The States of Maine and Marriage

The States of Maine and Marriage

Two widely disparate topics, Maine and marriage, may be more closely related than appears at first glance. They are linked by payoffs.

The state of Maine, not usually in the news this time of year for anything other than what its RINO Republicans are up to in Washington or record cold snaps, has gained a new distinction as the first state to win an Obamacare waiver from HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius.

Maine thus joins an increasingly unselective group of 1,040–as of Thursday–including McDonalds, the Service Employees International Union, Teamsters, UFCW, Steelworkers, Communications Workers of America, United Federation of Teachers, public sector unions, and numerous local school disricts encompassing 2.5 million Americans–as of Thursday.

Maine and the other elites are exempted from the onerous and expensive regulations imposed on the rest of us schleps, which onerousness and expense increase with every new waiver since the whole concept of Obamacare was predicated on sharing the costs. The fewer the participants, which numbers shrink with every waiver, the higher their costs.

As always with this administration, there’s a proffered excuse, in the case of the Pine Tree State, a threat by a major insurer, MEGA Life and Health, to “withdraw from the market altogether if the federal requirement remained in place:” http://tiny.cc/91ftl

The unannounced threat posed by many of the other exemptees, and virtually all of the waivered unions, is to withdraw from supporting Obama in 2012. No fool he, the president knows where his bread is buttered and where his political contributions come from. He took the state in ’08 with 57.71% of the vote, a difference of 126,650 votes.

The president also knows who won’t be sending him big bucks . . .

Senate Censorship and the New Black Panther Party

Senate Censorship and the New Black Panther Party

The chronically dysfunctional United States Senate, formerly “the world’s greatest deliberative body,” and the House of Representatives, have devolved into ultra-exclusive clubs for Democrats where Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi conduct business and wield power as if they are blind, partisan tools of the autocratic Obama regime.

Cesar Chavez, the Castro Duet, and every other world despot would be so very proud.

Acting like a rubber stamp for Obama, the Senate has adopted a policy of shutting out Republican input, such as during the long, volatile health care debate and more recently with the unemployment extension, and then brazenly denouncing the GOP for obstructionism.

Vermont’s Senator Pat Leahy is the latest to demonstrate that we are now living with a government of, by, and for the Democrats who have as much respect for the American people as they do for the loyal opposition which, when they were in control, often chose bi-partisanship over strictly one-party rule.

Fools.

Leahy, Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, last week attempted to squelch and censor further inquiry into the mushrooming scandal surrounding Eric Holder’s Justice Department, the black racist New Black Panther Party, and the dropping of the virtually air-tight case of voter intimidation against the NBPP by the Obama-Holder DOJ. . .

Racism at the DOJ Part Three

Racism at the DOJ Part Three

Malik Zulu Shabazz may have been the New Black Panther thug who said to a white observer outside a Philadelphia polling place on November 4th, 2008, “Now you see what it’s like to be ruled by the black man, cracker!”

Shabazz could only hope but he hadn’t seen nothin’ yet, cracker!

His fondest wishes came true when, with his help, a fellow black man became president and named another black man, Eric Holder, to run America’s Justice Department.

Methinks yo’ ain’t seen nothin’ yet, Shabazz, to gladden the hearts of black racists everywhere.

Former election lawyer in the Civil Rights section of the DOJ, J. Christian Adams, a longtime employee of the Justice Department and a man with a conscience, testified before the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights that, in essence, Attorney General Holder’s department was a black racist entity that would only enforce civil rights laws against white people. . .

Racism at the DOJ Part Two

Racism at the DOJ Part Two

“The Bush Civil Rights Division was willing to protect all Americans from racial discrimination; during the Obama years, the Holder years, only some Americans will be protected. Americans have a right to know and judge the racial policies of the administration they elected in 2008.”

Those are the words of someone who should know, a fellow by the name of J. Christian Adams who served as an election lawyer in the Civil Rights section of the Department of Justice for many years, until he witnessed what to a dedicated lawyer was a subversion of justice.

That subversion related to various cases the Obama/Holder DOJ has mishandled and especially the case of the New Black Panthers and the undisguised–and official–favoritism being extended to black defendants by our new Department of Justice.

In a resignation letter dated May 14, 2010 Adams cited the merits . . .
