Following President Barack Hussein Obama’s cynical, election year, unconstitutional exercise of executive fiat to grant virtual amnesty to illegal aliens, his popularity with Latinos soared.




Now that the Supreme Court of the United States has thrown out large portions of Arizona’s SB1070, many Latinos are ready to declare Obama emperor for life.



No doubt heartened by the Homeland Security Agency’s unheralded decision to suspend agreements with police in Arizona to enforce national immigration laws and direct federal authorities not to respond to police reports of illegal immigrants, the hispanic community may now push for the president’s canonization.



However, Latinos shouldn’t count their quesadillas before they’re baked or cast their ballots for Señor Obama before they understand that this constitutional scholar presidente’ has a penchant for ignoring the Constitution and for not enforcing laws he doesn’t like, inclinations likely to be overturned by SCOTUS. Latinos should also be aware that the Supreme Court upheld Arizona’s police right to ask “Papers, please” of anyone reasonably believed to be squatting is in our country.



Obama’s immigration policies pretend to secure our border but in actuality represent a license for Mexican reprobates to rape, murder, and pillage in Arizona and other border states.



With Allah’s blessing, in November Obama will be re-assigned to his old job of rabble-rousing on Chicago’s mean streets and government harassment of Arizona will cease.



The best bet for Latinos intent on rendering our southern border completely farcical and dividing America is not to count on Obama or the Supremes but instead to cast their lot with La Raza and hope that organization succeeds in re-instituting the siesta tradition so they don’t have to witness the drug cartels murdering everyone in sight.

Wait, you’ve never heard of La Raza and don’t give a hoot whether it rises, falls, or turns purple?

That’s understandable if you don’t live in America’s southwest or out on the Left Coast. There, people are very familiar with at least the name “La Raza” even if many don’t understand the movement or its goals.

Fear not, you soon may, although it’s doubtful you’ll hear or read much in the mainstream media about the plan of the radical, revolutionary La Raza to re-claim huge swaths of America’s southwest for Mexico to re-unify it under the mythical Mexican kingdom of Aztlan.

You soon may because President Barack Hussein Obama has just named former La Raza Vice President, Cecilia Muñoz, to the post of White House Domestic Policy Director. After serving for three years as Obama’s point woman on legalizing illegals, Muñoz will now be in charge of administering and executing the nation’s domestic policies.

She will also serve as a high-profile Latino during an election year in which the president is desperately seeking the Latino vote to put him over the top in November.

What’s wrong with this picture? Tons!

Aztlan or Aztatlian never existed except in Mexican legend yet La Raza is unabashedly dedicated to waging war on what it calls the “northern front” to seize lands allegedly stolen with the 1848 signing of the Treaty of Guadalupe-Hidalgo.

That treaty concluded the Mexican-American War won by the United States and stripped Mexico of a full 55% of its territory.

Considering that La Raza is waging its vindictive and mindless war under the banner of a myth, its ambitions are breathtaking: Those lands now encompass the entirety of the states of Colorado, California, Arizona, Texas, Utah, New Mexico, Oregon, parts of Washington, and would increase the size of Mexico by a full third, not to mention converting tens of millions of Americans into Mexicans.

It’s doubtful Cecilia Muñoz will be able to win the second Mexican-American war or accomplish that re-unification in her new role as National Domestic Policy Director.

In “Grease,” Danny and Sandy memorably sang, “We go together like rama lama lama ke ding a de dinga a dong remembered for ever like shoo bop shoo wadda wadda yipitty boom de boom.”

Rama lamas, ke dings, shoo bops, and boom de booms aside, our president has a radically different view of what most Americans believe “going together” and “togetherness” mean. His view is that they mean going and being together on the surface until the next election and in the interim he’s into anything but true inclusiveness.

Central to the prospects of four more years of Obamian divisiveness, race-baiting, economic stagflation, socializing health care, et al. is the administration’s linkage of those groups he must cajole and pay off. All others can go to hell.

His prime constituencies, misguided whites who will again vote for Obama in repentance for white guilt, naive blacks who would vote for him en masse even if he were to profess membership in Al-qaeda, gays who have gotten virtually all they have demanded and want even more, and the millions of hispanics who especially like him because he hates us gringos as much as they do.

