally very low key and non-combative in expressing their views–except for Voight of late–and they have earned their star status by virtue of dogged perseverence and talent that would not be denied.
Rumor has it that Robert Downey, Jr. is a closet member of that exclusive club of conservatives but he’s not talking.
Those conservatives made it, they became major and lesser celebs, not because of the welcoming arms of the show business set but in spite of oh-so-tolerant Tinseltown’s and television’s gilded doors that were closed to those who failed to hew to the leftist line. . .

Abortion: Conservatives vs. the Others
For those unaware, conservatives are far from perfect.
If proof were needed for that statement, South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford provided it in spades when he chucked wife, family, office, and self-respect to go trotting off to South America to hook up with his Argentinian bimbo, Maria Belen Chapur.
However, Sanford’s excursions prove absolutely nothing with regard to conservatives in America aside from verifying that males of our human species–conservative, liberal, “moderate,” “progressive,” or homosexual–are imperfect and have a propensity to stray.
What is also indisputable is that true conservatives have an inviolable respect for life, for the societal necessity to recognize that protecting and preserving any and every stage of life as basic to civilized society, that to ignore or trample on that essential and obvious truth is to ignore and trample on that which distinguishes humans from beasts of the jungle.
That prevalent pro-life sentiment among conservatives doesn’t necessarily make them better people and doesn’t reflect a “holier than thou” attitude. It simply reflects a concern for the nature of society and the utter collapse of society’s value systems.
Any society is rightfully judged by how it treats the weakest in its midst, . . .

Leftists have long been fond of the low tactic of dismissing rightist charges that there exists a vast left wing conspiracy to suppress negative news about liberals and liberal darlings as nothing more than conservatives manufacturing lies to undermine the mass media and its ultimate darling, Barack Hussein Obama.
That canard was largely exploded even before the last election when Rasmussen and Fox/Opinion Dynamics polls showed that large majorities of voters perceived the media as slanted toward Obama and only 11% felt the media was neutral, as it is supposed to be. Politico.com referred to the media as Obama’s secret weapon.
If their slant was ever a secret, it is no more. Bernard Goldberg, a long time CBS insider, exposed the extent of that slant nine years ago in his book, Bias.
As the president’s approval ratings continue to tank, the Wall Street Journal and Newsvine.com have just outed JournoList (sic): . . .

Teachers and Texas Textbooks
. . . With that as a preface, it’s no wonder public school teachers, led by the NEA, are less than enthralled by the recent demands by the Texas legislature and Board of Education that textbooks reverse the trend of the last half-century to mandate texts that are politically correct.
It’s time for some balance and time for textbooks to reflect a little more sense of patriotism instead of the beliefs of socialist studies departments and their like.
As expected, liberals are distorting the Texas changes. Thus, one (liberal) Texan in an article on Salon.com decries the inclusion of textbook information on Jefferson Davis, states’ rights, the Confederacy, and the Southern view of slavery which he contends is one-sided and distorted: http://tiny.cc/vhiek
What also is getting liberal panties in a wad is the Texan insistence:

Reich, or Reisshhh as Rush Limbaugh calls him, is so consumed by vile, sick venom that he sees a Fox under every bed. Not a red fox or a Megan Fox or a Redd Fox but that most vicious of all foxes, the Fox News Channel.
Now, Mr. Reich is a brilliant man, or so we’re told. We’re also told Paul Krugman is a brilliant man, Barack Obama is a brilliant man, and Bill Clinton is a brilliant man. In fact, just about all liberals are brilliant men, even VP Joe Biden who manages to conceal his remarkable brilliance better than most.
Mr. Reich, writer, politician, academic, political commentator, and multi-degreed professor currently serving in the belly of the beast, UC Berkeley, suffers from the tunnel vision that afflicts most lefties, the tunnel vision that sees only the skewed liberal perspective, a redundancy.

If the Obamians were trying to act as if they wanted to create a new Oceania, George Orwell’s Big Brother society, in America, they couldn’t do any better than they are now.
More and more, we’ve seen government sticking its obscene, uninvited nose into every area of our private and public lives, into corporate boardrooms, into every individual and business enterprise. That intrusion is not in the interests of providing assistance or some other boon but rather to manipulate, regulate, and dictate.
Do I sound paranoid? Maybe, but keep in mind that even paranoiacs have enemies and the primary enemy of every American citizen and corporation is our current overbearing, intimidating government.
Anyone who happens to be of a conservative frame of mind can multiply the governmental threat tenfold. One Obamabuddy is now on record as admitting that liberals in power are virtually duty bound to go after conservatives.
Cass Sunstein, Harvard professor, constitutional law scholar, czar of the administration’s Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs, and rumored future SCOTUS nominee, has ripped open the curtain to reveal what the Obamawizards have up their flowing sleeves. Like the Oz wizard, it’s a pack of lies and deceptions designed for mind control. . . .

