Re-birth of the Birthers
When a grinning Barack Hussein Obama finally produced his long form Hawaiian birth certificate on April 27, 2011–following years of questions fueled by strong suspicions he was born in Kenya–he felt certain all doubts that he was constitutionally-qualified to hold the office of the presidency had been laid to rest.
They hadn’t.
Principal contributing factors for the qustions related to the inexplicably inordinate delays in providing the Long Form certificate and the million or so dollars the Obama camp spent to avoid the minimalist task of simply displaying a piece of paper. Neither the delay nor the money expended made any sense.
Testimony to the lingering doubts, Arizona’s Sherrif Joe Arpaio recently launched a privately-funded 6 month investigation into the matter of exactly who and what our president was, Kenyan or American?
As he announced at a press conference, no major media source had investigated the controversy so his cold case posse of volunteers would look into the issue in order to resolve it once and for all.
Arpaio said after receiving the posse report, ”We believe probable cause exists indicating that forgery and fraud may have been committed, not only in President Obama’s long-form birth certificate, but more disturbing evidence suggests that another fraud may have been committed regarding his selected service registration card. Based on all of the evidence presented and investigated I cannot in good faith report to you that these documents are authentic.” (http://abcn.ws/zrMUTU)
Although Arpaio was convinced that both Obama’s birth certificate and draft card were forgeries, he isn’t prepared to accuse the president, yet. The investigation is continuing.
Left unmentioned by the sheriff is the issue of Obama’s Social Security card number which was originally issued to a French immigrant born in 1890 and re-issued to Obama in the state of Connecticut in 1977. The 15 year old Barry was residing in Hawaii with his maternal grandparents at the time and never resided in the Nutmeg State.
At least one blogger has suggested the grandparents’ connection with well-connected Connecticut socialite, Helen Canfield, helped grease the skids to secure a SSN for Obama since he lacked an American birth certificate.
On the other hand, Snopes.com, long an avid Obama defender, alleged the SSN was valid. Snopes termed the brouhaha “fantastical.” As “proof,” Snopes said Jean Paul Ludwig’s SSN was different and offered for verification a link to the Social Security Death Index which turned out to be useless and referred searchers to Ancestry.com.
Personally, I’m dubious as to all the birther allegations despite their potent arguments that Barack Hussein Obama was not born in the United States of America and thus ineligible to serve as president–and subject to prosecution as a liar and usurper.
Perhaps due to my septuagenarian naiveté, I find it difficult to accept that America’s mainstream media would not have reported those damning facts.

It’s far too early to tell how history will regard the presidency of Barack Hussein Obama, although there are clear indices it will be as an abject failure, but we already know he will go down as the most secretive and controversial president since Richard Nixon. The controversies over two issues, his birth certificate and his college transcripts, continue to swirl and cloud his office and that swirling and clouding are Obama’s own doing.
These may or not be new news concerning those documents to many readers but they’re relatively new theories to me. Since Obama has adamantly refused to release either a valid birth certificate or his transcripts–or his medical records–and since both theories make a great deal of sense and are entirely feasible, I’m sharing them.
THE BIRTH CERTIFICATE QUESTIONS: Even after so-called “Birthers” have been dismissed for years as fruitcakes by the MSM, they have very much in the news lately thanks largely to Donald Trump, a quasi-birther. True birthers express very serious reservations concerning Obama’s origins–Kenya or Hawaii. The Donald simply says he doesn’t know.
He cites the millions Obama has spent to suppress the information, the silliness of his offering a useless Hawaiian “certificate of live birth,” the inability of the Democrat governor and friend of the Obama family to locate a real birth certificate, and his hope that it doesn’t become an issue in the 2012 election when Trump may be the Republican nominee.
That last is as likely as Dennis Kucinich being the Dem nominee but the issues Trump raises are all valid and amount to the same question Birthers have: Is Obama constitutionally qualified to serve as President of the United States?

