. . . In the jaded twenty-first century, there’s little chance of another Mr. Smith going to Washington and exposing the inherent evil in America’s capital by exposing himself or herself to character assassination. Any thinking individual would consider what has been done and is in process of being done to Sarah Palin, Michelle Bachmann, et al. and do a re-think.
Even worse, the motivations of the current assassins aren’t financial gain which can be remedied by pay-offs. Their motivations are more akin to sedition for which there is no easy remedy.

The Prevailing Disparity Between the Number of Horse's Asses and the Number of Horses
When there’s a top, there’s always a bottom. When there’s a beginning, there’s always an ending. When there’s a horse, there’s always one horse head and one horse derriere–except that sometimes there are more horse’s asses than there are horses, an odd but all too frequent confluence of improbabilities which seems more prevalent today than usually.
One instance proving the existence of such an improbability is occurring out in Apple Valley, Minnesota where Alicia and Peter Arnold are seeking input via an online poll of the world at large, from strangers and fellow kooks, on whether the couple should keep their 17-week pre-born baby or whether they should terminate its life.
Alicia explained the Twin City suburbanites’ motivation: “We wanted to give people a chance to voice their opinions in a real situation where it makes a difference.” Still recovering from her third miscarriage, she added,”I wanted to wait longer because I was losing weight and living a healthier lifestyle. I wasn’t sure what to do.”
The obvious solution for the Arnold dilemma was to ask a million or so strangers “what to do.”

When Lincoln concluded the Gettysburg Address with the stirring words, “this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom–and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth,” he could never have envisioned Nancy Pelosi.
We still have a nation even if God has been banished from the public forum and we still have some freedoms left despite efforts by Congress and the president to deny them.
However, Abe’s dream that our government would always be of, by, and for the people took another shot to the solar plexus in Washington today.
Nancy Pelosi’s health care bill, is a monstrosity in every sense of the word. . . .

Minnesotans, this is your new senator!
“Nobody ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the American public.”
Truer words were never spake nor writ than that cynical observation of H.L. Mencken. The good citizens and the Supreme Court of the State of Minnesota confirmed their truth by electing and confirming Al Franken, aka Stuart Smalley, as United States Senator.
I had hoped and thought it was some judicial mistake or a reporting error but then I read it on USA Today so, regrettably, it can’t be an error even if the ruling was a gross miscarriage of justice: http://www.usatoday.com/news/nation/2009-06-30-franken-senate_N.htm?csp=34
He’s just what the senate and the nation need in these critical times, an unfunny clown to complement the executive branch’s entry for the nation’s most outstanding circus performer, Joe Biden.
Lackluster, talentless comic, tireless abuser of American values, failed left wing radio talk show host Franken will represent Minnesota for the next six, long years in the hallowed hall of the “world’s greatest deliberative body,” thereby proving that H.L. Mencken was indeed a prophet in his own land.
When Democrat Franken first announced he would make a run for the senate seat then held by Republican Norm Coleman, it was widely assumed to be another joke by the media-hungry Franken but it turned out he was being serious for a change.
It was in fact a joke, a bitter jest that he would think himself qualified to be a United States Senator and believe Minnesotans would elect him.
The joke appears to be on us scoffers following months of recounts, protests, and Democratic Party chicanery that would have made Chicagoans proud. Their fellow midwesterners showed that dirty politics and ballot stuffing were not exclusive to Illinois and that the ”Land of 10,000 Lakes” could be as dumb and corrupt as they.

We the People Are Getting Screwed! (VIDEO)
This 6+ minute YouTube video is a relative oldie–as in 2 or 3 months–but still very much a goody.
It deals with the ongoing D.C., American, Obamian fiscal disaster although, oddly, it gives Obama a free ride on our economic trainwreck. What’s most chilling is that it pre-dated some of the more recent Washington fiscal madnesses.
In other words, things are much worse in mid-June than they were 3 months ago.
Entitled, “We the People Stimulus Package,” it’s worth a look and a re-look.
Watch it, hear it, and weep. After weeping, Do Something About it!
It arrived as an email with this note:
This guy’s video on youtube has been so popular that Obama
called him personally. He said that he was very disturbed with the video and
invited him to the White House. Obama also said he wanted the White House to
handle the Press and not to talk about the video or the White House visit.
That’s interesting.

your future