Ok, it’s great news. Massachusetts State Senator Scott Brown trounced Massachusetts Attorney General Martha Coakley and will be heading to D.C. asap, hopefully driving his truck. (http://www.rightpundits.com/?p=5338)
The “Kennedy seat” can be termed the “Brown seat” for the next 3 years or so by Republican United States Senator Brown since he will be sitting in it. The Democrat/Kennedy death grip on that seat has been broken and Democrats in the super-blue Bay State couldn’t be much bluer if they held their breaths until the cows came home.
In an effort to shield Obama and his policies from valid criticism, the Dems are spinning crazily and blaming poor Martha Coakley for everything from meanness to ineptitude to being a closet Republican just because she blew a sure thing.
To their credit, the party big wigs have been unexpectedly gracious toward Brown and his victory with David Axelrod grudgingly conceding his “clever” campaign and Harry Reid pledging to seat the new senator posthaste and forego any cynical parliamentary delays.
All fine and good. Even better, Pelosi may be in trouble, Barbara Boxer’s seat is threatened, Reid’s 60 filibuster-proof senate votes just became 59 very filibusterable votes, and Obamacare should be cooked for the nonce unless Dems start playing numbers games with reconciliation.
So, God’s in His heaven, all’s right with the world–for now.
Speaker Nancy is no doubt lining up Blue Dogs to be shot at dawn if they don’t tow the Pelosi line and . . .

Ok, we’ve known since she was nominated as McCain’s pick for VP that the Left was salivating to get at Sarah Palin, in more ways than one.
They had a presumed Republican novice in their sights and they collectively zoned in on the governor of Alaska.
Even they felt uncomfortable trashing an American hero, John McCain, aside from saying he was an old fart who didn’t know the internet from a hairnet, much like Joe Biden who thought websites have phone numbers.
However, Palin was more than fair game and they proceeded with vicious ad hominem, family, and political attacks since, closet-sexists as Lefties are, they felt they could freely pummel her and she would roll over and play dead or roll over and let them have their figurative will with her.
They failed in both ambitions.
Sarah Palin proved to be the best choice McCain could have made, drawing far bigger and far more enthusiastic crowds of true Republicans, true conservatives than the wishy-washy war hero.
The so-called “women’s movement” became more a bowel movement when it came to supporting a conservative woman candidate.
Give us your tired, your poor, your huddled masses but don’t even think of giving us a woman who revels in her husband and her womanhood, despises abortion, and who professes conservative values.
Sarah Palin scared the Democratic Left to its rotten core in 2008. In 2009, with the publication of Going Rogue: An American Life, she has petrified them.
With the able assistance of fellow McCain RINOS who are still seeking a scapegoat for their ignominious loss and disastrous screw-ups, the campaign to destroy Sarah Palin, begun 15 months ago, has intensified.
McCain strategist Steve Schmidt joined the Left in lambasting Going Rogue.
With a history of masterfully strategizing defeat on state and national levels, (cf. Tim Leslie, Matt Fong, and Lamar Alexander), Schmidt should have slunk off to the Home for Loser Strategists last November 5th.
Instead, he chose to lie in wait and to snipe at Palin in an attempt to save his sorry rep.
“Total fiction” and disappointing, bleated Schmidt about Going Rogue. This from the same man who undermined Palin’s candidacy from the start by alleging she suffered from post-partum depression.
He went on to almost single-handedly guide the McCain-Palin ticket into a humiliating electoral nosedive last year. Sore loser extraordinaire Schmidt is now whining because Palin had the fortitude to out him and his failures.
Is it any wonder he would be p*ssed?
Schmidt’s getting his nose out of joint over Going Rogue is paled by the Left’s anticipated antipathy toward Palin and her book. It is as if it were a revised edition of Mein Kampf.
Epitomized by the rush to publication of Going Rouge: An American Nightmare, the lividity of the Left over Palin is as transparent as their hero, Obama, is opaque.

New York Republicans Just Don’t Get It
She’s pro-abortion, pro-gay marriage, pro-card check, pro-tax and spend, in bed with labor unions, and has been endorsed by DailyKos.com.
I’m not referring to Nancy Pelosi or Barbara Boxer. I’m referring to New York State Assmblywoman Dede Scozafazza, the Republican nominee for Congress in New York 23rd CD.
More liberal than many of her Democratic colleagues in the Assembly yet termed a moderate, Scozzafazza is about as moderate as George Soros and her nomination represents the most asinine Republican pick since Rick Lazio ran against Hillary in 2000.
Opposed in the special election on November 3rd by Democrat Bill Owens and the Conservative Party’s Doug Hoffman, Scozafazza’s nomination is a classic example of the political astigmatism and poor memories of the New York State Republicans.
The 23rd and this country as a whole are politically center right and generally reject political extremism of liberal candidates such as Barack Obama unless they successfully cloak that philosophy in rhetorical vagaries, such as Barack Obama did.

“Operation Can You Hear Us Now?”
While most of us are sleeping in or shepherding the kids to soccer games or attending weddings or other festivities this Saturday, “Operation Can You Hear Us Now?” is on the case for America.
Fed up with the blackout of such events as the massive, peaceful, tax-protesting, conservative March on Washington on September 12th which was either ignored or trivialized by that media, “Operation Can You Hear Us Now?” has scheduled no less than 125 events for this Saturday, October 17th to drive home the point that we will NOT be further ignored or further trivialized.
