Senator Burris’ Conflict with the Constitution
Democratic Party hack Roland Burris, (D-Il) who got his job as a United States senator as a result of disgraced governor Blago’s greed and because of the color of his skin, made a profound observation on Obamacare’s mandated health insurance.
Sen. Burris, a constitutional ignoramus, “pointed to the part of the Constitution that he says authorizes the federal government ‘to provide for the health, welfare and the defense of the country.’ “
Advised in an October 21st interview with CNS that the word “health” appears nowhere in the Constitution, Bumbling Burris, an over-achiever if there ever was one, blustered, “That’s under the Constitution. We’re not even dealing with any constitutionality here.”
Excuse me?
Burris then rambled on about private options, yada, yada, yada, and resorted to the Democrat default position by dredging up a number constantly in flux: ”We’ve got the 48 million people who are without it. [health insurance]”
Disregarding the fact that his number is baloney . . .

Health Care News and Horrors
Health Care News and Horrors
The BIG Push is on! The obamanetworks, the obamamedia, and the obamablogosphere are all out there “explaining” and exposing the “myths” of Obamacare to the ignorant peasantry to save national healthcare and Obama’s presidency and legacy.
AARP is into the fray big time and its September issue of the AARP Bulletin features no less than 5 articles on Obamacare, including a 4000 word, 3 page spread entitled, “The Hype, the Lies, the Facts,” according to the AARP.
As we wait expectantly on the eve of Obama’s much-anticipated, prime time Obamacare address to both houses of congress and to the nation, it’s worthwhile to review some recent healthcare news.
The underlying precept of any socialist society or socialistic enterprise is that government knows best. When it comes to Obamacare, a young, healthy, and independent sort who, for whatever reason, feels he or she doesn’t want health insurance, tough!
In a free society one should be free to make that call, no? Well, yes and no.
Implicit in Obamacare is the philosophy that we’re too ignorant to make that decision. Therefore, you would be “free” to opt out but you’ll have to pay for that privilege, pay up to $3800 in fines, per annum, to Washington to be precise: http://bit.ly/QP5OF.
Those charges would be contrary to candidate Obama’s pledge not to impose fines on recalcitrants. However, what’s a pledge when the nation’s well-being is at stake?
It’s understandably a healthcare newsy kind of time.
House GOP Leader John Boehner puts the lie to Obama’s expressed wish for bi-partisanship in passing the most significant legislation in decades. TheHill.com is reporting that Boehner says the president hasn’t met with GOP leaders in over 4 months to discuss “common ground” on healthcare: http://bit.ly/2hmHw.
The fix is obviously in. The ploy of “reconciliation,” a misnomer for shoving a bill through congress without debate or opposition input, will undoubtedly be invoked in order to pass Obamacare with 51 rather that 60 votes in the Senate.
Meanwhile, Obama’s numbers continue their freefall into oblivion. Disapproval on his handling of the health issue has risen from 43% to 52% since July, a figure complemented by a fall of 7 percent in his overall approval rating in that same period: http://bit.ly/zKaIV
His only chance to apply the skids is to get some form of Obamacare passed and fast and then move on to trying his hand at governing rather than campaigning. Regrettably, Americans have short memories and people won’t wake up to the full impact until after the 2010 and, hopefully, the 2012 elections.
Across the Pond in Merry Ol’ England, they’ve been waking up for a good while now as to the horrors of their vaunted NHS, the UK’s National Health Service. . . .

