Obama's "Problem" with Romney's Mormon Religion

The desperate Obama Slime Machine has been getting nowhere with its character assassinations of Mitt Romney, except maybe in the mainstream media.


Attacking Romney’s success at Bain Capital, shamelessly abusing Ann Romney, libelously alleging Romney is a felon, rudely calling him a liar, and falsely accusing him of everything just shy of committing crimes against humanity and nature, all in a vain attempt to deflect public attention from the real issues in this campaign, have failed miserably.

At all costs, the president and his blindly-dedicated slimers don’t want the electorate focusing on the moribund economy, the Fast and Furious debacle, and all the other Barack Hussein Obama’s failures, screw-ups, and gaffes.

Therefore, true to form, more and more of Obama’s faithful acolytes are resorting to suggesting the presumptive Republican candidate’s Mormon faith is a sinister religion and that Romney is unfit for the presidency because of his religious “problem.”

In May, Obama senior advisor David Axelrod dutifully indicated that Romney’s Mormonism would be “off-limits” in the campaign, a lie quickly buttressed by Dem spokesman Ben Labolt who said, “Attacking a candidate’s religion is out of bounds, and our campaign will not engage in it.”

“Off limits” and “out of bounds” apparently were secret code words sent to Obama lackeys instructing them to hammer both Romney and his Christianity.

Democrats, of course, are deeply committed to defending religion as we know from the fact that they have often praised Obama’s 20 year membership in Rev. Jeremiah “God Damn America” Wright’s church.

When W magazine interviewed Katie Holmes back in 2005 though the 26 year old didn’t jump on a couch, she was close to giddy over both her famous new beau, Tom Cruise, and her controversial new “religion,” Scientology.




US magazine has referred to that interview as “infamous [and] creepy” and posted before-and-after photos of the actress which it described as “Katie’s shocking transformation during her marriage to Tom.”



Personally, I don’t regard the pictures as “shocking” at all, other than reflecting seven years of gentle maturation.



However, what was creepily shocking was the fact Ms. Holmes was accompanied to the 2005 W sit-down by a “Scientologist chaperone” with long-standing ties to Scientology, Jessica Rodriquez. Ms. Rodirquez was not only present throughout the interview but at times audibly told the star what to say, such as prompting her to effuse about Cruise,”You adore him.”



Holmes was also allowed to say, “You know, it’s really exciting. I just started auditing [Scientology] . . . and I’m taking some courses, and I really like it. I feel it’s really helping. What I like about it is that, you know, I was raised Catholic, and you can be a Catholic and a Scientologist, Jewish and a Scientologist.”



And maybe a Buddhist, Zoroastrian, and Muslim as well?



That odd interview and Holmes’ confusion as to what religion actually involves are testimony to the success of the “auditing process,” the lofty, esoteric goal of which, according to Scientology’s website, is ”to restore beingness and ability. . . accomplished by: (1) helping individuals rid themselves of any spiritual disabilities; (2) increasing spiritual abilities.”



Auditing also serves to elicit every possible dirty and clean little secret from the audited victim, secrets, it has been alleged, that have often been used to attack apostates.



All in all, there is sufficient evidence that Scientology is much more a twisted, sinister cult than a bonafide religion. It evokes comparisons to the Stepford Wives, visions of Jim Jones’ Kool-Aid, and the terror of Orwell’s Big Brother rather than to religion.



Another woman, Kerry Hiatt, far less famous than Katie Holmes yet clearly more intelligent, recently substantiated that conclusion. . . .

Along with politics, we speak and write about religion at our peril even though American politics and America’s religions are often inextricably intertwined, and they happen to be two of the most interesting subjects to argue about.




Constitutionally a secular nation, the United States nevertheless was founded on indisputable Judeo-Christian principles, principles rapidly eroding under the current administration.



Religion has been in the news a great deal during this general election year and not only in relation to Mitt Romney’s Mormon faith which has spawned vile, illiberal passions and attacks not seen since Roman Catholic Jack Kennedy ran for the presidency more than half a century ago.