Bad Pennies, Bad Birthers?
I don’t know the derivation of the idiom, “to turn up like a bad penny,” but if it means that certain nasty things keep recurring for a reason, lots of “bad pennies” keep turning up in America.
One very nasty penny is the one that was thrown into the political ring almost three years ago by so-called “birthers,” people not much interested in Sir Elton John’s surrogate baby but who are very much interested in just who the hell our president is, where he really came from, and whether he should be deposed and sent back to Kenya to let the Village Nitwit, VP Biden, rule us for the next two years.
Those weirdo birthers have been treated by the mainstream media as disgruntled losers since even before Barack Hussein Obama became president, ever since they raised the question as to where he was born and why, to this day, he still refuses to authorize release of the only concrete evidence that would certify his eligibility to serve as president of the United States, a valid birth certificate.
Considering what’s at stake, such a request hasn’t been all that much to ask, except to Obama and his MSM. Now, that penny, that worm, is turning and whether it ends up to be a bad penny or bad worm is entirely in Obama’s court.
When an old bud and schoolmate suggests the president clear the fetid air surrounding his presidency by authorizing release of an official, verifiable, long-form Hawaiian certificate of birth, it would seem incumbent on Obama to comply. When an allegedly objective television political commentator who has admittedly and unashamedly experienced thrills running up his legs in the presence of his idol demands that the idol produce the damned thing, Obama should take heed as if it were a biblical injunction . . .

Good Old Aunt Zeituni, the Classic Leech, Speaks!
Regular readers may recall Barack Obama’s Kenyan Aunt Zeituni, an illegal immigrant who has been on the public dole in Boston since she first graced our shores in 2000.
She thinks that’s just fine and perfectly equitable because America has a duty to take care of everyone who manages to sneak into our country or who arrives on a temporary visa and overstays that visa, indefinitely in her case. The 9/11 terrorist Muhammad Atta did the same thing.
She also believes it’s eminently fair that she was permitted to”cut the line,” to jump to the head of a public housing queue because, well because she happens to be Zeituni Onyango, Obama’s “dear Aunt Zeituni,” as he describes her in his memoir, Dreams from My Father.
Only Barack Obama, and his father and other family members, could consider Onyango in any way part of any dream. Most Americans would regard her and her obnoxious sense of entitlement–as an illegal alien, yet!–as our worst nightmare.
The same judge who twice rejected her request (demand?) for asylum and who twice ordered her out of the country and back to Kenya, orders she ignored, ultimately granted that asylum on the peculiar basis that her life and well- being would be jeopardized in her own land because she was aunt to an American president.
Immigration Judge Leonard Shapiro had rejected that contention . . .

2 Books, 2 Obamas, Same Rage
Two books about two different Barack Obamas are hot off the press and, based on reviews, promise to be fascinating reading even if the media have afforded them scant attention. One would not please the president, he may be ambivalent about the other.
The first book, The Roots of Obama’s Rage written by Dinesh D’Souza, who is clearly not a member of the president’s fan club, describes Obama as “a much stranger, more determined, and exponentially more dangerous man than you’d ever imagined.”
According to one book review, in D’Souza’s view, Obama doesn’t give much of a hoot about past civil rights struggles, which would seriously disappoint many of his supporters. On the other hand, those critics who believe he is motivated by Marxism-socialism, as his father, Barack Obama Sr. was, will also be disappointed since the author contends that those “isms” are not his inspiration.
His true inspiration, his motivation, the driving force behind Barack Hussein Obama, is much scarier than any Marxist-socialist philosophies.
That review continues, “What really motivates Barack Obama is an inherited rage—an often masked, but profound rage that comes from his African father; an anticolonialist rage against Western dominance, and most especially against the wealth and power of the very nation Barack Obama now leads. It is this rage that explains the previously inexplicable, and that gives us a startling look at what might lie ahead.”
Furthermore, the president sees his own country, our country . . .

What do you do with an auntie named Zeituni?
I posed that Maria-ish question back in February in “Zeituni’s Place in Obama’s Zeitgeist,” (http://tiny.cc/ncqdx), when President Barack Hussein Obama’s Aunt Zeituni Onyango was still awaiting a decision on her third request for asylum in the United States.
Onyango, a Kenyan, just like Obama’s father and much of his extended family, arrived on our shores in 2000, overstayed her visa–by about 10 years–went on welfare and lived in a homeless shelter.
She then was given priority treatment for public housing in Boston while seeking legal refuge here on the questionable basis that she would be in danger if she returned home to Kenya because she was the aunt of a U.S. president.
Unemployed, she still lives in South Boston on disability payments of $700. a month.
In any event, she insisted she didn’t want any special treatment from nephew Barack due to her familial status, and insists she didn’t get any.
Despite being fondly remembered in Obama’s Dreams from My Father, the president said that if she were living here as an illegal alien–which she was, and on the dole–”Dear Auntie Zeituni” should be deported. As he put it, ”If she has violated laws, then those laws have to be obeyed. We are a nation of laws.”
To his credit, I guess, Obama cuts no slack for relatives. . .

