Crazy and Crazier
The word “crazy” may be one of those pejorative but vivid descriptions such as “stupid,” “queer,” and “idiot” which are verboten by the PC Police but for which the English language cries out as needed and proper. There are, of course, levels of crazy and applying the word does involve a degree of subjectivity but some situations and people can be described in no better way.
Take Massachusetts and its health care insurance reform of 2006. Proposed by then-Governor Mitt Romney, a presumptive Republican presidential candidate in 2012, the program is a semi-disaster much like Britain’s venerable, bankrupt National Health Service. Yet both systems were used as models for Obamacare.
The latest medical news from the Bay State is foreboding.
In the midst of a nationwide physician shortage which is expected to grow worse after Obamacare is fully implemented in 2014 as fearful doctors leave the profession or take early retirement, Massachusetts is leading the way and foreshadowing the medical futures of most Americans. We must say most because the Democrat congress that enacted the Obamacare monstrosity and hundreds of unions and favored institutions are exempted from its strictures.
Meanwhile, up in Romneyland, where the former governor exploded health care demands with so-called universal coverage, “by cracking down on insurance premiums, Massachusetts pushed insurers to reduce their payments to providers, making it less worthwhile for doctors to expand their practices. As a result, the average wait to get an appointment with a doctor grew from 33 days to over 55 days:” http://bit.ly/lJJZtK
As that report by Fox News concludes, ”Promising universal health coverage is easy. But what does universal coverage mean if you can’t actually see a doctor?” Good point, Fox! Is it any wonder Obama hates them? They tell the truth.
Demonstrating that craziness is not confined to the Bay State and D.C., the IFC, a branch of the World Bank, both of which are largely funded by American taxpayers, approved “a $26 million loan to build a luxury hotel in Ghana . . .

The Fine Art of Obamacare Obfuscation
The Fine Art of Obamacare Obfuscation
Even though it’s the best on the planet, an excellent case can be made for the existence of weaknesses in America’s health care system. When everyone from potentates to average joes still travel to the U.S. for state of the art treatment, we must be doing something very right, which is not to say the system is flawless.
It’s expensive, overloaded with paperwork and fraught with serious issues but few sick people go out of their way to go to places such as Great Britain to seek treatment in that country’s bankrupt, socialistic National Health Service, the Obamacare model.
It was those issues, a cooperative press, and majorities in both houses of congress that enabled Democrats to ramrod a basically dishonest, 2309 page monstrosity which no legislators read and which the majority of Americans opposed through to law.
The fact that federal employees, including those same congresspersons who voted in favor of it, kept their existing and generous medical plan, their Federal Employees Health Benefits Program, and were exempted from Obamacare is perhaps the most telling factor indicative of how farcical the “Patient Protection and Affordable Health Care Act” truly is. The PPAHCA was deemed good enough for the rabble, the hoi polloi, but the very people who brought us Obamacare wanted no part of it.
Its most glaring omission, tort reform, is testimony both to the plethora of lawyers in congress and the act’s lack of serious interest in controlling costs.
One of the prime arguments used to foist Obamacare on the public was the sensitive issue of pre-existing medical conditions and how to cover, and pay, for them: Insurers don’t want to cover them and the public is not inclined to shoulder what could be the astronomical costs of paying for them.
After the House passed a bill to repeal Obamacare, as Republicans had promised, and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid vowed to block even a senate vote on the measure, Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebellius jumped into the fray to pound home the administration line on the invaluability of the existing law and the perils associated with repealing or even altering it.
Sebellius’ press release is a perfect example of the administration’s ongoing duplicity . . .

Unsurprising News: Obamacare, the Groper, and the Gulf
Unsurprising News: Obamacare, the Groper, and the Gulf
With apologies to the Bard, some news is born worthy of being news, some becomes newsworthy as a result of misinterpretation, and some achieves newsworthiness due to wildly-inflated, distorted exaggerations.
Obamacare: Anyone who believed the Democrat-Obamian sales pitch on Obamacare has to have been an Obama-enamored African-American, a disturbed Democrat with a government sinecure, a chronic user of illicit, mind-altering drugs, or all of the above.
All the horrors of Obama’s signature legislation that its opponents warned about are either coming to pass or are in process, from rationing to death panels to higher costs to the dreaded “public option.” The truth about Obamacare will include both intended consequences, which Obamians will deny, and unintended consequences they will declare total surprises, even shocks.
As one observer wrote, ”Higher costs, longer wait times, inferior care–essentially every nightmare scenario envisioned by Obamacare critics is coming true” and, by design, Obama will be out of office or a lame duck when the major horrors kick in in 2014: http://tiny.cc/8t0o3 . . .

Crocks: Obama, Schumer, Gore
Crocks: Obama, Schumer, Gore
The crockiest stories on the wire lately involve our crisis-crazed president, New York’s rude Senator Chuckie Schumer, and former VP/current climate hack, Al Gore.
Critical Barry: Barack Obama recently graded his first year in office with a B+, a generous grade indeed considering he has accomplished virtually nothing over the course of that year, except in the eyes of the politically-motivated Nobel Peace Prize Committee.
Now, with both his chief international and domestic initiatives on the verge of tanking, the man is getting desparate.
As the president takes flight to visit the Copenhagen Climate Change Conference, the talks are in a state of chaos, http://bit.ly/5nRgDe, with Copenhagen engulfed in the Climategate Affair, in a blizzard during global warming, and with police battling Communist agitators.
Obama’s planned “signature” accomplishment, Obamacare, is in Senate Limbo and Majority Leader Reid is expecting his lackeys to vote on a “reckless . . . irresponsible” 2,074 page bill they haven’t even seen: http://bit.ly/8S6sHM.
Obama has apparently written off climate change agreement and stoked up his famed Crisis Machine to push through health care reform.
The president seems to have a special affinity for crises. Hence we had the bank crisis, the auto crisis, the economic crisis, the climate crisis and, of course, the ongoing health crisis.
Obama’s cure for the health crisis has now become the be-all-and-end-all for the United States of America, without which the nation will go belly up.
With a straight face, ”President Obama told ABC News’ Charles Gibson in an interview that if Congress does not pass health care legislation that will bring down costs, the federal government ‘will go bankrupt.’ ”
No mention was made of plagues of locusts and pestilence and no explanation was offered as to how failure to pass a $2.5 trillion measure will bankrupt us but passing it will make us solvent.
Go figure.
Mind you, that passage, which absolutely must be rushed through before Christmas, is totally unrelated to the fact Congresspeople would once again have to suffer the slings and arrows of outraged constituents over the Christmas break and maybe return without the same resolve to do the president’s bidding.
It’s also totally unrelated to Obama’s crying need to have something, anything, to show for 2009 when he delivers the 2010 State of the Union Address in January or else see 2009 cast upon the dungheap of abyssmal failure.
Chuckie’s Revenge: No stranger to crocks, New York’s senior United States Senator Charles Ellis “Chuckie” Schumer, Prince of Pork, Defender of Bill Clinton and Women, Supporter of Same Sex Marriage, Anti-bank Regulator, and Precipitator of the IndyMac Bank Debacle, also has a nasty mouth.
We have all said things and used cuss words we regret but most politicians have more class–or should have more class–than to publically revile a woman with the B-word, that word rhyming with itch.
Chuckie, however, . . .