I'm from the Government and I'm Here to Help."
“I’m From the Government and I’m Here to Help.”
Dateline: April 30th, 2016
Freddy the Fly on the Wall remembers this scene well and, amazingly, was able to type it all out.
Mrs. Jane Average, age 84, was sitting alone with her cat, Boots, in her darkened living room on a pretty spring day in April, 2016. For the past few years, Jane had found that bright lights hurt her aged, weary eyes.
The doorbell rang. She slowly got to her aching feet and made her way toward the door and opened it to find her smiling, young, new physician, Dr. Leon Jones, on her doorstep.
“Hello, Jane! How are you?”
She had never liked him ever since she had been forced into Obamacare after Metlife had raised her private insurance rates and thereby made government insurance mandatory.
However, being a refined lady to the end, she feigned pleasantry and said, ”Dr. Jones! This is a surprise! I didn’t know you were making house calls now.”
“Well, Jane, my office left a number of messages on your machine but you never called back. There are some things I have to talk to you about.”
“Well, Doctor, you know I usually can’t get to the phone on time and I find it difficult seeing the numbers so I don’t make many calls. But, do come in. I can’t imagine what’s so important that you had to come all the way over here, but come in!”
She tottered over to her favorite chair and gingerly sat down. “Please sit. Ever since my last, umm, problem, which you said wasn’t all that bad, I always seem tired. Sit.”
“Jane, that’s really what I wanted to talk to you about.”
“Oh, so you think I really should have the surgery?”
“No, no, no. I wouldn’t want to put you through all the pain and discomfort of another surgery. In fact, just the opposite.”
“I’m confused, Doctor, why are you here?”
“Umm, Jane, well you do know about the provision in the 2009 Health Care Law . . .”
“I know, I know, you explained all that in the chat we had just last year. I made my will and I have my living will and proxies and all those things you insisted I get. You said we wouldn’t have to talk about all that stuff for another 5 years.”
“No, Jane, I was referring to the provision, they call it, I think it’s in section 1233, the part that deals with what they call “Advance Care Planning Consultation. " . . .

Fear and Loathing in D.C.
Can Ya Smell the Fear? Fear and Loathing in D.C.
“Fear is an emotional response to threats and danger. It is a basic survival mechanism occurring in response to a specific stimulus, such as pain or the threat of pain . . . Fear should be distinguished from the related emotional state of anxiety, which typically occurs without any external threat. Additionally, fear is related to the specific behaviors of escape and avoidance, whereas anxiety is the result of threats which are perceived to be uncontrollable or unavoidable:” Wikipedia.
Fear also triggers the age-old dilemma of whether to strike out or to hightail it to safer environs, the fight or flight option.
Congressional Dems evidently have chosen to strike out and fight on the Obamacare debacle, although their fighting methods are more akin to those of a 6 year old girl who chooses to strike back by screaming hysterical lies rather than directly confronting the opposition.
Wikipedia distinguishes between fear and anxiety but there really isn’t much difference with the Democrats on this issue: Their only external threat is truth and honesty and both terrify them. Admixed with a distinct loathing for conservative principles, it’s a potent combination.
I’ve seen videos of a number of those townhall-type meetings that reflected a genuine concern and, yes, outright disgust and deep angst on the part of the citizenry. The attendees, too, are fearful but not afflicted with baseless anxiety.
See a few relevant videos here http://bit.ly/2f8nAG, here http://bit.ly/194wyZ, here http://bit.ly/ICP8A, and here http://bit.ly/108jlE.
Their fear, anger, and disgust are well-founded in the belief that governmental nitwits will soon be determining what health care they get and, literally, deciding whether it’s their time to shuffle off this mortal coil.
Liberals are many things but, usually, not stupid. It will be a long, hot August for them if they continue to allow popular dissent.
Those townhalls will soon devolve into . . .

