Sharia, DOJ, Border, Cuban Surprises!
We all just love surprises, no? Well, most people seem to even if I don’t although I have to admit some surprises can be entertaining.
For instance, it came as a total surprise that Muslim Sharia law can supersede the Constitution in America. At least that’s the case with Hillsborough Circuit Judge Richard Nielsen in Tampa, Florida.
Judge Nielsen was all verklempt over a lawsuit against a local mosque, the Islamic Education Center of Tampa so what else could he do but conclude, ”This case will proceed under Ecclesiastical Islamic Law” to determine whether the mosque followed Koranic law in a matter involving an Islamic scholar: http://bit.ly/gtALT4
The mosque attorney made more sense than the judge when he said, “The mosque believes wholeheartedly in the Koran and its teachings. They certainly follow Islamic law in connection with their spiritual endeavors. But with respect to secular endeavors, they believe Florida law should apply in Florida courts.”
Makes sense to me. I mean, Tampa isn’t London.
Equally surprising, and galling, was the decision by Eric Holder’s Department of Justice to deny justice in school bullying situations–an area of law for which we are still searching for federal constitutional authority–toward straight white people. President Obama and AG Holder have already, repeatedly, demonstrated an antipathy toward white Americans and now have furthered that discrimination by vowing to apply federal law selectively.
They will “enforce federal laws that protect students from discrimination and harassment at school because of their race, national origin, disability, religion, and sex, including harassment based on nonconformity with gender stereotypes.” http://bit.ly/dE2r6H
If you’re some poor, normal white kid being harrassed, pummeled, discriminated against, you’re SOL. If you’re black, yellow, Kenyan, Buddhist, gay, transgendered, the feds have your back.
Another surprise, at least to our present government, is that all those millions of illegal aliens–sorry, undocumented, poor people . . .

Lies, Liars, and Incompetents
THE MOST EXPENSIVE JOBS IN HISTORY: We all want America’s unemployment rate to go down, right? We want it to decline even further than the administration’s reported–fabricated–February 8.9% number announced last week. The question remains as to what the nation can afford to spend in order to create jobs, and rosy statistics.
In an imaginative rhetorical flourish, President Obama’s economic wordsmiths long ago, as in two years, concocted a new employment term, “created and saved jobs,” a term as vague as it is unverifiable.
Allowing for estimates by the allegedly non-partisan Congressional Budget Office of somewhere between 1.3 and 3.5 million new jobs resulting from Obama’s American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, ARRA, “The Stimulus,” each of those positions cost a minimum, on average, $228,055 per, a rather hefty sum for taxpayers to lay out during a nasty recession for jobs that paid significantly less than $228,055 a year: http://tiny.cc/c0r5u
Even we who are admittedly math-challenged can see the absurdity there as well as we can see the complete and utter failure of Obama’s plan to jump-start the economy by exorbitantly spending monies the country doesn’t have to hype employment that, historically after downturns, has always increased on its own.
Not incidentally, the CBO also said it had been wrong in its original cost estimate for The Stimulus. Initially, the CBO estimated ARRA would cost a mere $787 billion. The CBO is now guessing $821 billion but what’s a piddling $34 billion to a people now on the verge of national bankruptcy?
Anyone still wonder why Americans neither believe nor trust government, especially when that government is controlled by Obamian-Alinsky socialists who would like nothing better than to plunge us into chaos and are presently peforming admirably in their quest for that goal?
MICHAEL MOORE INVADES MADISON: Less admirable if more prodigious is the figure of Michael Moore. Matching the girth if not the integrity of New Jersey’s Governor Chris Christie, Moore is a veritable caricature of the Hollywood liberal.
The bloated, hypocritical, leftist Moore not only revels in denigrating America but is so filled with venom and himself–and with the food provided by this hateful nation–that he can’t see the truth beyond his formidable belly. On the back of capitalism, he rose from obscurity and as a failed seminarian in Flint, Michigan to become our foremost celluloid critic of the capitalistic society that enabled him to spew his vitriol.
With formidable competition, Moore has risen to the top of the Hollywood hypocrite heap as spokesman for the downtrodden who sends his child to private schools, who resides in a million dollar Manhattan apartment, whose schlockumentaries are proven lies, and who throws tantrums when he doesn’t get his way, among other demonstrations of his infantilism. . . . It’s admirable Christian charity to feed the hungry and poor, no? Jesus Christ said as much on his Sermon on the Mount, no? Well, no, at least not in Houston.
There, ”Bobby and Amanda Herring spent more than a year providing food to homeless people in downtown Houston every day. They fed them, left behind no trash and doled out warm meals peacefully without a single crime being committed, Bobby Herring said.”
The Houston city fathers and mothers not only ”shut down their ‘Feed a Friend’ effort for lack of a permit. To rub salt into poor wounds, “city officials say the couple most likely will not be able to obtain one because “To get that permit, the food must be prepared in a certified kitchen with a certified food manager:” http://tiny.cc/9k1s2
Lesson learned: As per Marie Antonette, Let them eat cake! as long as the cake is baked in a Houston-approved bakery.
Not to be outdone in the Texas idiocy department, the Dallas and other Texas school districts have effectively and cravenly abnegated their responsibility to enforce discipline by converting recalcitrant elementary school kids into criminals.
A study has shown that, aided and abetted by the legal system, ”Young students, including a six year old in Dallas, received class C misdemeanor tickets for things like disrupting class, leaving school early and school yard brawls that didn’t include weapons. . . Today, airline pilot Chris Liu is deemed a threat, saw his home raided by the TSA and sheriffs, and had his badge, credentials and permit to carry a firearm revoked, all for revealing in YouTube videos “sensitive information” on the fraud that San Francisco International Airport calls its security system. Liu is still under investigation.
That system involves patdowns, metal detectors. naked body screening of airline passengers and airport employees but requires members of ground crews to simply smile and wave to TSA officials. That’s a tad oversimplified: They must also swipe their badges to access the tarmac and aircraft landing and taking off. Whether they carry weapons, bombs, or box cutters will never be known, unless they use one of those weapons, bombs, or box cutters to perpetrate a catastrophe.
Ground crews must have better unions than air travellers and other airport workers and must inherently pose less of a security risk than toddlers, old ladies or even pilots since Liu blowing that whistle was considered totally reprehensible, not to mention deeply embarrassing to SFO, to the Transportation Security Agency, and to the commander in chief, all of whom pride themselves on the superlative safety they have brought to air travel in America.
What a crock! As one observer re-phrased the new TSA motto: “If you see something, say something–unless it embarrasses the White House!” . . .

