We all know that former President George W. Bush is the cause of all the ills plaguing America, right? After all, our current president, Barack Hussein Obama, has said so, repeatedly if sometimes indirectly.

However, are Americans aware that Vice President Joe Biden has exonerated Bush, casting considerable doubts on carefully-cultivated conventional liberal-Democrat wisdom?

VP Biden recently undercut his boss’s tired, old economic mantra of “Bush did it,” that GWB is responsible for everything from failed banks to high unemployment to the plunging stock market, as well as for chaos in American schools, rioting in the streets and, probably, for too many fat kids eating Twinkies instead of watercress wraps.

Loose lips may have sunk Allied ships in WWII and it may be too much to hope that loosey-goosey Biden sank Obama with his remarks last week that the albatross of America’s miserable economy should be removed from Bush 43 and hung around his boss’s neck.

More precisely, the vice president, known for speaking his mind even when there’s nothing in it, said, “Right now, understandably–totally legitimate–this [Election 2012] is a referendum on Obama and Biden and the nature of the state of the economy.”

Memories can be strange things which we understandably repress or reduce to selective memory when the conscious thought is too disturbing to dwell on.

For many, thoughts of the events of September 11th, 2001 are, 8 1/2 years later, still too emotional and horrifying to be allowed regular admission to our consciousness.

Yet, they must not be relegated to distant memory lest by doing so we again let down our guard, either individually or collectively, and invite a repetition of that day.

We were 600 miles away from Ground Zero on 9/11, a very safe distance except for the facts our grown kids were in the New York City area and our son was working on 58th Street, less than 4 short miles away and close enough to witness the surrealistic collapse of the World Trade Center towers.

Some wounds never heal, surreal or not.

Fifth in a continuing series on former President George W. Bush and his responsibility for all of Obama’s gaffes, failures, and stupidity, for all the evils in the world including tooth decay, hemorrhoids, and Iran, and for all that goes bump in the night.

Ok, now here’s the scenario and it’s a bit convoluted and hard to follow–and swallow–but try to keep up.

Much of the country has been enduring a brutal winter with record-setting snowfalls in Washington, Baltimore, Chicago, and other cities and states–and it’s all the fault of George W. Bush. As always.

Liar, Liar, Obama Pants on Fire

Google “Bush lies” and you get less than 3 million links. Google “Obama lies” and you get some 30 million links. What does that tell us? Nothing, and everything, about the nature and veracity of President Barack Hussein Obama.

Thirty million sources for information on the inaccuracies, distortions, misstatements, and outright, bald-faced prevarications could simply reflect the level of prevailing antipathy toward our forty-fourth president. Three million for Bush could just mean people are bored with George W.

Or it could mean Barack Obama in his brief public career has lied ten times more than George W. Bush. I imagine the lying truth about Obama is somewhere in between.

That would still suggest he has been caught in lies to the American people in the course of twelve years and five months as Illinois state senator, U.S. Senator, and President at least five times more often than Bush over his sixteen years as Texas governor and president.

That, of course, is a gross over-simplification and, obviously, not a scientific conclusion due to a number of variables, not the least of which is that boredom, the existing level of Obamian dislike and distrust, and the fact the current chief executive has published two books to Bush’s none.

It’s far easier to pinpoint lies on the printed page than it is to cull un-truths from speeches and statements over the course of years. Then, again, it was easy enough for bloggers and others to blabber their inanities about “Bush lies,” without ever backing up that slander.

Nevertheless, 30 million or 15 million are prodigious numbers and a fair indicator that where there are smoke, and mirrors, there very well could be substance.

Various websites have catalogued and enumerated what could easily be gathered into another lengthy book. Maybe title it, The Audacity of Lies or Lying Dreams from My Father, My Prevaricating Mentor.

Included among those sites is one which numbers 158 whoppers but, in fairness to Obama, . . .

OBAMA'S FRIENDS

THE INAUGURATION PART IV: What You Won’t Read and See on the MSM
Before we’re all caught up in the heady thrill–and propaganda–of the inauguration and the new administration, some perspective is in order. I’ve seen and read articles that are so effusive over Obama and this Age of Change that I was beginning to wonder if I watched a different inauguration and whether all I know about the true Obama and his Obamaniacs was misconstrued.

Then I regained my senses and realize it is not. (See the 50 or 60 previous articles on him on this site.) I’ve seen the man–and he is just a mortal man, contrary to widely reported information–a man extolled for his countless virtues, his elegance, his unflappable demeanor, even for his handwriting skills by Wolf Blitzer.

However, behind the facade, behind that screen, is simply a man, a flawed man like all of us, and his true skills or lack thereof will be seen even on the world stage soon enough. As of now, barely 24 hours into his reign, he can only be judged by his administrative designations and by his executive orders which suggest he has not fully thought through his decisions, (Gitmo), but will follow through on his planned policies to make free and unfettered abortion the law of the land: http://www.lifenews.com/nat4559.html.

Considering the limitations imposed by a paltry day as opposed to the lengthy four which lie ahead, all we have with which to gain a measure of Obama, (aside from his recorded history, of course), is his friends and his supporters. If in any way we are known by the friends we keep, Obama’s friends give cause for trepidation.

One group of friends, (May we call them FOB for Friends of Barack?), was gathered on the Washington Mall as still-President George W. Bush arrived at the inauguration on Tuesday. GAY WATCH

GAY WATCH: GWB, THE POPE, U.N., OBAMA

It never seems to end.

I’m not referring to the Governor Blago–Chicago–Obama–Rezko affair(s), which won’t end for months and which may be concluded with more resignations and indictments than just Illinois Governor Blagojevich’s.

I refer to Gays in the News.

First, we have the LGBT set, (that’s the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgendered set, for those not in the know), which is up in arms over President Bush’s and America’s silence on the U.N.’s statement calling for decriminalization of homosexuality.

It has not yet been set in stone, but the United States is the only Western nation that has not endorsed the proposal: http://www.advocate.com/news_detail_ektid68209.asp.

The entire European Union is on board but some 80 or 86 other nations still regard homosexual activities to be illicit and 5 impose the death penalty for such intercourse. One gay activist stated, “Washington will lose ever more respect and credibility if it fails to endorse this statement of support for LGBT human rights.”

This “gay friendly” website, http://mwcnews.net/content/view/27122&Itemid=1, points out that the only nation in the Middle East that supports a U.N. declaration is Israel.

I say kudos to Bush and our United Nations team. I think executing gays for acting out sick, gay behavior is extreme and unjust but I also think we shouldn’t endorse such perversity.

Second is this story about the Vatican’s opposition to that same U.N. declaration which, in effect, declares that homosexuality is fine and dandy and which opposition gays consider “grotesque”: http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,464245,00.html.

With that disapproval, Pope Benedict XVI and the Vatican are simply adhering to time-honored and Biblical proscriptions against the “abomination” that is homosexuality.

Times may change and agitators may agitate but if the Church ever becomes influenced to change its fundamental precepts by changing times and protests it will no longer be the Catholic Church. It will become the equivalent of Imus’ “First Church of the Gooey Death and Discount House of Worship.”

In that eventuality, the Catholic Church will not deserve to survive so I therefore accord encouragement, and more kudos, to my Church.