Seniors, Shoes, Panthers, and Clunkers
News Tidbits: Seniors, Shoes, Panthers, and Clunkers
Little did we know when Barack Obama promised change we could believe in that the changes he envisioned would lead to fewer senior citizens, more freedom for convicted terrorists, Black Panthers protecting voters, and vehicular Nirvana.
Government Speak: Some cynics believe governments regularly either lie to the citizenry or so shade the truth that we have no idea what the hell they’re talking about. Then the hoi polloi usually give up trying to understand what the hell they’re talking about. Mission accomplished.
With the present administration, most thinking people have arrived at the conclusion that virtually everything spouted by the Obamanians has as much relevance to actual truth as calling cops stupid.
Such is the case with “health care reform,” which is Orwellian in an of itself but now they’ve thrown in a sweetener– or sour-er, depending on your point of view.
When we age, as lucky people do, Americans tend to need more medical care, and more medical-specialist care, care for which we pay insurers for years when we’re younger and most of us rarely use. Obama’s med scheme is proposing a great leap forward to deal with the older folk.
Rather than elders cluttering up hospitals and nursing homes or falling dead on the streets, they’ll be shipped off to warehouses where the order of the day will be that verbotten word, rationing.
Oh, they won’t call them warehouses and they certainly won’t call it rationing. Such nomenclature would be far too close to the truth. They’re calling the warehouses ”medical homes” for the elderly and disabled and rationing health care will more properly be termed cancelling health care.
The medicine will be government-allotted, or denied, in these warehouses medical homes and there won’t be a doctor in sight. As for medical specialists, don’t be absurd! (http://bit.ly/46SlUL)
Nurses and physician assistants will be on hand, however, most of whom probably flunked out of nursing or P.A. schools but that doesn’t matter. Their principal duty will be tying those toe tags on bodies.
Complementing the warehouse scheme, seniors are not included on the priority list for swine flu innoculations, which will save even more money by necessitating fewer warehouses when they bite the dust next flu season.
I have a far more effective plan: When someone hits 70 or so or breaks a hip or suffers dementia, why not have a government functionary take us out in a field or a Jersey swamp and shoot us?
Hey, it worked for Tony Soprano when he needed to whack an inconvenient associate!
. Shoe Bomber’s Prison Jihad: You may recall the Brit Richard Reid, aka Abdul Raheem, who had to be the dumbest and most inept terrorist in history. He looked every bit the moron that he was He was the nut who tried to blow up himself and American Airlines flight 63 on December 22, 2001 with a detonator in his shoe.
He had trouble lighting a match.
Reid/Raheem was a failed 9/11 terrorist as well and is now serving a life sentence in the max-security federal facility in Florence, Colorado where he feels neglected.
Thanks to his American jihadist lawyers and the complicit Obama administration, and following an unfortunately-unsuccessful hunger strike, he is demanding his “rights” to hang with his jihadist buddies and practice his religion: http://bit.ly/bH7uJ.
What rights a murderous animal deserves eludes me but it does not elude sensitive Obamanians.
The Bush Justice Department advised Reid that he could stick his complaints where the sun don’t shine. The much more merciful and indulgent Obama administration in essence felt Reid’s pain and granted his request.
Now, much to their delight, shoe-bomber Reid will be able to continue jihading with other terrorist reprobates in prison. With any luck for him, they will be smarter than he is.
Is life good for Barack Hussein Obama jihadists or what? http://bit.ly/46SlUL

President Obamabortion
President Obamabortion: Turn in Your Consciences!
America’s president breaks new ground virtually every day. Now, his shovel is digging away, chipping away in the ground of that quality which distinguishes people from all other species on the planet, humankind’s sense of conscience.
Many beasts of the Earth are more powerful than humans, many are faster, more ravenous. To PETA people, denizens of the animal world are better than we and maybe more attractive and intelligent than we are. However, as far as I know, even PETA does not attribute to animals the element of conscience.
Merriam-Webster defines the word as “the sense or consciousness of the moral goodness or blameworthiness of one’s own conduct, intentions, or character together with a feeling of obligation to do right or be good.”
In his effort to abort as many pre-born babies as possible, the most avidly pro-abortion president in America’s history is in process of amending that definition. In effect, he is adding to that sense of “moral goodness” and “obligation to do right or be good” the limitation, “except when Mr. Obamabortion dictates otherwise.
Personally, I don’t like “holier than thou” types, professional do-gooders who seek self-agrandizement more than true goodness and I certainly don’t hold myself out as an exemplar of a perfect morality. However, what I truly detest is anyone who seeks to impose no options but evil options on decent people.
Such is the aim of the abortion lobby, Department of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius, and President Obamabortion.
As with most political activists and politicians, they try to cloak their actual intent with ambiguity and obfuscate that intent with misleading rhetoric and false promises.
Thus, when Sec. Sebelius says that the president “supports existing federal laws that prevent federally funded health care providers from forcing doctors and pharmacists who morally oppose abortion from either performing the procedure or providing abortion-inducing medication,” she is out and out lying. . . .