A Nation Defined and Defiled

Lady Liberty’s inscription in part reads,”Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free.” It makes no reference nor does it imply that illegal aliens, often reprobate aliens, are invited to join us in the ongoing, 221 year old experiment in liberty that is America.
Nevertheless, that invitation has been extended to virtually everyone on Planet Earth, including those misanthropic earthlings whose primary purpose in life is to destroy us. All we used to ask is that immigrants enter the country legally and abide by our laws. It was assumed they would learn our language and willingly assimilate into our culture.
Most people would call that immigration policy suicidal, especially when many sneak in, violate our laws, and reject our language and culture. The United States calls it multiculturalism, inclusion, anything other than an asinine, national suicide policy.
This week the laughable Department of Homeland Security’s U.S. Customs and Border Protection division, CBP, issued its annual report which included an admission that it has established “effective control” of only 873 miles of our 1,954 mile border with Mexico–and that’s an “improvement” over 2009! . . .

According to its own website, two of the missions of our Department of Homeland Security (DHS), head honchette, former Arizona Governor Janet Napolitano, is “Securing Our Borders” and “Enforcing Our Immigration Laws.”
That DHS has failed in both missions is apparent from the chaos that exists on our southern border where the flood of illegal and brazen immigrants continues unabated, border guards are assaulted and shot at, and crime is rampant in border states.
To compound that failure, Secretary Napolitano has now announced the surrender of the DHS.

You Go, Sheriff Joe!
Seldom does a local official have the testicular fortitude to stand up to the federal government when that government is acting wrongly.
Even more rarely does a local sheriff dare confront the feds when those feds blatantly and consistently fail to enforce federal laws and oppose the enforcement of Arizona laws passed to compensate for that failure.
Then, again, Sheriff Joe Arpaio of Arizona’s Maricopa County is a rara avis and not your typical local official.
Embattled and harassed for years over his penchant for law enforcement and his refusal to cave to Washington’s blind eye toward illegal immigration, Sheriff Joe also refuses to mollycoddle convicted felons.
He opts to treat them as what they are, namely convicted felons not entitled to kid gloves in his jail.
He once took flak for decking out his prisoners in pink. The soothing color may have offended the dignity of his inmates but served its purpose of soothing their tempers.
Ya got a problem with all that? So, too, does the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency which lauds itself as “a component of the Department of Homeland Security. . . whose mission is to protect national security by enforcing our nation’s customs and immigration laws.”
Nice, concise mission statement, ICE! Too bad you don’t abide by it and choose to ignore the massive influx of illegal aliens who for years have been flooding across America’s southern border and wreaking havoc on the populace with their guns and drugs.
Sheriff Joe is merely picking up your slack and doing what ICE is supposed to do.
“America’s toughest sheriff” has been the subject of a number of encomia on this blog, including, “Sheriff Joe Arpaio and His Enemies,” http://www.genelalor.com/blog1/?p=885, et al. and he’s under attack once again.
His offense? The same ol’, same ol’, i.e., doing his job to the best of his ability.
That embarrasses the Powers-that-Be . . .

Wascally Repubs, Cuckoo Conservatives, and Tea Parties
We can all rest just a tad easier tonight. Our DHS is on the alert!
Forget about bin Laden and radical Islamic terrorists. Disregard those millions of illegal aliens on our soil. Ignore Kim Jong-Il’s fireworks displays. Don’t worry about Muslim pirates on the high seas. Don’t sweat the Obamanians now in process of billing our grandkids for trillions of dollars for our profligate national debt. Homeland Security Chieftess, Janet Napolitano and her minions at the Department of Homeland Security advise that the chief threat to that security is none of the above. Rather, it’s those wascally Wepublicans and cuckoo conservatives we have to watch out for!
They say timing is everything in comic delivery but the timing of Chieftess Janet’s warning hit the wires the day before the First Annual National Tea Party to protest our Democratic government’s ongoing efforts to bankrupt the nation is anything but comical. It’s more akin to a threat against law-abiding American patriots by our duly elected and appointed government.
That veiled threat actually came in an April 7th letter issued by the DHS to federal, state and local police thoughout the country to be on the alert for radical “right-wing extremists,” including [maniacal] vets returning from war after valiantly serving America, the jobless driven to desparation [by George W. Bush], the homeless [thown out of their McMansions by that same Bush], and [anti-Semitic Jewish] investors furious over being scammed by Bernie Madoff.