For what they’re worth, celebrity religious conflicts have also been in the news recently.



Acting as if movie star divorces were unusual events, celeb-crazed media types have been all exercised over Katie Holmes startling announcement that she is dumping her hubby of 5 1/2 years, Tom Cruise, and taking their six year old daughter Suri with her.



Of course, there’s more to that story than just another Hollywood split.



Some mean-spirited people have hinted that Katie is divorcing Tommy because, as long rumored, the actor is a closet homosexual, a sexual aberration the actress should have noticed long before now–and before Suri.



Many others are pointing to Cruise’s membership in the quasi-religious, ultra-mysterious Church of Scientology and his Scientologist indoctination of Suri as the cause.



Like the late comedian Jimmy Durante used to say, ”Everyone wants to get into the act!” especially when the act involves religion.



Even eighty-five year old media mogul Rupert Murdoch weighed in on the breakup–on Twitter no less!



The multi-billionaire tweeted, “Watch Katie Holmes and Scientology story develop. Something creepy, maybe even evil, about these people” and Britain’s The Telegraph reported that Ms. Holmes is fearful of Scientologist spies stalking her since her announcement that she is divorcing her couch-jumping hubby. It all makes for great publicity, Hollywood’s life blood.



Publicity is also the life blood of politicians, some of whom resort to extremes when they’re running scared.



Desperate for campaign money to defeat Governor Romney, President Barack Obama has been running very scared and has set records for fund raisers and for shameless pleas for donor cash.



Apparently, that abject begging–plus acting like a carnival shill by selling overpriced mugs and tee shirts and $3. chances to dine with the First Couple at “his” White House–aren’t coming close to filling Obama’s campaign coffers so he has once again dispatched his lovely bride on the funding trail.



No slouch when it comes to begging or spouting off, the FLOTUS is evidently as desperate as the POTUS as she envisions life without extravagant vacations and being treated like an empress.

As I’ve written before, why any sane man would would want to be married to more than woman at the same time is beyond me.




Aside from the fleeting allure of sexual variety, “Sister Wives” notwithstanding, the practice of a man wedding and bedding multiple wives simultaneously strikes me as perverted, as well as extremely stressful on the male’s energies and equanimity.



It’s almost as antithetical to normality as homosexuals engaging in sex with “partners” of the same gender, or marrying them, despite President Barack Hussein Obama’s sudden evolution on the subject of same-sex marriage and even though political correctness now dictates that gay relationships must somehow be considered acceptable “variations” on normality.



Having exhausted most of the Democrat talking points on President Barack Hussein Obama’s agenda to discredit and marginalize Mitt Romney as being out of touch with average Americans because he and his father made a success of their lives, Obama’s faithful have lately been calling Romney’s Mormon religion into question.



In America, religion is supposed to be off limits in elections but liberals, who don’t much respect religion to start with, don’t respect any limits when those limits are at variance with their extremist philosophy.



Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and the other 14 Mormons in Congress–13 of whom are Republicans–are generally exempted from such criticism but none of those senators and congressmen are running for the presidency of the United States.



Not surprisingly, liberal aversion to the possibility of electing a Mormon to the presidency has been spiking.



That reality isn’t surprising since libs are anything but liberal when it comes to anyone or anything seen as illiberal and Latter-Day Saints are strongly opposed to the liberal sacrosanct sacrament of abortion, to the practice of homosexuality, and to the legalization of same-sex marriages, among other cherished liberal rights.

Speculation is ripe on how the United States Supreme Court will rule on the constitutionality of the Preservation of Access to Care for Medicare Beneficiaries and Pension Relief Act of 2010, the ultimate title of what most Americans know as Obamacare.

Signed by President Barack Hussein Obama on June 25th, 2010 after extensive late-night machinations, bribes, and add-ons, the bill was originally titled the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act by the Democrat Senate. It was apparently changed in view of the fact there were few patient protections in the 2700 page monstrosity.

Obamacare is not affordable by either patients or the nation but they had to call it something palatable. It’s not known whether any Dems ever read it before they passed it.