Nowhere has Obama’s obsequious catering to the hispanic vote been more blatant than in his southern border policy, or lack thereof.

Janet Napolitano’s TSA got a temporary Texan comeuppance to its insane airport security pat-down policies which this week incorporated a diaper wrinkle as TSA agents literally sniffed into an infant’s nappy in search of a bomb. Late Thursday, the Texas House passed a bill that would make “inappropriate” touching of a traveller’s “anus, sexual organ, buttocks, or breast,” including through clothing, a criminal act. No mention was made of diapers.

No mention to any of that touching is necessary with regard to America’s borders which Big Bro Obama and Big Sis Napolitano contend are as secure as the White House grounds. well, maybe not that secure but certainly as secure as New York City, well, maybe not that secure either but very secure, really.

Our president has more on his mind than borders, anyway. . .

Humor, Calderon-Salazar Style

Politicians are by nature gregarious, almost as gregarious as they are entertaining.

Showing that our own politicos don’t have a lock on the absurd, Mexico’s President Felipe Calderon gave fair warning to Americans during his visit to the Land of the Gringos that Mexicans were getting upset with us over the illegal immigration issue. Before we go ahead and do something foolish, like securing our borders and asserting our national integrity, Calderon wants us to speak softly and drop Teddy Roosevelt’s menacing, big stick.

Calderon didn’t specifically refer to Teddy’s stick but he did declare that, “We need to change the general perception inside the public opinion in America and the public opinion in Mexico” because ”bad feelings are growing on both sides of the border. The anti-American feeling in Mexico is growing again” and we should all make nice.

He didn’t actually say that either. What Calderon did say was that, “What we need to do is remember each other–that we are neighbors, we are nice, and we are human persons. We contribute to each other’s prosperity.”

In a Q&A following a speech to the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars, the Mexican president added that the “Dream Act,” would have been a great move a toward alleviating those Mexican “bad feelings” and negative perceptions toward America: http://tiny.cc/lv7kr

In a joint appearance with President Obama, Calderon also voiced his hearty support for Obama’s Comprehensive Immigration Reform.

We certainly can’t permit those feelings and perceptions to fester and should, therefore, have passed the “Dream Act,” which would have rewarded young criminal illegals in our country. We certainly should endorse Obama’s package which would express the nation’s appreciation to the other 13 million or so, mostly-Mexican, criminal illegal aliens who have violated our laws by sneaking across the border, who have taken jobs away from legal residents, who have wreaked havoc in border towns, who don’t pay income taxes and have over-stuffed our prison systems.

Still, Calderon’s ideas could be implemented, with one stipulation: Mexico would have to repeal its own onerous immigration laws which make Arizona’s seem like an engraved invitation.

Among other things, those laws provide for the imprisonment and/or expulsion of any foreigners stupid enough to intrude on Mexican soil and the jailing of those who assist them. They also impose severe restrictions even on legal immigrants, requiring an unblemished character and a capacity to significantly contribute to Mexican society.

Until such repeal, we should regard Calderon’s suggestions for what they must be, a tongue-in-cheeky effort to induce American guffaws.

The United States Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar isn’t especially known as a stand-up comedian but he recently rivaled Felipe Calderon’s comical ideas in his statements on American energy independence.

With a straight face–politicians are awesome when they tell jokes–Salazar ridiculed the popular chant, “Drill, baby, drill!” and dismissed without answering a question on getting oil from the Alaskan National Wildlife Refuge. His non-response: “We don’t believe that you need to drill everywhere.”

No one had suggested drilling “everywhere.” . . .

For at least two years, America has been living those “interesting times” referred to in the ancient Chinese proverb-curse and, if anything, those times are getting more “interesting” almost by the day. It makes one wonder what the blazes is going on.

For example, what are we and our long-time, closest ally Great Britain to make of reports that, “The US secretly agreed to give the Russians sensitive information on Britain’s nuclear deterrent to persuade them to sign a key treaty.” That information comes from WikiLeaks and is being reported only by Britain’s The Telegraph since Obama’s MSM is ignoring it as per custom.

