Two Teen Terrors: Mitt and Barry

Two Teen Terrors: Mitt and Barry

I don’t know about you but I was neither a perfect child nor an exemplary teenager.

I did well academically but I was often disciplined by elementary-school nuns who thought my childhood antics were inspired by the devil or by a devilish new invention, television. When I became a teen, I was even worse and engaged in activities which today would be deemed typical but in the fifties were somewhat beyond the norm.

Kids and teens say and do the darnedest things, even future presidential candidates.

According to a new Rasmussen poll, presumptive GOP nominee Mitt Romney is currently running 7 points ahead of President Barack Hussein Obama and the president’s mainstream media is running scared, so scared that they are manufacturing absurd issues in an attempt to discredit Romney’s candidacy.

Granted, the MSM didn’t just launch their smear campaign; they have been attacking the former Massachusetts’ governor ever since they perceived him as a serious threat to their hero.

They have suggested Romney’s Mormon religion is nothing more than a cult, they have impugned his character, they have characterized his career in business as rapacious, they have misrepresented his political positions, they have gone so far as to demean his wife.

Now the MSM has dredged up the dumbest accusation yet–that the teenage Mitt sometimes acted like a teenager.

While ignoring Obama’s horrific teenage history, the mainstreamers ran with a story concerning Romney’s high school penchant for pranks and allegedly demonstrating Romney was a homophobic teen bully. His “crime”? He forcibly cut off the bleached-blond locks of a classmate who may have been a closeted homosexual–during an era when gays were rarities mostly ignored by heteros.

Though Romney had forgotten about the unwelcome haircut, he apologized anyway after the muckraking Washington Post, figurative sharpened hatchet in hand, rooted out the story by contacting an old Mitt buddy almost half a century later.

As ABC News subsequently pointed out, Stu White hadn’t even been present during John Lauber’s hair trimming and has no recollection of it any more than Romney or the now-deceased Lauber’s sister do. Yet, WaPo‘s Jason Horowitz was able to somehow delve into White’s mind and write that he “has long been bothered by the Lauber incident.”

Bothered by an incident he didn’t witness and didn’t recall?

After being exposed for its phony exposé, the Washington Post printed a correction, sans explanation or apology, for its outrageous lie.

The 5400-word WaPo hit piece, published Thursday and corrected on Friday, most likely was composed long before Obama suddenly “evolved” into a supporter of same-sex marriage on Wednesday and was obviously shelved pending an opportune time to bash the Republican. . .

The Self-Destruction of Barack Hussein Obama

The Self-Destruction of Barack Hussein Obama

There’s really no need for whoever wins the Republican nomination for president to campaign much at all. President Barack Hussein Obama has provided more than enough ammunition over the past three and a half years to send him back to Illinois, or Hawaii, or wherever he came from.

This is another story his mainstream media will downplay or bury but it doesn’t matter this time around–as long as the Republican National Committee has the funding to circulate its complilation of what is being called “the book” and to run powerful television ads like the one recently shown in Iowa.

In no way can that one minute video be construed as an attack ad, unless commentary by Bill Clinton (“We’re going in the wrong direction”), Maxine Waters (“We don’t know what the strategy is”), Chris Matthews (“Is this as good as it gets?”), and his admission of failure (“I don’t think people are better off than they were four years ago”) are considered attacks.

In addition, interspersed among those observations by Obama stalwarts are headlines blaring truths about poverty and unemployment which the president can deny only if he contends CBS, the Washington Post, and MSNBC are a bunch of liars.

As for “the book,” it contains some 500 pages of presidential quotations and video links highlighting the candidate and the president’s unfulfilled promises, pledges, and boasts. Though not yet released, WaPo somehow got hold of portions and ”reviewed” them. (http://wapo.st/uB81ri)

The review by an eminent member of Obama’s MSM described the untitled tome as “The new GOP playbook designed to take one of Obama’s great assets–the power of his oratory–and turn it into a liability.”