Anyway, nine individuals–six men and three women, (six Roman Catholics, three Jews, no Protestants)–are now empowered to secretly decide the fate of a law which applies to almost everyone in a nation of 313,274,338 souls, comprised of 51% protestants, 25% Catholics, 1.7% Mormons, 1.2% Jews, and 21% of other persuasions including Muslims and atheists.

Without suggesting that either the personal faith or gender of the justices will dictate their decision, the religion of the justices is cited here in light of the legislation’s already-obvious impact on religious beliefs of Catholics and other Christians and the widespread discussion of a presidential candidate’s religion for the first time since 1960.

Gender is relevant because the statistical reality is that far more women seek health care than do men and the new law will directly impact the practice of abortion in the country.

Not all of us are affected by Obamacare, however. It won’t be fully implemented until 2014, by design, long after this year’s election. Millions of “exemptions” have been doled out to favored special interests groups, labor unions etc., which didn’t like the legislation anymore than the rest of us but had the political pull to opt out.

As outlined in “It’s Gingrich Time!” (http://www.genelalor.com/blog1/?p=9629), the Obamian attack machine, led in Congress by its High Priestess of Vacuity and Obama idolatress, Rep. Nancy Pelosi, has begun to mobilize against Newton Leroy Gingrich.

The carefully-designed Democrat deconstruction of the latest front-runner in the Republican sweepstakes for the nomination had Pelosi hinting at a ton of allegedly unethical dirt she was prepared to dump on Gingrich, a threatened dumping that made no mention of her own alleged ethical breaches nor of the slew of Obama administration unethical and questionably legal machinations.

Rep. Pelosi withdrew the threat the same day she made it.

As I concluded in “It’s Gringich Time!” “The worst is yet to come in the Destroy Gingrich Campaign.” This will be a long and dirty political year and one of the most reprehensible Dem tactics is already becoming apparent: Tar Newt as a religious hypocrite, a newly-baptized papist fanatic, or both.

The ploy’s success is totally dependent on how well Democrats can get away with smearing Gingrich without smearing his new religion and his new wife lest they be seen as trampling on the First Amendment and the feminine gender. They usually have to be sly about it as in the case of the NewYork Times shortly after his 2009 conversion to Catholicism.

In “Gingrich Gets (a New) Religion,” the Times commented, “But even before his conversion, Mr. Gingrich was branded a hypocrite in the blogosphere after he wrote in a recent Twitter post that President Obama had ‘anti-Catholic values’ ” after he criticized the invitation to President Obama to speak at Notre Dame.

Do note: The blogosphere, not the Times, called Gingrich a hypocrite. Still, the lambasting had begun and mostly relates to his marriages.

In “Newt Gingrich’s Religion,” Salon.com is less subtle, delineating the differences between the religion Newt had left and the one he had adopted, pointing out the basic tenets of the Baptist faith and that, ”With Gingrich’s conversion to Catholicism, he has, in effect, publicly renounced them.”

Salon not only snidely attacks Gingrich but takes digs at his wife, citing why Newt converted and casting aspersions on Callista Bisek with snide references to her immorality: “The first reason he mentions is the fact that his current wife, Callista, is a devout Catholic.”

Then Salon goes for the real dirt: ”Not so devout, however, that she minded carrying on an affair with the married Speaker of the House. The affair lasted for at least five years while Gingrich was married to his second wife.”

As we all know, ultra-moral liberals take great umbrage at such things, especially when liberals are not involved.

Sounding more envious than chagrined, Salon also threw in another shocker: “Not that it really matters, but Gingrich is 23 years older than Callista. When their affair began, she was in her late 20’s, Gingrich in his 50’s.”

If it didn’t matter, why mention it–other than to paint Mrs. Gingrich as a bimbo and her husband as an aging, hypocritical roue’?

Bill Clinton married once, Ronald Reagan twice, Newt Gingrich thrice.