The Brit tabloid reports further that, “Information about every Trident missile the US supplies to Britain will be given to Russia as part of an arms control deal signed by President Barack Obama next week,” http://tiny.cc/jslt4, which gives rise to questions as to whose side is our president on and whether that “special relationship” between America and the Brits is still special to Obama.

But the news gets better, or worse, depending on your perspective.

The United States of America is the pre-eminent world power, the only superpower left standing after the U.S.S.R. crumbled thanks in large part to Ronald Reagan and Pope John Paul II even if libs hate to admit their invaluable assistance. To our south is the land of Estados Unidos Mexicanos, aka Mexico, a borderline Third World nation which tends to value siestas, tamales, and tortillas as highly as its oil reserves.

So, why are American citizens in our southwest begging Mexico for electrical power? . . .

What To Do With an Annoying Neighbor

What do you do with an annoying neighbor? Ignore them, of course, insofar as you can.

But, what do you do with a neighbor who isn’t just annoying but who climbs over your fence? Well, ignore them the first time and after that speak sternly to them.

Yeah, fine, but what do you do if they persistently climb over your fence and poison your dog, steal your garden tools, threaten your family, and generally wreak havoc in the neighborhood? Well, short of shooting them on the spot, you could call the cops and you might consider visiting the neighbor and laying down the law.

Republican Texas Governor Rick Perry has one of those havoc-wreaking neighbors. We all do. The neighbor is Mexico where the government has demonstrated that not only can it not control its criminal elements but actually encourages its citizens to continue trespassing on our turf but provides maps, sustenance, and tips for those millions of invaders on how to evade capture by those gringos to its north.

Governor Perry wants to pay neighboring Mexico a visit–via the United States’ militar, although he couches his suggestion in politician-ese, saying on MSNBC, “I think we have to use every aspect of law enforcement that we have, including the military. I think you have the same situation as you had in Colombia.”

Then comes the politician-ese, “Obviously, Mexico has to approve any type of assistance that we can give them” and offers his rationale: “But the fact of the matter is, these are people who are highly motivated with money. They are vicious. They are armed to the teeth. I want to see them defeated. And any means that we can to run these people off our border and to save Americans’ lives we need to be engaged in.”

A Nation Defined and Defiled

. . . Lady Liberty’s inscription in part reads,”Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free.” It makes no reference nor does it imply that illegal aliens, often reprobate aliens, are invited to join us in the ongoing, 221 year old experiment in liberty that is America.

Nevertheless, that invitation has been extended to virtually everyone on Planet Earth, including those misanthropic earthlings whose primary purpose in life is to destroy us. All we used to ask is that immigrants enter the country legally and abide by our laws. It was assumed they would learn our language and willingly assimilate into our culture.

Most people would call that immigration policy suicidal, especially when many sneak in, violate our laws, and reject our language and culture. The United States calls it multiculturalism, inclusion, anything other than an asinine, national suicide policy.

This week the laughable Department of Homeland Security’s U.S. Customs and Border Protection division, CBP, issued its annual report which included an admission that it has established “effective control” of only 873 miles of our 1,954 mile border with Mexico–and that’s an “improvement” over 2009! . . .

California’s Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger announced on Friday that he would be sending the California National Guard to the Mexican border, thereby fulfilling his pledge to President Obama.

Hip, hip, hooray!

Well, the announcement is not quite hooray-able since the role of the 224 troops will be only supportive and the forces, while armed, “will not be deployed in a direct law enforcement role.”

In other words and following the president’s lead in May, the California Guard will constitute figurative teats on a bull, not protecting the state’s Mexican border, not apprehending illegals, not inhibiting the influx of illegal drugs, not guarding California, not defending the southern California populace from marauding invaders, murderers, thieves, and rapists.

Why the National Guardsmen even have weapons and ammunition is a bewilderment.

Aztlan or Aztatlian never existed except in Mexican legend which fact has not been a discouragement to groups such as La Raza which have been relentlessly striving for the reunification of Aztlan under the aegis of the National Council of La Raza, the NCLR, and the Movemiento Estudiantil Chicano de Aztlan, MEChA.