A rapid, extended–and emphatic–refutation quickly followed the posting of my article, “Of Birthers and Truthers, Part One.”
Because of the rapidity, detailed–and forceful– response and at the risk of suggesting yet another conspiracy, one has to wonder whether the commenter, “granite,” who is otherwise unidentified, is a member of a presidential Rapid Response Team assigned to shoot down any speculation as to Barack Hussein Obama’s true birthplace and eligibility for the presidency.
Please note that in that article, I didn’t take a position on the validity of the Birthers’ claims and merely tried to show that the MSM has ignored most of their allegations.
Below is the notice of “granite’s” comment and that comment verbatim. The reader should also be aware that all the issues in the article aren’t addressed and that, of the six links provided by “granite” to substantiate his case, four are broken, (”Page not found,” etc.) Make of that what you will.

So much has been written and said about so-called “Birthers,” those people who question Barack Hussein Obama’s status as a “natural born citizen,” and so-called “Truthers,” those who question the official account of the events on September 11th, 2001, that it’s nearly impossible to separate the wheat from the chaff.
The wheat, that is, the truth, is there, somewhere buried deep beneath all the chaff, the baloney and propaganda, but unearthing that truth is no simple matter for someone who has never subscribed to either the Birther or Truther alleged conspiracies.
Let’s immediately dispel the most common slander employed against the Birthers namely that they’re racists who cooked up the whole Obama birth controversy out of their antagonism toward the first black president in America’s history.
There is no substantive proof of a racist motivation on the part of Birthers. That charge of racism has been used from the beginning of Obama’s candidacy to dismiss virtually all who speak ill of the man, his beliefs, or his policies.
It’s an excellent, if underhanded, ploy when you think about it, deftly tossing the racist card into the campaign mix whenever someone criticized Obama. Rarely tossed overtly, it was more often implicit and probably garnered a few million white votes cast by those who wanted desparately to assure themselves and others that they weren’t racists.
It’s also more than curious that the MSM fell all over itself dismissing and ridiculing Birthers with no real effort to investigate their contentions and standpoint, much like they did with interrelated rumors that Obama was really a Muslim and as they subsequently did with regard to the Tea Party Movement.
That failure alone is reason enough to give at least some credence to the Birthers.
(Incidentally, there’s no substantive proof, either, that Birthers are a disturbed product of a resurrection of Hillary Clinton’s “vast, right wing conspiracy.”)
As a non-Birther, I figured going directly to the source was the best bet toward determining just how valid a case the Birthers made for their view that Barack Hussein Obama was a poseur not constitutionally-entitled to the presidency no matter how many votes he received . . .

What do you do with an auntie named Zeituni?
That doesn’t quite have the ring of “What do you do with a girl named Maria?” but the Zeituni question poses an even greater challenge for Obama than Maria did for Mother Abbess in Sound of Music.
Kenyan Zeituni Onyango, age 57, is an illegal alien living in the United States for the last 10 years, for the most part in subsidized, Boston public housing on the taxpayers’ dime, has no visible means of support, and is a criminal by virtue of her illegal status.
She also happens to be President Obama’s dear Auntie Zeituni who is pleading for asylum for the third time.
What to do?
On the one hand, Obama could extend an empathetic hand to a blood relative whom he had affectionately praised in Dreams from My Father. She was in attendance at his Senate swearing inceremony in 2004 and was in the audience at her Obama’s inauguration.
This is no distant relative nor a demented aunt to be consigned to the attic or basement.
Aunt Zeituni, out of sight, out of mind, shouldn’t hold her breath awaiting empathy from a millionaire president who turned his back on another blood relative, his half-brother George who, at last word, is still subsisting on a buck a week in a suburban Nairobi hovel.
Zeituni has been living on our shores since 2000 . . .

A Christmas Miscellany
There’s so much important news swirling about, it’s a challenge to try to separate the wheat from the chaff.
Obvious and irrelevant chaff is Chelsea’s engagement to the son of another criminal, the White House party crashers, John Gotti beating another rap, Tiger Woods and his various “transgressions,” and just about anything President Obama says.
However, there are significant things happening, even if they sometimes get lost in the news shuffle, and some relate to the Christmas season that is upon us:
. The Chrismas Comeback: After too many years of listening to the humbuggers’ relentless campaign to ban Christmas in favor of the generic Holidays, at least some retailers have gotten the message that, “Yes, Virginia, this IS a Christian country,” despite Barack Hussein’s protestations to the contrary.
Since before its inception, this Christian country has celebrated Christmas, not the winter solstice and, thanks to the silent majority finally rising up and advising Christmas pofiteers of that fact, Wal-mart, K-mart and Sears, among others have wakened up to smell the holly.