By all indications, Clinton’s marriage has been something other than one made in heaven, Reagan’s first marriage to Jane Wyman ended amicably and his second to Nancy Davis was the stuff of marital legend. Gingrich’s first two weddings have been mischaracterized by the media as something akin to marriages by Jack the Ripper to his victims.

Newt’s third marriage, which has lasted eleven years, is the one that most sticks in the MSM craw.

Gingrich lately seems more than a bit happy, content, and at peace with himself and his philosophy, none of which sits well with the mainstreamers who distrust him because his father was career military and because they’re still peeved over 1994.

The stickiest issue is that Ms. Bisek is a Roman Catholic and now so is Newt and we all know how sinister those Catholics are, right? . . .

Tebowing, a PC No-No

“Tebowing” in the National Football League is unrelated to elbowing, kicking, or tackling. It’s an odd phenomenon inspired by the much-disparaged, much-admired, newly-designated starting Denver Bronco quarterback, Tim Tebow.

It seems Tim has a rare quirk for an NFL player. He feels he should publicly kneel on one knee in prayer to thank God when he accomplishes great things. Other, growing, phenomena are Tebow fans who have taken to emulating his quirk and media criticism by people disturbed by his overt Christian religiosity.

Tim Tebow may be a fan fave but he isn’t exactly a big favorite in the politically-correct community mainstream media which seem very uncomfortable with the facts he’s an unreconstructed evangelical Christian who isn’t embarrassed to admit it and because he doesn’t fit the MSM mold.

From his glory days as a Florida Gator, there was just something about the 2007 Heisman Award winner that many in the PC sports media couldn’t quite articulate. Well, they could but doing so would out them as anti-Christian bigots and they couldn’t very well admit that. Beginning with complaints over his evangelizing habit of posting biblical verses in eye black, they adopted various subterfuges to ridicule him instead.

The Denver Post took an oblique swipe at the wildly popular Tebow in an article not devoted to the quarterback as much as to what it called, “Tebow Inc.,” the successful family enterprise which markets a variety of products from a Christian perspective but which, according to the Post, revolves around “All Tim, all the time.”

The Post strongly implied “Team Tebow” serves to gratify Tim’s ego as well as charitable beneficiaries and suggested Kyle Orton became the Bronco backup to Tebow due mainly to “Tebow Mania” and not to any of his debatable skills on the field.

Before the 2011 NFL season began, CBSSports.com’s Gregg Doyel became especially exercised over Tebow’s innocuous remark that, “I’m relying as always on my faith.” A paraphrase of the comment might be that he simply meant he’s a religious guy who counts on his religion to guide and inspire him.

Not so to Doyel, who contended he really liked Tebow personally and is himself a churchgoer and, without mentioning the kneeling prayer, interpreted that profession of faith as something that “baffles” him and clear evidence that Tebow was guilty of blasphemy, a contemptuous irreverence toward God.

Without evincing any affection or Christian charity, Doyel did show he fails to understand the sin of blasphemy or the quarterback . . .

Two Religions: Islam and Christianity

Religion is an enigmatic concept, a dangerous, formidable enigmatic concept.

Broadly defined as”any specific system of belief about deity, often involving rituals, a code of ethics, and a philosophy of life,” termed “the opium of the people” by the Communist, Karl Marx, no matter its definition or twisted interpretations by atheists, virtually every human being on the planet professes a belief in one form or another of religion.

Yet, religion is and seemingly always will be the root of conflict.

In the not too distant past, religion in America, notably Christian religion, was a fundamental staple of life, before the raging winds of cultural and political changes relegated the belief systems to politically incorrect scrapheaps amidst an increasing amoralism, secular humanism, irreligionism, and nihilism fostered by political and social leaders.

That societal change is rendered most portentous by the relatively recent revivification of one of the world’s most prominent religions, Islam, which, in the name of its faith and 1.2 to 1.6 billion Muslim adherents worldwide and 2.8 to 10 million Muslims in America, has declared jihad, a religious war or struggle by radical and committed Islamists against non-Islamists.

Put bluntly, we are at war and we could lose.

