Your Governments in Action, Part Two

Your Governments in Action, Part Two

. . . It’s admirable Christian charity to feed the hungry and poor, no? Jesus Christ said as much on his Sermon on the Mount, no? Well, no, at least not in Houston.

There, ”Bobby and Amanda Herring spent more than a year providing food to homeless people in downtown Houston every day. They fed them, left behind no trash and doled out warm meals peacefully without a single crime being committed, Bobby Herring said.”

The Houston city fathers and mothers not only ”shut down their ‘Feed a Friend’ effort for lack of a permit. To rub salt into poor wounds, “city officials say the couple most likely will not be able to obtain one because “To get that permit, the food must be prepared in a certified kitchen with a certified food manager:” http://tiny.cc/9k1s2

Lesson learned: As per Marie Antonette, Let them eat cake! as long as the cake is baked in a Houston-approved bakery.

Not to be outdone in the Texas idiocy department, the Dallas and other Texas school districts have effectively and cravenly abnegated their responsibility to enforce discipline by converting recalcitrant elementary school kids into criminals.

A study has shown that, aided and abetted by the legal system, ”Young students, including a six year old in Dallas, received class C misdemeanor tickets for things like disrupting class, leaving school early and school yard brawls that didn’t include weapons. . . Over the course of five years, more than 1200 elementary students in DISD received a ticket:” http://tiny.cc/3wkso

Even worse, . . .

Update on the New Black Panther Party

Update on the New Black Panther Party

I thought it was curious that the lone New Black Panther Party member who showed up outside a North Philadelphia polling place on Election Day didn’t cause any trouble.

His very presence, standing where he shouln’t have been standing, proudly displaying his NBPP badge and distributing Democrat propaganda in violation of electioneering laws, may have been intimidating but at least there were no billy clubs in sight, no quasi-military uniforms, no overt intimidation of white voters like the New Black Panthers engaged in two years ago.

Since posting my article yesterday, “They’re Baaack!,” (http://tiny.cc/heb9f), that Philly Panther has been identified as none other than Jerry Jackson, one of the defendants in the voter intimidation case thrown out by Obama’s Attorney General. Apparently, he had been dispatched to do his Panther thing on the east coast while others of his ilk went elesewhere.

It turns out the Panthers had simply diverted some of their forces, following Horace Greeley’s suggestion to ”Go west, young man!” and headed to Houston in the great state of Texas and ignoring Texas’ unofficial state motto, “Don’t Tread on Me!” They tread and didn’t tread lightly on Election Day in Houston.

According to an article by J. Christian Adams, the highly-respected Department of Justice attorney who exposed the rampant black racism at the DoJ last summer, members of the NBPP committed “outrageous violations of Texas voting law” yesterday. . .

Teachers Who Cheat

Teachers Who Cheat

It’s bewildering why the powers-that-be are all in a dither over the revelation that teachers have been cheating on state achievement tests in Texas. Teachers have been cheating almost as much as kids from time immemorial.

The mandates of NCLB, President George W. Bush’s program of No Child Left Behind, have been roundly castigated but not seriously challenged by any state although the pressures of the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 have been a burden for almost a decade on educators and students, as they should be, a burden in the sense of greater emphasis on actually educating children.

In some districts, because of NCLB, salary raises and sometimes tenure are predicated on teacher–and administrative–performance determined through student scores on standardized tests.

Apparently, some teachers–and administrators–have succumbed under the pressure. . .