A look at a map of Aztlan shows the mythical nation is composed of lands north of Mexico proper, lands allegedly stolen by the United States with the signing of the Treaty of Guadalupe-Hidalgo in 1848 which ended the Mexican-American War.

The gringos won that war and the Mexicans acceded to our demands. That case should be long closed, but it isn’t. Not even close.

It’s common courtesy for a guest invited into someone’s home to be gracious, non-judgemental, and not contumely. Similarly, it’s common sense that the homeowner also not tolerate rude and insulting behavior on the part of said guest.

The President of Mexico has been visiting the White House–the American peoples’ house–and he engaged in notably un-diplomatic behavior, markedly rude behavior, and the current caretaker of our house thought so little of his fellow countrymen that he refused to call him on it.

In a joint, two question, press conference in the Rose Garden on Wednesday, President Felipe Calderon criticized the Arizona law on illegal immigrants. “Many of them, [illegals whom he prefers to call “migrants”] despite their significant contribution to the economy and to the society of the United States, still live in the shadows and, occasionally, as in Arizona, they even face discrimination,” Calderon said.

How Proudly It Waves

Leftists, liberals, “progressives” are all fond of Dr. Samuel Johnson’s definition of patriotism, that it’s the last refuge of scoundrels, and use it to attack conservatives, flag wavers, anyone with great pride in our country.

According to Thomas Boswell, Johnson’s biographer, the lexicographer never meant to impugn true patriotism but rather false, phony, insubstantial love of country, all of which adjectives perfectly describe the sentiments of leftists, liberals, and “progressives.”

Flags and patriotism have been very much in the news of late, principally relating to the uproar that has arisen on both sides of the issue of Arizona’s new immigration law recently signed by that state’s governor, Jan Brewer.

More so now than at any other period in the past six decades, a sense of true patriotism is a requisite for these times that are trying men’s souls and there is no better time to demonstrate that love of country and no better way than by displaying, waving, and defending the symbol of the nation, the flag of the United States of America.

The stars and stripes are currently under attack by a wide assortment of foreign and domestic enemies. We can and will defend the country against foreign foes which in some sense are more easily defeated than those already on our shores.

Homegrown enemies and the forces of foreign enemies who have invaded our land by the millions are more challenging and insidious since they eat at the very soul of America from within our borders, leeches who suck the life blood from America even as they show contempt for our values and our symbols. . .

We all know the devil can cite scripture for his purpose and that words can be twisted out of all proportion from their original meaning and intent.

Such is the case with the term “a nation of immigrants” which has become a catch phrase of the illegal immigration, illegal migration, undocumented workers now demonstrating nationwide for reform of America’s immigration laws.

Aside from those “nations” which don’t deserve that designation by virtue of having no defined borders or no interest in or capability of defending their borders, the United States of America has some of the less stringent immigration laws on the planet.

Post 9/11 and much too late, we tightened up visa, immigration, and citizenship policies but it’s worth noting that all of that tightening relates to legal immigrants, those willing to wait on line, be patient, pay the relevant fees and hope for admission into our great land. . .

“Three Border Patrol agents are assaulted on the average day at or near the U.S.A border. Someone is kidnapped every 35 hours in Phoenix, Ariz., often by agents of alien smuggling organizations. That excerpt of a CNS report based on DOJ figures doesn’t even mention the number of assaults and murders of both civilians and law enforcement officials, the high-speed chases of criminal suspects, the school over-crowding, the closed hospitals, the high costs across the board for Arizonans to be the unwilling hosts of hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens from Mexico.

Yet, Mexico treats undocumented visitors traversing its Third World environs en route to the USA as invaders and condemns Arizona’s new immigration law which is far more lenient than Mexico’s and simply codifies on a state level already existing and unenforced federal laws.

As expected, the Commander in Chief in Charge of Defending Illegality jumped into the Arizona controversy as did San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsome who declared Arizona off limits as did the usual agitators such as Al Sharpton, all insisting that Arizona be blacklisted as a pariah state which should be shunned by all civilized peoples.