With America’s religious guard down, if not buried, Mohammed Atta’s last words before the horrifically successful attacks of 9/11, “Allāhu Akbar (الله أكبر),” may be taken as the battle cry of Islam’s ultimate intifada against the West and they are attacking when we are the least morally prepared. Allah may not be the greatest but our god has been forgotten, if not abandoned.

Advantage: Allah.

This is not to suggest, either, that war is ever good nor that our god is necessarily superior to their god, although our god and his earthly delegates have invariably preached and striven for the right and the just, even as we mortals have often failed in those quests.

On the other hand, conquest, and death, and war and repression have never been the teachings of Christianity. They have long been standard operating dogma for Islam as promulgated by its holy prophet Muhammad ibn ‘Abdullāh since the seventh century and they are proven routes to at least temporary victory.

Advantage: Muhammad.

Religion alone will not save and preserve America and Western civilization from the Muslim onslaught, . . .

2 Zealous Moms, 2 Education Travesties

A frustrated Ohio mom and a religious New Hampshire mother have discovered that educating kids isn’t as easy as it may seem.

Kelley Williams-Bolar was sent to jail by a judge because she wanted her kids to get a decent education and Brenda Voydatch’s child was sent to public school by a judge because she wanted to instill her faith in her daughter and home-teach her.

Aspiring teacher and current teacher aide Williams-Bolar was fed up with the atrocity which passes for public education in America and she did something about it: She cheated, lied and was caught.

Four years ago, frustrated with the poor education her daughters were receiving in her Akron neighborhood schools and fearful for their safety in her crime-plagued area after their home was burglarized, Williams-Bolar tried to scam the system. With the complicity of her father, she registered the girls in the nearby, highly-regarded Copley-Fairlawn School District.

The district hired a private investigator to look into her actual residence and determined that Williams-Bolar’s kids lived in Akron. After refusing to compensate Copley-Fairlawn by paying $30,000. in retroactive tuition, their mother was accused of falsifying records and filing false court papers and jailed for 10 days.

Few would fault Williams-Bolar for her motivations, protecting and educating her daughters. As she said, “It’s overwhelming. I’m exhausted. I did this for them, so there it is. I did this for them.” As Copley-Fairlawn officials said, she was cheating because her daughters received a quality education without paying taxes to fund it: “Those dollars need to stay home with our students.”

There’s a larger issue in all this, and that issue does not involve discrimination against Williams-Bolar and her daughters because they are black. Without specifically alleging bias, that implication was made by Williams-Bolar who claims she was “singled out,” a claim reinforced by a supporter and by the empathetic ABC News commentators.

In point of fact, some hundred other students were investigated and found to reside in other districts. Three families agreed to pay tuition to Copley-Fairlawn, others withdrew their kids, Williams-Bolar fought back and went to jail because of it.

The larger issue is the sorry state of Akron schools as well as many other inner-city schools which are so atrocious that parents resort to subterfuges and illegalities in order to get their children safely educated.

Brenda Voydatch encountered an entirely different, combined educational-judicial travesty. She didn’t want another school for eleven year old Amanda. She wanted to insure her daughter not only received an education but that it was a faith-based, Christian education . . .

Ya think President Barack Hussein Obama smells an election coming and knows his Dems just may suffer a historic defeat on November 2? I do.

I concluded an earlier article on Barack Obama’s new-found religiosity–and it’s NOT the Islamic religion, I’ll have you know!–with the following: ”The mainstream, the center, is the source of all good things for politicians and in that center are 225,000,000 American Christians. Obama is tracking in that direction and thinks he can go ‘a hundred miles an hour’ as long as he has his plastic Jesus on board.”

That was a reference to Obama’s semi-retreat on his earlier pronouncement to the Muslim world that America was not a Christian nation, his statement last month that the U.S. is “still predominantly Christian,” his packing up the family to attend services at St. John’s Episcopal on September 14th, and telling a New Mexico audience (71% Christian) how deeply influenced he was ”by the precepts of Jesus Christ.”

