Fostering Gender Confusion in Canada

Fostering Gender Confusion in Canada

There’s little consolation for normal American parents of normal American schoolchildren that bizarre school ideas are also in full, sick bloom north of the border but our northern neighbors afford a degree of hope.

There’s no word, yet, that teachers in Canadian public schools are present when second graders are cavorting au natural in their classrooms and performing oral sex on one another, as one teacher was last week in Oakland, CA, but maybe it just hasn’t been made public. (See “Premature Sex-Ed for Second Graders,” http://www.genelalor.com/blog1/?p=3472, for the sketchy, kitschy, kinky details on that abomination.)

Canuck educators are evidently very eager to demonstrate that they, too, are very much on their “progressive” game, the same game American teachers and administrators have been practicing for some time now under the aegis of the diversity-obsessed National Education Association.

However, officials at King City Public Schools north of Toronto had bad news for their students. Cross-Dressing Day, aka Opposite Gender Day, was canceled last Friday after King City parents told them what to do with that planned perversion. York Region District School Board spokesman explained the board’s change of heart by saying, “Opposite Gender Day has been canceled in the wake of concerns of parents. The idea of [students] experiencing being people of the opposite gender has offended some people in the community, and the school does not want to do that.”

Go figure! After all, don’t all little girls want to be like little boys and vice-versa? . . .

Dumb, Dumber, Dumbest

. . . Dumbest: We all bite off more than we can chew once in a while but Somali pirates bit one huge mouthful when they decided to hijack and hold for ransom an American guided missile frigate, the USS Nicholas.

In the understatement of the month, British piracy expert Roger Middleton commented, “They might not always make rational decisions, and they often attack things that are bigger than they should . . . It’s also quite possible that they don’t have a full understanding of the targets they are attacking. Perhaps they just see a big ship they think is a worth a lot of money.”

No kidding, Rog! . . .

Shouting and Hooting Updates

Shouting and Hooting Updates

In these fast-moving times, situations change rapidly necessitating updates to keep matters current. Thus these on “Shouting, Hooting, and Howling,” http://bit.ly/dk31O5

Re: the “SHOUTING” section, a semi-apology to Texas congressman Randy Neugebauer.

Rep. Neugebauer fessed up as the guy who bellowed out during Rep. Bart Stupak’s foolish attempt to appear a pro-life Democrat in his pro-life Michigan neck-of-the-woods and try to defend his cowardly retreat from that position on Sunday night.

See “Bart Stupak: Ignoramus, Hypocrite, or Both,” http://www.genelalor.com/blog1/?p=1580.

Stupak didn’t fool anyone and nor did Neugebauer when he actually shouted, ”Baby killer!” at Stupak.

Neugebauer subsequently conceded that he was the shouter but then resorted to classic congressional CYA by insisting he had really bellowed, “It’s a baby killer” in reference to the Obamacare bill the House had just passed in a squeaker, 219-212.

In deference to colleague Stupak, to whom Neugebauer apologized, the Texan had to lie that he was not vilifying Stupak but rather ripping the pro-abortion Obamacare bill. . .

The Exemplars of Obamacare

The Exemplars of Obamacare

When plotting radical changes, government should always have a model, a fallback positioning to which it can point and say, “See! That’s what we’re doing or trying to do.”

As the president sits down with friend and foe for his scheduled six hour tête-à-tête, his nationally-televised pitch for his version of Obamacare, some related news on those exemplars has been gurgling to the surface.

First came Canadian Newfoundland and Labrador Premier Danny Williams who effectively said to Health Canada, that country’s socialized health care system, fuggedaboudit. I want some real health care, down south in that barbaric nation, the United States.

Williams’ heart condition health issue doesn’t even seem to be life-threatening. However, he flew to Miami for treatment because, as he confessed, “This was my heart, my choice and my health. I did not sign away my right to get the best possible health care for myself when I entered politics:” http://bit.ly/bZkqTK

Put less diplomatically, Danny was saying that Canada’s health care system was fine for the peons but as for him, he preferred good health care.

If Premier Williams had any class . . .