One could easily take issue with the claim of Obama’s oratorical power. His speeches are more akin to demagogic, telepromptered blatherings to worshipful, untutored audiences. In any event, “the power of his oratory” isn’t disputed in “the book.” The “liability” rests in what he has said, not in how he said it.

It’s unclear how much of “the book” WaPo had access to . . .

Obamacrat Slurs, Snipes, and Smears

Obamacrat Slurs, Snipes, and Smears

The other day, Rush Limbaugh warned whomever eventually wins the Republican nomination for the presidency to be prepared for an avalanche of vicious assaults from the re-elect Obama billion dollar attack machine.

Limbaugh was wrong in one respect: That onslaught began months ago with the only distinction being that the viciousness is mostly emanating from Obama acolytes in his mainstream media rather than directly from the White House.

All this year, we have witnessed every Republican hopeful mercilessly pilloried as soon as he or she gains any traction in the GOP sweepstakes. Pawlenty, Trump, Christie, Bachmann, Gingrich, Cain have each had their turn being attacked. If a day goes by without some leftist guttersnipe taking unsubstantiated pot shots at a candidate, Leno and Letterman are ready to ridicule them at night with nasty derision–all in good fun, of course.

The only Republican to escape leftist castigation, relatively, has been Mitt Romney, leading to conjecture that the left wants him to win the nomination because they expect to whup him, just as Carterites were eager to get at Ronald Reagan.

What was it Obama said about the need for more civility? Evidently, the mainstreamers never got that memo.

One of the leaders of the MSM attack pack, the Washington Post, was apparently running out of ammunition with which to abuse the latest target, Newt Gingrich, so WaPo’s Aaron Blake resorted to the internet to gather more dirt. Blake tweeted for his fellow Twitter tweeps to send him all “outlandish/incorrect predictions and quotes” by or about Gingrich that they could dig up or make up.

Note: Blake was in search of the “outlandish/incorrect” rather than the truth. . .

Bring In the Porn and Other Osama/Obama News

Bring in the Porn, and Other Osama/Obama News

There are no reports that Osama bin Mohammed bin Awad bin Laden, أسامة بن محمد بن عوض بن لادن‎, the Butcher of 9/11 recently killed by Barack bin Obama with some assistance from U.S. Navy SEALs, also enjoyed lap dances but we now know he was a porn aficionado as well as a mayhem maven.

Our government is being as mum about OBL’s stash of pornography on his computer(s) as it is about his final candid photographs as shot (pun) by our SEALs but we’re as sure as shooting (another pun) that he had an “extensive” collection of dirty pictures and who knows what else on those computers which, not incidentally, are an invention of those Western devils he used to despise.

Roger Simon argues that Obama and Company can keep the bloody pictures, that is, Osama’s head shots, if they really believe they would be disturbing to Americans and to already-disturbed Muslims.

As rational people are aware, Americans have seen far more graphic photos, including pictures of people hurling themselves off the WTC to escape incineration and pictures of the 9/11 aftermath and, as already noted, Muslims are quite disturbed anyway and hardly require pics to disturb them more. However, there’s no excuse, even government obtuseness, not to publicize OBL’s porn penchant which is a whole other story.

Simon says, “The kind of pornography a man looks at it gives us a certain insight into him. I can’t even begin to guess what excited bin Laden’s twisted brain. It could be something quite banal or something, shall we say, rather outré. I leave that to your imagination . . . Besides that, the promulgation of bin Laden’s porn choices would reduce this holy man further and continue to mock him as a pathetic old man:” http://bit.ly/jI1ygu

So, release the porn and let the riyal chips fall where they may!

In related news, the Washington Post, a subsidiary of the Obama administration along with the vast majority of the MSM, went off the plantation in reporting that Obama’s Pentagon is considering permitting families of captured OBL fanatics at GITMO to visit their imprisoned loved ones.

At the instigation of the International Committee of the Red Cross, . . .