Back in the old days, circa 1971 A.D., Don Imus, pre-WFAN and pre- his “nappy-headed ho’s” scandal, had a song-shtick on his morning radio show which featured the “Reverend Billy Saul Hargis,” pastor of the First Church of the Gooey Death and Discount House of Worship.

In part, the lyrics were, “Well, I don’t care if it rains or freezes/Long as I have my plastic Jesus/Riding on the dashboard of my car./ I can go a hundred miles an hour/Long as I got the almighty power/Glued up there by my pair of fuzzy dice.”

As irreverent as those lyrics were, our president may have outdone them in irreverence. He’s glued his plastic Jesus up there next to his framed picture of himself.

The same man who proclaimed to the Muslim world that America was not a Christian nation seems to have experienced a Christian epiphany comparable to that of Saul of Tarsus. Okay, Obama wasn’t knocked off his high horse and wasn’t blinded by a light but he must have had a startling epiphany nevertheless since he finally “got religion,” and the Christian religion at that!

Not one to often darken the doorways of churches since he tossed his pastor of 20 years under a Greyhound, along with the Reverend Jeremiah “God Damn America” Wright’s Trinity United Church of Christ, Barack Obama has finally cleared the festering air as to whether he is a Muslim or a Christian: “President Obama took the issue of his faith head on Tuesday, telling residents in New Mexico that he is a ‘Christian by choice’ who came to religion later in life after being inspired by the teachings of Jesus Christ.”

Now, is that a heartfelt, sincere profession of Christian faith or what? . . .

Observations on . . . Mother Teresa

After spending a great deal of time on and devoting a good deal of space to the two previous subjects in this series on recent anniversaries, 2005’s devastating Hurricane Katrina and the world-changing 1963 “I Have a Dream” speech by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., I had looked forward to writing an innocuous, little piece on one of the two saints I have ever known.

Pope John Paul II was one, Mother Teresa was the other.


Not that I personally met with either the pope or the Catholic nun Agnes Gonxha Bojaxhiu, later to be known as Mother Teresa, but I felt that a few words commemorating the anniversary of her birth in Shkoder, Albania on August 26th, 1910 were in order.

Agnes’ middle name, Gonxha, meaning Rosebud, may be somewhat difficult to pronounce in English but this woman who committed herself at age 12 to a life of religious, missionary work for the Catholic Church led a life of service that wasn’t difficult to evaluate.

I had an old Irish Uncle Mike whom my son labelled a saint and he might indeed have been one. With Agnes Gonxha Boxahiu, there was far less doubt and following her death in 1997 at age 87 she was beatified, made blessed, on her path to sainthood by Pope John Paul II.

There is no need here to detail Mother Teresa’s life or contributions to humanity which were recognized even by the Nobel Peace Prize Committee which awarded her its Peace Prize in 1979.

What is almost as remarkable as her selfless, almost half-century devotion to the poorest of the poor, the sickest of the sick in India is the controversy even such a life could generate among people who have contended that Mother Teresa was a dishonest fraud and an evil, immoral individual. . .

Oh, great someone or something way up there high in the sky we ask your blessings. Amen.

That wasn’t precisely the prayer dictated by the Commonwealth of Virginia in 2008. In fact, no prayer was dictated but the tradition of permitting Virginia State Police chaplains to invoke the name of Jesus Christ was ended in favor of a non-denominational “prayer,” if it could be called a prayer, to be offered at all official police functions.

Favored by then-governor Tim Kaine (D), the new rule effectively ended a policy in place since the founding of the volunteer police chaplains organization in 1979. The old rule was just re-instituted by Republican Governor Bob McDonnell.

As a cocky college kid working part time, I once told a supervisor at Met Life who was letting a bunch of us go that I’d been fired from better jobs than this, which may or may not have been true.

Getting fired, canned, dismissed, discharged, terminated, let go from a job, part or full time, is often a shot to the ego and and the wallet. Today, especially, it’s no joking matter since decent positions are hard to come by.

Getting fired, etc. for your religious beliefs at any time is even less a subject for jocularity.

Even if you’re working at Home Depot, not the ultimate career for most people, but, hey, a job is a job and a buck is a buck, a guy shouldn’t expect to be sent packing for wearing a pin.

However, college kid/cashier Trevor Keezor was canned for his pin which read, “One nation under God, indivisible,” which happen to be words excerpted from the Pledge of Allegiance. Said pin also featured the American flag, which may have offended some illegals at his Okeechobee, Florida Home Depot.

He merely wanted to express his sense of patriotism and support for his brother, a National Guardsman who was scheduled for his second tour in Iraq next month.

No, no, no, said Home Depot. We will tolerate none of that folderol! We may (or may not) concur with your sentiments but trash the pin or you’re gone to the unemployment line!

Trevor chose unemployment over surrendering his constitutional rights and love of country, and his support for his brother.

Company spokesman Craig Fishel contended Keezor had violated company policy and the Home Depot dress code by sporting the pin, which Keezor had worn for a year and a half before anyone noticed, or cared, or complained.

Perhaps what really precipitated the kid’s dismissal was his recent habit of toting his Bible to work and reading it on his lunch hour.

Either way, Trevor’s gone and won’t be able to ever again pollute Home Depot with his patriotic and God-loving fervor.

The good news is that he plans to sue on the basis of religious discrimination. The bad news is that the ACLU effectively said, “Fat chance” since a private corporation such as Home Depot is within its rights to disregard an American’s right to free speech and worship: http://bit.ly/4pAx8s.

The title isn’t a reference to the Derby or the Preakness or the Belmont Stakes. It’s a reference to the annual Festival of Nativity Naysayers, aka the Feast of Christmas Humbuggers, aka the Holiday When Liberals Dump on Christians.

We’ve barely reached the pagan festival of Halloween but, never known as people who missed a chance to bash Christian beliefs, the Left is already up in arms over a 63-year Christmas tradition in Warren, Michigan.

They’re trying to ban the return of a creche scene to a public site where it has stood every year since 1945.

Perhaps emboldened by President Obama’s outrageous declaration that America is not a Christian nation and well aware it could never accomplish its goals by public referendum, the atheistic Freedom From Religion Foundation has filed suit in federal court to banish the creche.

The foundation’s basis? Why, the non-existent constitutional clause mandating a strict separation of church and state, of course.

A Homosexual Speaks Out!

In the interests of fairness and since I have recently been accused of being a “mother f****r,” a homophobe, a bigot, a hater, an ignoramus, a slanderer, and a closet homosexual, (See comments following “Day of Silence . . .” article, http://www.genelalor.com/blog1/?p=931#comment-1840), I hereby offer even more space for a supplementary rebuttal from a representative of the gay community.

Needless to say, I feel compelled to comment on the commentary by ladyblue999, to whom I shall refer as 999 for the sake of simplicity. First of all, for clarification, I believe 999’s title is a reference to gay youths, not young people in general, allegedly being killed by homophobia.

In the second sentence of her brief article, (assuming 999 is a “she,” something not always determinable among transgenders), 999 writes, “Amidst all this homophobic murder, . . .” Now, that’s confusing since one can’t distinguish whether 999 is referencing the “killing” in her title, which in itself is hyperbolic, or referring to actual murders of gays in our society. If the latter, then 999 is perpetuating a myth created by the LGBT Lobby that straights are roaming the landscape slaughtering homosexuals willy nilly, or even regularly.

Stuff happens, of course, and sometimes very evil “stuff” such as the murder of anyone for any reason, every instance of which should be condemned by all members of civilized society. However, if 999 is suggesting that instances of killing homosexuals by non-homosexuals even remotely approximates the reverse, i.e., gays murdering non-gays, she is a victim or a perpetrator of that manufactured fallacy.

Since this space was offered as an opportunity for 999 to speak out, I won’t belabor the point except to say that that fallacy goes back to the senseless murder in 1998 of Matthew Shepard by two degenerate cretins who, it has been proven, killed the Wyoming student not because he was gay but because they wanted to rob him. Gays, however, jumped on the case to advance their own causes even if their basic premise was flawed.
